The 747 is such a majestic aircraft that was ahead of its time when launched in 1969. Makes us sad that more and more 747 and 4 engine aircraft are retired in airline fleets.

My favorite plane. Fell in love when I had the chance to visit the cockpit as a boy flying on United Airlines from San Francisco to Taipei then on to Hong Kong.
Very sad moment
Saddest part is the knowledge that there is nothing in the works to fill the space these beautiful giants will be leaving empty.

The legacy of the Boeing 747 lasted much longer than that of its competitor the A380 which only lasted about a decade because of the COVID-19. The 747 will continue to reign above the skies of the earth for many more years to come.

Luckily last year in December I fly on my favorite 747 aircraft, till now it has retired. But WHY?? No other aircraft do well like this queen of the skies I’ve been on from the early 90s and I’m loving me my jumbo jet. These aviation s peoples, put back the damn 747 back in service.
FR there was NOTHIN wrong with it. People loved and and it had incredible range even compared to today's standards, very spacious, and it only need 2 cabin crew. Many smaller aircraft also cost more than it. Airlines are stupid. They the to let the queen fly.
What will it be when it will be time for the A380...

Former crown princess (Boeing 747-800) replace the position of the queen Boeing 747-400, and now Boeing 747-800 is the new queen consort. New king is Airbus A380
The iconic Boeing 747 ain't going anywhere out of service anytime soon, since it's legacy began in 1969, and now with COVID-19 grounding its competition the A380 thank God, the 747 cargo variant and 777 continue to dominate the beautiful skies of the Heavens and the Earth as do the Angels from the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth! 🌠☄️🪐🌍🌕

My heart! I think everybody should have the opportunity to fly aboard the 747 at least once in their life.
