Towards the end of the season, his shooting got much better. He shot the ball with confidence. You can tell that the game slowed down for him. Omax and hardy will surprise people next season
Pls put exum in that category. He needs his confidence back. Hopefully he gained some when the mavs didn't trade him

My daughter just went to mavs camp and we got to see omax. Got a signed poster from him. Look forward to seeing him shine next year

Thoughts on Jamion Sharp? For me he is a good asset. 7'5" is no joke. He can run and his ave blocks were also perfect. Hope to see him soon on Dallas Roster.

I think Omax is going to be a nice role player and am excited to see him get some consistent minutes this year. Interestingly coach Dudley didn't mince words about Lawson. He's certainly athletic enough, but it's essentially not in his DNA to be a great shooter. So it' comes down to consistently making an impact defensively and not disappearing for stretches on that end. I'm wondering if the Mavs are waiting for the SL to unfold before making some final roster decisions. They did sign a kid to an exhibit 10 today (Gortman) possibly destined to the Legends.

He isn't a forward more so a wing. So he would be Klay's backup most likely

O-Max can be a SG or a lanky Small Forward but he isn't big enough for the 5 or 4 spots like PJ does with his strength. We tried that last preseason with O-Max and it didn't end well as he looked like a baby giraffe out there in the post.

There will be a 3-6 week window where Maxi goes down with an injury (hamstring) and O-Max will get his opportunity. Hope he shines.
Maxi at this point it is almost a given he misses 30-40 games

Can we stop hyping someone whose never done nothing yet. Omax last reg season played only on blowout games or trash minutes. He played 3 games in the Playoffs 1 in LAC and 2 in BOS with a total of 0pts 3reb 1a. He's not even Powell or Kleber ready yet.
He looked a bit clumsy to me in that short period too .
Dudley said that he is not ready by now, and he is hoping that he will able to show during summer league .

Tbh he just needs to focus on D. All the mavs need from him is someone who can defend and not be Ben Wallace on offense. If he can do more offensively great. However, he will definitely need to make his way into the roster.

Omax and Hardy show not enough at all. They have to trade together with Powel, Kleber, Morris and Lawson for some really good backup center and backup playmaker.
When you say stuff like “the mavericks have their summer league debut on I wanna say like Saturday” it really makes the whole video feel under researched and prepared. Like if we are getting information from you there should be a level of certainty with the things you’re saying.

I disagree. Not everything someone says when they record is always perfect. I think it’s pretty apparent how well prepared and knowledgeable knowledgeable he is on not only the Mavs but basketball in general.
He should get some rotation minutes next season💯

I really don't want this team's locker room to be completely changed after a good playoff run. 3 players is enough.
No reason to trade maxi right now. He is still a key defender for a small ball and he's great at the 4 with Gaff or Lively at 5. Having him 3rd string instead of Dwight is just fine.

I agree he looked clumsy every time he got in. No fluent or natural movements but hopefully with his size he can be a good defender.
@@theebraggartwhen he had minutes he showed he can rebound and shoot to an extent. It is valid that can he look awkward in his coordination but his mentality even during the season was that “I’m gonna guard luka/the best player.” Plus he’s pretty athletic he had a couple head at rim level posters

@@Jewbacabra those are fair but we’ve seen kyrie and luka can bring the best out of anyboby- plus having Klay helps. Like last season exum and djj went from overseas/journeymen to key role players on a contender. He does look rigid at times but that’s legit anunoby who is like the best wing defender and good shooter
