- In this video, I am playing with paint as a way to express feeling, without any intention to make finished paintings. This is one of the ways I spark ideas for myself.

Finding your channel is the most beautiful thing that happened to me recently ! I have been binge watching all your videos, thank you for doing this Louis ❤❤
"And I don't care what the others say... " This is a liberating concept. THANK YOU.
And so important for creativity.
I love how you teach to be spontaneous and authentic in the creative process. That's just what I need to hear (every day 😅). You are an injection of confidence! Thank you very much Louise 🧡
I'm so glad!
Are using acrylic paint? I love the blue and turquoise.
Thank you for this wonderful video!
Watching you paint so quickly & so brilliantly nudges me to go faster with reckless abandon! I'm so excited to get started after 1 year of travel & very little painting . Did your FYJ last year and still do the exercises you taught ..... your voice is still inside my head ! Thank you for sharing so generously your wealth of knowledge & experience .
Have fun!
I really appreciate the fact that you're keeping it real and showing your work space as it is . . splattered and colorful . . . and that you didn't clean it up and make it pretty for filming. Making art is messy. Keeping it real. Thank you.
I am smitten with your style in these
Thank you x
Love your works and videos. Thank you for your dedication, expression and interest in helping others.
Love them!!
Brilliant! I love these.
So glad I found your channel!
Aww glad you are enjoying it!
Brilliant! One of your best videos... for me. Thank you Louise.
Thank you Louise for giving me the freedom to just trust what I can do....your phrases stay in my head and give me a new push onwards!!
I really love your gestures and marks on these works! Can't wait to start FYJ ! Thank you, Louise.
Have fun!

This is exactly what I need! I'm excited to begin the course!

Great inspiration to just let loose! Thank you so much. (I love the jazz piano, as well.) 😊
Wow! How absolutely refreshing!
It was!
Very much enjoyed the spontaneity and free flow Louise.
Thank you for sharing 🧡
You’re welcome 😊
Great demo…excited
Looks like fun to do!
Hi Louise. I love yr mindset. I’m an untrained artist and am looking forward to this free course
Love. Watching you demonstrate what we are about to do in the upcoming,in class.
Have fun!
Holy frig! Fascinating to see you express yourself in this new, extra joyful way. Your colours, smaller brushes and value ratio floats my absolute boat!
I'm so pleased!
Love it ! Especially the mark making.
Thanks so much!
I love scribbling! It looks so expressive. You are a true artist !
Thank you so much 😀
I'm excited!
What a wonderful inspiration you are Louise - and a fantastic teacher. Can't wait for the free course - I'm hoping it may move me away from thinking that everything I paint is complete rubbish!! Thank you for your generosity. Cheers.
It will if you let it - I promise :)
Letting a little daylight in on the magic freedom in intuitive mark-making - so much achieved in so little time - this is a great lesson, super inspiring & so accessible - thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
it is sheer joy to watch your artistic freedom. If I learn one whit of that, I'll be forever indebted. Can't wait.
You will!
Great energy,Louise!
Thank you!!
Louise, thanks for sharing Alitalia of your process. I love the colors that you use. I've signed up for your class- giving it a whirl as a newbee.
That's great Mary - see you there :)
You make it look so easy. Looking forward to getting back to painting, cheers Liz
You can do it!
Wow, I love the way you work Louise! When I think of the years I've spent painstakingly working with fineliners and watercolour trying to get it absolutely perfect and accurate yet never really feeling like I was creating, just copying. It was a revelation watching you paint and I'm so excited to give it a go and have some fun. I feel like Tigger now 😃
Thank you so much! I am thrilled to hear that
Wonderful advice Louise….thank you😊
You are so welcome!
Hi Louise - I’ve been looking forward to this class with so much excitement since I’ve signed up. I haven’t really practiced any type of art for nearly 9 years and this feels like the perfect re-entry for me. Thank you for the offering!
Wonderful! Let's have some fun!
Thankyou, Thankyou so much. I am genuinely seeking freedom from myself and others in my art. I am grateful for what you teach. It's making a difference for so many of us. I am seeking to find my artistic voice.
Wonderful!
I absolutely love these. You've reminded me of something I learned from one of my mentors. When painting abstracts, bounce back and forth between wash/brush layers and touch/mark making layers. I've been sculpting and haven't painted in 10 years. I'm excited to make 2 3'x4' paintings for my newly remodeled kitchen/dining area. Thanks for sharing 🙏
So glad you enjoyed it!
Can't wait to start painting with you Louise. Your messages are starting to take hold and I really feel ready to let loose!
Oh exciting!!
Been following you for several years. Love the honesty of you and your work. Many thanks, Louise.
Aww this means so much to me. Thank you!
I am so blessed I found you.
Thank you for sharing your demo. Love the freedom and non judgement in the way you work. Helps me to get over myself. =)
I'm so glad!
One of my favorite things to do. Thanks for sharing.
You bet! Happy Painting! 🖌
Love the freedom. Reminds me of Natalie Dadamio. Totally different style, but similar energy. Liberation that I hope to glimpse during your course. Looking forward to starting on Friday!
I don't know who that is but will check her out. I am looking forward to it too - see you then!
I came across you today… I’m so happy I did - your way of teaching makes sense to me. Thanks for sharing your talent and in turn helping me hopefully express mine. I’ll be making my way through your content 💜
glad to help!
Lovely all of them
Glad you enjoyed it!
I really appreciate what you said about not needing to know why (at least right now) you like the painting the way it is. You just know you like it.
Sometimes that has to be enough x
I absolutely love to watch you paint so freely...and I love the results! I think that's what the gelli plate and my little collaged cubes have done for me...my scribbled graffiti cubes are my favorite for now. Your courses gave me the desire to just go for it. I have never been able to labor over getting it right and felt like " right" was not in me. Freedom is...I think this is the one area of my life where I just play and enjoy the magic that happens. If there's anyone out there who has not yet signed up for your free course, they don't know what they're missing. Forever in your debt...Nancy
I am so happy to hear that :)
Freedom is the best part of our art. Cut loose with gestural marks of soul energy! Thanks for sharing.
So true!
Wonderful video so inspiring to see original work.
Thank you so much!
Thank you, Louise. I loved it!
So glad!
Louise, I'm so looking forward to a "refresher" of the FYJ Taster. I completed both FYJ and Find Your Voice (FYV) last year and I'm in the process of repeating the entire FYV. Having this ability to go back and redo for a full year has been wonderful. The content was invaluable and your teaching style is just wonderful and works well for me. My artwork & enjoyment just continue to grow! I also found/find that the input from my peers in these classes helpful. Your Coaches play an important role and help make the entire FYJ experience a positive one. Thank you for all you do!
I'm so pleased!
I agree with everything you said and I'm doing the same-repeating the Taster after doing FYJ & FYV last year. Looking forward to it!
Yummy, love it! The freedom is a gift to ourselves.
So true!
I love watching and listening to you, Louise....I'm signed up again and so ready to begin. See you soon!!!
Yay, thank you!
Louise thank you for sharing your way! Love your sentient of gestures and marks of self coming out of you. Kind of a capture of the inner rapture w/ blind abandon into the joyous light of an embodiment of freedom. Woo hoo - tally ho onward and into the play zone. Thank you for a message that speaks of not being saturated in a self imposed prison of attachment to desired outcomes. That doesn't hold the key......the process, the process....of being in life with yourself.
You are so welcome jen!
I'm soooo excited for start of your course tomorrow!!
Hope you enjoy it!
SO so fabulously TRUE!
Your demo is so inspiring. And it makes me so excited for the Find YourJoy taster.
I am so pleased - can't wait to start
WOW ! Thank you, Louise, Thank you! I no longer call it my studio anymore. I call it my playroom, and I'm going in there to PLAY RIGHT NOW!
Wonderful!
This speaks directly to me at last I am getting it
I can't wait!! I've got to learn how to paint all over again, physical rubbish, not having done anything for 4 months which feels more like 4 years I've frozen blank paper fear, it's my second time doing FYJ it couldn't have come along at a better time 😀
I can't wait to see what happens!
Been watching a lot of your videos and you have really helped me in my art move forward….keep up the awesome work and videos 👍
Great to hear!
Love it Louise. I get stuck in being tight. Thank you 👍
You’re welcome 😊
you are a Gift!
Thank you!!!
Aww thank you for your kind words.
Just so you know, I had a tight tight abstract I was unhappy about so I taped off sections of it and made marks across the tape lines while listening to this video. When I peeled off the tape I was so much happier with the result! Brilliant. Thank you!
Wonderful!
These are great Louise. I would buy them. They are so gestural. I hope people get it. Cheers.
Thanks! Some people will get it - the right ones :)
What Fun!!!!
I love the freedom and the joy you express!
I also love the way the painting looks when you remove the tape! Do you ever tape your canvases?
Much love,💗stacey
No, I work on wood panels and I frame them to get that effect
Thank you for your inspiring video!
You are so welcome!
Thanks Louise. Pinched the blue painters tape on the borders idea. When it's taken off they look like Giclee prints. Thanks for all your content and knowledge. Slowly going through all your videos.
I'm excited to fo this as going to art college is squashing it all out of me!!!
We will get you freed up again!
I love it ❤️
Thank you so much!
You are my inspiration ❤ keep going!
Thank you! Will do!
Oh my giddy Aunt! I can't tell you how much I love this video - and the end results. If I saw one of those pieces at a market or something, I would be sorely tempted to purchase one. I'm so hoping to do your course if you do it later this year.
Thank you so much!
So looking forward to loosening up in Find your Joy!
I can't wait to see what happens for you
I love these, reminds me of scribbling on the wall when I was a child and got in so much trouble, got my crayons taken away, I hid some for later cause this is something I just must do no matter what
these are great after all
Aww thank you1
OMG after so much frustration of trying to make something work you make me understand what i'm doing wrong, this is the second video of yours i watched and now i can at least go back to it with hope of turning a corner. Thank You!!!!
So glad I could help Jane!
Thank you Louise! I need to be looser in my paintings. Your videos are helping me see the possibilities available.
Wonderful!
"Just do it" right? Think freedom!
Those are fun.
Glad you liked them. Happy Painting! 🖌
I love the idea to paint with freedom and not analyze too much. Thank you
There is time to analyse once you've stopped painting :)
Thanks Louise! Joy and freedom. I hope I can get to your mindset of not worrying about what others think, and not caring about selling a art…because I DO want to sell my art!
I hope so too!
Yoohoo! Love it. See you in the taster 😁
Yes!
My messy clothes are ready and a space has been cleared in the garage! Looking forward to the course 😀
Wonderful!
Can’t wait x
I needed this
So glad I could provide it. ☺
Fantastic. Thank you so much 💓 I have got some acrylic but it's bad 👎 it's dose not cover. After your videos I feel full of positive ☺
Glad I could help
Thank you Louise ❣️
You’re welcome 😊
Can’t wait to start! I want to free myself! 😂
Thanks for sharing 👍🏼💛😊
You are so welcome
Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure!
Very interested in your method!! Meg (Australia)
Awesome! Thank you!
love how all those scribbles, define an emotion...
Thanks for that - not everyone sees that but I love when someone does!
Looking forward to the free workshop! Did it last year and learned a lot! I loved this video! I love the marks the long bristle brush is making! What is it called and what size is it?
No idea - sorry!
You are such a good teacher ! I have taken 2 previous Free courses from you and always leave inspired. Question : How did you go from painting for yourself to selling your art? Do galleries know when they see someone’s art that its likely to sell?
That is a way bigger question than I can answer here but there are lots of answers in my art community www.louisefletcherart.com/art-tribe
Thank you 🥰
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you for the exciting demos making marks. Are you using a very thin rigger or what is the brush and the paint or ink?
It's a thin brush - no idea what it's called! - and acrylic paint
Great! Knowing when to stop is a huge breakthrough for us. FYJ Taster 22 participant.
QUESTION:
Louise, really enjoying your "fyj class! What kind of paper are you using here?
Love your Work Louise...Mine all in storage after violent evictions last year😢
oh no! I hope you can get them out again soon. ❤
that was FUN!!!! thx L
for me too!
