- When Custom tuning of the mountain bike suspension comes to the attention many of mountain bikers may see it as a black magic. Here in this video I documented the whole process. So you can have a peak view what is going on behind the scene. This type of tuning is not One-on-One with alliance with individual biker and his/her bike. But in particular situation BOS has developed sequence of tune kits, which I am using as a start point. You will find out more in vid.
Great video! Keep them coming! :)
Hey! I'm very impressed how much knowledge You have and how easly You can share it! Very good video. Also can I ask You for help? I paid for general service of my BOS Void (air), and asked to change shimstack for very very very slow set up (rebound). I'm running my BOS on 300 psi (which is a lot of course) and rebound just can't keep up and shock is too fast. long story short after service (with new shims) nothing really changed. Do You have any ideas for new shimstack or something, that could slow down my shock? I want it to be as slow as possible, like extremely slow (I'm a freerider, need really stiff and slow suspension). You could save my life honestly, season is going on and I can't ride my biggest jumps safely. Cheers!
Hi, thanks for msg, What I would recommend is to apply thicker oil then what BOS factory spec, this will make the piston with shims flows more slowly and results in slower rebound and stiffer shock feel. There is more actions could be done, I home this one can help
Hi excellent video very impressive. Can I ask please what tool do you use to undo the sealhead from the damper body thanks.
@MrEstefano Thanks for de video ! I know it's old, but perhaps you could help me. I would like to know if there's an alternative oil that I can use instead the AMX1. Like Fox R3 5wt, for example. I'm in Brazil and we don't have access to the original oil. Thanks !
Hello
What tool do you use to open the 4m09 part of the video?
Hello, thanks for the vidéo, it's possible to indicate the pression and the distance to position IFP ? Please.
Hello, i have the same shock, the BOS kirk, but i dont know how much pressure the piggyback or the body shall have, i bought it used and it has no pressure there whatsoever, but dont know how much it can withstand, any info about that? The maximums pressures for the main body and the piggyback
What is the maximum air pressure for it. I am 220lbs and my sag always in 45% Im already in 250psi. Can i go further?
Could you tell us how to make refueling tools in detail ? Or where can I buy it
?Thank you very much.
I try to make short vid, how to. In the meantime you can build one from industrial water filter
Hi! could you tell me where to buy an adapter for the vaccum pump? What height do you set the ifp valve to? Great vid!
Hi, give a shout to these guys regarding adapters www.andreanigroup.com/?lng=en
@@MrEstefano Thx!
Hey man , can you tell me how deep you have to push the info and the pressure?
Hey.
Maybe you could share the doc of the different shim tunes?
I hope this one works shorturl.at/qBJT8
What is the ifp depth and pressure?
Is this shock above an Super deluxe RCT performance, sensitivity and support?
Hi, sorry this is BOS Suspension shock, but the concept of the most suspension air shocks is pretty much the same. Air sprung, with shim stack/ oil damping. Thanks
@@MrEstefano I know that, but there are Things Like friction, tolerances, damping Piston Design and Air spring Design / Relation of Chambers. For example a super Deluxe or dvo topaz have better working airsprings than the float X2.
Besides my old DeVille 34 beats a new Lyrik besides of stiffness of the Chassis.
