Prozac saved me. I had recurrent panic attacks for more than 10 years and they stopped. I'm learning to have no fear anymore and started to live again. Apparently it worked incredible to help him sleep better and to not feel as anxious at work. He told me it had no side effects and he was able to get off it within a week with no issues

I’ve started on Prozac today 20mg, took my first tablet this afternoon and felt nauseous and tired soon after, I couldn’t keep my eyes open, I slept for around 3 hours, had a very clear vivid dream, I need more sleep but I’m wide awake and have been all night, it’s the early hours of the morning now 😵‍💫 I feel more positive already and hopefully the insomnia will improve over the next few days.

I got my Prozac prescription yesterday from my PCP provider the generic brand Fluoxetine HCL 10MG.
I just took my first pill today Wednesday August 24th, at 1:25 am since I work from 12am to 8 am.
I am going to take it everyday at this time. I already set my alarm on my iphone. I took it without food.
I'm crossing my fingers and I am feeling anxious already and feeling scare about how I am going to feel soon. I hope I don't get a panic attack.
I'm feeling weird right now but maybe is because I'm feeling very anxious about what feelings and symptoms I am going to experience soon.
Prey for me yall. LOL. I'm trying to stay positive!!!

Never underestimate the sheer difficulty of ending this drug, and the need to reduce not in a linear fashion but with a hyperbolic reduction. Many people who take the linear reduction approach end up back on it while a reduction progressively reducing into tinier and tinier doses, not easy to do, over months, is the only way that succeeds. I have been on it for two years and I'll let you know how difficult it proves to be! I hate the stuff.

Hello @wellnowdoctor Please tell us a little about Prozac's Pharmacodynamics, specifically the NET transporter or norepinephrine transporter and more specifically if it is true that a higher therapeutic dose makes prozac work more on the NET norepinephrine transporter?. " Fluoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) and does not appreciably inhibit norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake at therapeutic doses, Large doses in rats have been shown to induce a significant increase in synaptic norepinephrine and dopamine " is this true? please enlighten us

Is Prozac better for specifically OCD than Paxil? My doctor put me on Paxil but I have not taken it yet. I have Binge Eating Disorder and Paxil’s main side effect is weight gain, so I don’t know what made him decide for me to take Paxil. And I know Paxil doesn’t work for OCD until you reach higher doses. Studies have shown long-term Paxil use is highly correlated to weight gain.
