Kristen, you should not apologize so much. You do a great job. You do very fair prices. If you have to go get something because you are not in your usual acrylic, that's ok. Don't be so hard on yourself.
I agree. A blanket apology in the beginning should take care of it. Something like this, for example "Sorry for being late tonight, but I was out getting this great jewelry box, full of really cute (fun/beautiful/cool/wonderful... pick whatever word works for you) pieces and I'm so excited to show this to you! Because I'm offering something a little different tonight, I'm going to do this right here instead of my office, so I don't have my usual set up and I apologize for any technical difficulties I might have and anything I might have to retrieve. But, I know how much you enjoy this, and what a great group of loyal followers you are, so I am sure we'll all be fine. Let's get started!" And from there no more apologies should be needed. If something goes wrong just make it a fun, quick joke and then keep going, "Oops, technical difficulty #1!" And then when you notice your nails, don't apologize. Instead say something like "Ha! Ha! Check out those horrendous nails (I know you already have anyway!), I'm clearly overdue for manicure!" I hope that helps! Save those apologies for the really serious stuff in life. Just be light-hearted and fun. We get it! We really do! All the best!
My husband and I have a friend who owns storage lockers. If the unit isn’t paid he tries to contact the owner several ways. In the case of a death he contacts next of kin. If he can’t get a hold of anyone and t becomes his property. Because he doesn’t want to fool around with auctions he gives my husband and I the contents of the locker in exchange for cleaning and getting the unit ready for the next person. The first time we came across one with a lot of jewelry I felt sad that no one wanted it (the owner had passed away and her son didn’t want anything in the locker). There were some 14k necklaces and earrings and two diamond rings - one with 3 good sized stones. But now every time I wear them I remember that they were special to her. It makes me smile that they ended up with me to appreciate them!
This lot was so neat, I love this type of thing. Grandma was little but she was stylish, LOL. Love a lot of these pieces but especially the charm bracelet, it is awesome!
My mom has a set of necklace and earrings my dad bought her that are floating amethysts in liquid. Always thought they were super cool. Love the Aurora necklace!

Drat! I just saw this show tonight and quickly came here to put my dibs in for the opalite aurora borealis only to realize it is probably long gone since this show was 8 months ago! And, in answer to your question about the time stamp on one's TV, all you have to do is pause the video, and it will show you the time stamp. For example, the item I wanted so badly is at 58.22.
That’s so cute… I could hear Dallas following you when you went to get Pressy lol Still watching, sometimes I have to watch in segments lol distractions distractions to my fun! I have 4 of those vintage jewelry boxes in good condition and I just can't part with them!!!!! I'm addicted to vintage! TFS
Hi Kristen! The screwback earrings [59:44] are "floating opals" I have a pendant necklace like that; and I just got a Victorian gold filled necklace from Suzy at D2D, with the floating opal. Loving them! Great vintage jewelry box too, I just found one on Ebay that's coming soon. Great video! 💞
Yes that looks like Jade, in older rings they set real jade in cheapo settings - reminds me of a Fingerhut ring. Yep a dark blue sapphire which are less expensive. When there is a tiny tiny chip it is usually a real diamond, not worth anything really except to say its a real diamond. The 2nd to the last ring looks like enamel. Oh my the little bugs on pins, from 50's 60's you just pined to your collar, I had a ladybug. The pins and stick pins were very popular in the 70's. Actually the safety pin type were used as skirt pins. If you had a skirt with pleating you attached that through the pleats near the hem, we did that in the 60's. Those pearl necklace and the red bead necklace are pure 70's. The lariate one was also worn as a belt, actually more so than as a necklace at the time. The floating opals were popular 50's through 70's. Yes its a belt, no you do not hook in the lady's ear, you simply adjust around your waist loosely and clip directly to the chain, leaving the rest of the chain with the face to dangle. I recognize that blue teardrop, that is an Avon piece, available in the birthstones, I believe that was from 70's. I bet a lot of the initial pins and such were presents, just the kind of thing you give grandma for Christmas. I had a cloissone butterfly like that too, very 80's. That was quite the grandma's treasure chest!
Cute idea today, the rings remind me of all the little bubble gum rings my boys bought me years ago, that I still keep in a little box. They'll find someday and share the memories. 🤭
Hello - What type of magnifying glass are you using? I have a jeweler's loupe but it's difficult for me to use. Yours looks so much easier esp for showing the size during your shows. Thank you!
It’s just an inexpensive one from Amazon with a light. I think it was like $9 and it works great, I’ve had it almost 3 years and haven’t even had to change the battery for the light yet
Kristen I have the exact same brooch like the mother of pearl brooch and earrings! I try to add to your sold list, all I did was reply to it! Sorry, I'm so bad at this!
I think at one time in an antique shop I saw somebody selling a charm bracelet maybe for 40 bucks or 30 bucks it's been awhile since I've been to an antique shop the last time I have seen the
