Ferris was Doughboy's first hit. The movie implies Doughboy doing plenty of bad stuff from a young kid to young man (stealing, assault, drug dealing) But Doughboy wasn't a murderer. He did own a gun for protection but never had to actually use it before killing Ferris. That's why he understood why Tre left the vehicle and told him he didn't want that on his conscience. It's possible some of Doughboys friends might have killed but even that is doubtful. I think they were mainly low level drug dealers/gang bangers who settled disputes with fighting. They had guns in case anything popped off but fortunately never had to use any and the threat of having it was all that was needed.
Yep I totally agree! Personally I don’t think Dookie had any bodies. Something seemed off about him telling the mall story while on the porch and people running out of Contempo. Bragged about having a gun and shooting it in the mall with chaos but then he doesn’t have it on him when the red car pulls up seems suspect. But Monster def had a few bodies under his belt by the way he was handling that assault rifle. Monster kinda reminded me of O Dog from Menace at how easily he was able to just kill without hesitation or thought.

I think the reason why Doughboy was killed , was to show how retaliation happens in the hood. Ferris killed Ricky, doughboy killed Ferris. 2 weeks later doughboy was killed it’s a never ending cycle, I think it’s important to have. I watch this movie last night and I swear this movie still applies with all the violence that’s going on it’s like a game. I really didn’t like the way John Singleton did endings back then. Let Dough Boy go to jail and come back reformed later in life, and went to college. Higher learning could have been a sequel.
Dough Boy definitely was killed by the rival crew. He had no hesitation in pulling his strap earlier in the film, so he definitely used it before. Those definitely weren't his first bodies.
@@AxiomAmnesia those other times may have not been revenge related. Most drug dealers got a body or two, it just comes with the line of work due to expansion, snitching or being double crossed. Or maybe he was just "putting in work" for his gang, like most "soldiers".
Na that was his first body, go to the scene where he killed ferris there was a certain look on his face after the final shot from his pistol. That's not the look someone will have after taking a life.
Two Weeks Later. I am thinking about revisiting your other video about Brenda and how she never hated Doughboy. She wouldn't be so concerned about keeping him out of trouble early in the film if she didn't care.
Two weeks later. I believe Brenda saw doughboy's fate because of his lifestyle. Yes she was hurt. It always when u see ur children chose the wrong path. U pray eventually they might choose the right one. Unfortunately Darren never got the chance to go the right way. Ricky lived a different kind of life n her having to bury him was not expected.
Trae wasnt a gangster...Even thought they never say it Doughboy and his group were crips, The other guys were bloods...They had run ins before that point and Doughboy was also slinging dope. The end was perfect to me because it just highlighted the reality of what happens even though we don't see it on the nightly news or TV. The death cycle continues
Doughboy is my favorite hood character period I see lots of people wearing his tshirts I always wondered y doughboys mom treated him da way she did and who killed doughboy in those 2 weeks and where was doughboy homeboys I love ya movie takes keep up da good work peace and blessings
They knew trey didn't want no smoke. It showed when he left the bbq. Ricky got killed for playing tough the night ferris bumped him. They couldve gotten trey when he turned back for Ricky but instead they drove off. I do think if they stuck together both would've been killed.
I think it would of been a show off even if they didn’t run I don’t think they would of shot I kinda believe ole dude did that on his own remember Ferris said he young and dumb
It is speculation that Doughboy was murdered by Ferris's people although it makes sense. Doughboy could have got killed for many reasons. Movie doesn't really explain. Assuming Ferris people murdered Doughboy, they probably knew or reasonably guessed Tre wasn't involved. It is also possible Doughboy or his people could have gottened roughed up to get more information and they probably cleared Tre. To their knowledge they probably knew Tre wasn't in that life and didn't pursue them. These wouldn't necessarily be the same group of people who were involved with Ferris beef with Tre and Ricky. Their beef would have been with whomever shot Ferris and his peeps.
People say Brenda loved Ricky more than Dough because of Ricky's father, but I kinda disagree. Even in two parent households with multiple children, The one whose going to college with a bright future is always going to be loved more over the siblings who are in the streets.
OKAY YALL!!!..........what happened to my responses, does anybody here me?????? Yeah.... I'm an every day citizen and I here about things like this going on through talks, or interactions from teen-agers in school, and incidents in the neighbor hood.
They didn’t go after trey because they knew he wasn’t really with the shett, plus furious had a reputation for being not for none , and as violent as it was back then, the youth still had a bit of reverence and fear for their elders.
I think Singletary killed off Doughboy because he wanted Tre to have a lone survivor type story arch. I also think his father rubbed off on him a ton. His pops was somewhat a ladies man like Tre and most importantly we don’t know his backstory. He could’ve also had all his friends die or go to prison that’s why he kept trying to keep Tre from that lifestyle. Yes any good parent will keep their child out the street but Furious knew the streets like he use to run em too.
In the film during the fishing scene when trey was ten he told trey why he went to military to get away from his toxic friends who got locked up or died in the streets he did not like the military either and told trey not to join
You say you are from Chicago its several stories out of Chicago about wonem losing multiple Children like FBG Duck mom and it was one mom in Chicago that lost 5 sons, i grew up in Detroit and for the most part people let me slide because i was really into school but soon as i got in a tiny bit of trouble my mom moved me back to Colorado where i was born. So i always wonder how people can stay in the hood after losing a child when they got others. Im sure that Doe had bodys the way he walked up on them amd like Heit was saying outside of killing he was probably a regular person like look at King Von in interviews always laughing and happy
Well ...........Two Weeks Later- In the incidents of Ricky's death, he was just a conspiracy for an easy target. If Doughboy was anyone of a comparison for "Menace Society" he's got tendencies of A-Wax where he's relaxed and steady. Frankly Doughboy is the fighter of the gang click. In Menace To Society to speak for O-Dog, ....... the intro expression of Don't Give A Fuck'.....just covers that the boy has a wild reckless edge for slinging the Glock. No means to rub it in too hard, but to get to a humanizing idea of the characters, this is a use of a fact.
I don't think this doughboy first time killing remember he wanted that smoke with ferris and his crew before ricky got killed im sure doughboy knew about ferris status in the hood if you never killed before and not living that life... you not gonna be so quick to beef with guys like that.
There was "no girl witness" that was Menace To Society the Hamburger waitress they caught Ferris and his boys sitting eating at a table and Doughboy definitely was a shooter he pulled it no hesitation at the car show and didn't flinch in shooting them when he finally caught them Monster also no hesitation..
Yeah I believe this was his first hit. Yes he wasn’t one of them shook ones behind the trigger, he had previous w/ the law and he stayed equipped but that doesn’t mean he had killed someone before. Him and his crew don’t necessarily have any rival encounters throughout the movie. Of course they had some tension w/ ferris crew but that does not occur until later on. If anything, they seem more so as dope-dealers to me rather than gang-bangers. However I don’t think it was his first time pulling a trigger, he definitely was in some bouts and used it as defence but I don’t think he caught a body before. Doughboy was bout it no doubt but he had some sense as well. The example when ferris tries to scare him shooting the gun in the air, doughboy immediately drives away instead of bussing back and he was equipped that scene as well. Definitely his first kill, he never strike me as trigger happy person looking to get into action. Only reason there was no hesitation x not really any remorse is because of his brother dying and coming to realisation that his retaliation won’t bring him back.
bruh that's what I'm saying I think dough was involved with shit like this before because remember he wanted that smoke with ferris before ricky got killed
No it wasn't D-Boy's first point. This is South Central. My guess? 2nd or 3rd notch under his belt. 1st was probably the ****as that put Chris in the wheelchair...
Ricky had high potential to make it to the NFL. The recruiter that came to see him was from a top football school wasn't he ? Doughboy got it from someone other from that other dudes gang, I think it was doughboys first time killing someone...cuz we don't see him getting attacked or retaliating towards someone until his brother got killed, now dude in the wheelchair brings up questions...did he or others, even doughboy, get dude who put him in a wheelchair...🤔

@@a84c1 true but it wasn't like the mourning for Ricky. Plus she had Her grandson from Ricky. She most likely put all that love into him and moved on from Douhgboys death easier.
I’m a dad I’m 26, my son will be 3 October 1 and I kinda view myself as furious type of dad.

Nah you probably feed em a tablet and let him walk all over you like 99% of parents
Ferris didn’t kill Ricky, his homeboy did
@@edouble30083but ferris ordered that to happen
first off. i missed yall man!
❤️❤️❤️
That's so true about trey, I never realized that after all these years, I never thought of that!! I'm from Chicago and that's how they been getting down‼💯
They knew Tre wasn’t like that, getting Dough Boy was the way it usually goes. Un alive the head of the snake.
That’s not how that works in the real world niggas mommas get shot because of they sons decisions take foolio for example that shot his momma 8 times and yungeen ace momma house was shot up and she was hit
They knew trey didn't want no smoke. It showed when he left the bbq. Ricky got killed for playing tough the night ferris bumped him
I think the in living color comedy skit show character Bonita Betrayal is who inspired the image of Ricky and Dough boys Moms .😆then Friday after Ricky’s funeral Dough boy(Craig)got a job but was soon fired for stealing Boxes then the first Sunday he joined the Church and started the Big 3 so he cut off his Jehri curl and lived happily ever after.two weeks later 😮
I really didn’t like the way John Singleton did endings back then. Let Dough Boy go to jail and come back reformed later in life, and went to college. Higher learning could have been a sequel.
As a 80s baby with no brother. Ricky and Dough Boy would have been my brothers. I don’t think I’m getting out the car y’all.
Dough Boy definitely was killed by the rival crew. He had no hesitation in pulling his strap earlier in the film, so he definitely used it before. Those definitely weren't his first bodies.
"Those definitely weren't his first bodies."
@@AxiomAmnesia those other times may have not been revenge related. Most drug dealers got a body or two, it just comes with the line of work due to expansion, snitching or being double crossed. Or maybe he was just "putting in work" for his gang, like most "soldiers".
@@AxiomAmnesiaI hear u but with it being his brother it was a different dynamic
Na that was his first body, go to the scene where he killed ferris there was a certain look on his face after the final shot from his pistol. That's not the look someone will have after taking a life.
Two Weeks Later.
I am thinking about revisiting your other video about Brenda and how she never hated Doughboy. She wouldn't be so concerned about keeping him out of trouble early in the film if she didn't care.
I think she cared for sure. However, Brenda could have been more concerned about how Doughboy's actions reflected on her as opposed to his well being.
He looks older in boyz n the hood and younger in friday 😂
I cannot keep up with this content, super privileged 🎥 🎞️
Two weeks later. I believe Brenda saw doughboy's fate because of his lifestyle. Yes she was hurt. It always when u see ur children chose the wrong path. U pray eventually they might choose the right one. Unfortunately Darren never got the chance to go the right way. Ricky lived a different kind of life n her having to bury him was not expected.
The way he reacted after shooting Ferris. It’s possible it was his first body
Doughboy popped the other dude first so Ferris was technically Doughboys 2nd
Trae wasnt a gangster...Even thought they never say it Doughboy and his group were crips, The other guys were bloods...They had run ins before that point and Doughboy was also slinging dope. The end was perfect to me because it just highlighted the reality of what happens even though we don't see it on the nightly news or TV. The death cycle continues
What made me got into boyz in the hood is the lady’s tone loc was gonna play doughboy if cube would of said no again
I even heard theories of doughboy getting killed by the cops
People say Brenda loved Ricky more than Dough because of Ricky's father, but I kinda disagree. Even in two parent households with multiple children, The one whose going to college with a bright future is always going to be loved more over the siblings who are in the streets.
Would love to see yall break down the HBO series “the corner”
❤️
OKAY YALL!!!..........what happened to my responses, does anybody here me?????? Yeah.... I'm an every day citizen and I here about things like this going on through talks, or interactions from teen-agers in school, and incidents in the neighbor hood.
They didn’t go after trey because they knew he wasn’t really with the shett, plus furious had a reputation for being not for none , and as violent as it was back then, the youth still had a bit of reverence and fear for their elders.
You mean to say "After school" special. From "Straight Outta Compton".
🤣🤣🤣 yeah
Didn't you hear Ricky say Doughboy was doing Caine his future was pretty much done. Ricky said he didn't want to end up doing Caine like my brother
Two Days Later🔴⚪️
...Don't follow me man go your own way‐Ferris
Doing some Chicago movies
Ask me Brenda blamed doughboy and doughboy ended up running extra wild, and thats how the crenshaw mafia killed him.
In the film during the fishing scene when trey was ten he told trey why he went to military to get away from his toxic friends who got locked up or died in the streets he did not like the military either and told trey not to join
doughboy was always in and out of prison... he probably would have gotten killed way before that
You say you are from Chicago its several stories out of Chicago about wonem losing multiple Children like FBG Duck mom and it was one mom in Chicago that lost 5 sons, i grew up in Detroit and for the most part people let me slide because i was really into school but soon as i got in a tiny bit of trouble my mom moved me back to Colorado where i was born.
I don't think this doughboy first time killing
remember he wanted that smoke with ferris and his crew before ricky got killed
im sure doughboy knew about ferris status in the hood
if you never killed before and not living that life... you not gonna be so quick to beef with guys like that.
That's all your thoughts?
If Dre would have stayed...Dough would have protected him coz Dough knows that Tre has a shot
Dough let him out the car cuz knew Tre still had his soul
Two Weeks Later❤️
"Turn your punk ahh over!"
She didn't seem like she card about Doughboy very much.
Regret. Probably consumed her. Then she got a bunch of cats and continued to be disrespectful to the cats👀 because she has unresolved trauma
During those times, he was going to die. Gang violence
I was thinking about the guy in the wheelchair. That's really the only element in the movie that could imply a precious incident.
Yall both right but I think it's his first kill only cuz he just got out n unless he killed while he was locked up most he probably did was graze a 🥷 cuz 🥷 🥷 's was telling then 2 😅😅😅😂😂😂
Trey still went to slide ,he jumped out before it went down , in real life you usually dnt get away with that
Ferris and his guys are dead. Doughboy was a pistol carrying convict with a dope 64 Chevy. They could've got him like they did Harold in Menace.
The Doughboy dieing two weeks later stuff i just thought was ridiculous, Boyz in the Hood is a great movie but damn it is so down trodden, Doughboy gets his revenge for his brothers death but thrn he gets killed as well two weeks later, come on man, unnecessary. Yes I do believe it was Doughboys first time killing someone by the way Doughboy looked afterwards and what he said to TRey at the end.
Dough boy makaveli
It definitely was doughboy first time he doesn't give off just no nonsense killer
That's what I think!
Jody(baby boy) maybe wasn't bad or evil...but he not innocent
