Beautifully done! Thanks for this. Just wondered if the cross stitch pieces were blocked beforehand (they didn’t look distorted at all!) . If the fabric is not square can it be blocked (damp stretched?) as you pin it to the foam board? Or would you recommend a two step process? It looked like you were taking great care to ensure the thread in the fabric was parallel to the edge of the foam board to ensure everything lined up.
You could do a two step process. If you got enough experience, you shoot nails directy to attach the cross stitch piece into the frame without any step.
This is a great video! Wish there would have been a list of supplies though. I'll have to go back and watch again and make a list as I view the video. Thank you!
What about spacers for between the glass and the cross stitch to keep the threads from being compressed and the glass from being in constant contact with fabric and threads? I didn't see any used, or if I missed it, what kind were used? Thank you. Very nice job framing other than that.
Extremely helpful and well presented. Thank you! would like to see how you attach hanger components though. My frames say do it first without the glass.
As much as this is an excellent video showing framing, I would be mortified to see pins an nails being put into a piece of needlework which I had beautifully created. I think I shall continue with the lacing method. This is in no way detrimental to your skillfull framing.
What can I do if I didn't leave a lot of cloth on the edges. I didn't think about it and started super close to the edge, maybe 6 rows in? Will I still be able to frame it?

There are already thousands of holes in the cross stitch piece, you can not make any new hole by shooting directly nails on that.
Art & Music by DENNIS Thanks for the replies. I am a “newbie” so I think blocking the piece first would be the safest best for me!
pro tip : you can watch movies on kaldrostream. I've been using it for watching a lot of movies lately.

you could use the plexi spacers, 3/8" or 1/4"
@@artmusicbydennis do you know where one could buy them? thanks

I really enjoyed your video - thank you! May I ask where you get your frames?
I got frames from Picture frame supplies with a professional account

Yes, you could sew fabric strips around and frame it
Or you could frame it with matboards.
You have no spacers between glass and needlework?
"Yes" and "No", it depends on customer, Yes if Artworks have big value, big memorial gifts....No if Artworks for decoration purposes only....
Some with matboards, some without matboard, some with glare, some without glare.....
Can I ask, what do you to the machine that you used in shooting the nails? Thanks

I would liked to have seen you add the hanging hardware to the frame. Add a list of supplies.

How much would it cost to frame the cross stitches in the video?
it's around $200
quite nicely..., however... what was complicated here so?
One can tell that he's done this many times before. And deft use of a thimble.
It should be "angle" not "angel".
Yes, noticed that too. Was going to ask what a 30 degree Angel was...
Melanie W Really? Wasn't it clear to you from the various close-ups of the pins that they weren't inserted perpendicular but at an angle? 🙄
