Jay what are your thoughts on winterization? Does yours stay outside? Do you fog? Mines outside it does snow once in a blue moon. I typically change oil and spark plugs then fill gas tank with fuel and stabil, re water proof the cover and give the full boat inside and out and 2-3 hour detail and wrap it up. I’ve never fogged engines or done antifreeze though. Wondering if a little water in ballast system would be bad for something to get cold and bust.
@@ttvdecimatedbyme9130 I just winterized my boat today! Ran antifreeze through the motors and fogged both motors as well…. Also removed batteries and put them on tender’s for the winter….. also fuel stabilizer and removed all carpets and as many cushions that I can then I give it a good cleaning and up here in Canada 🇨🇦 I put it in cold storage!! What that is a massive garage with no heat and a gravel floor! We get tons of snow and very cold weather here so the reason for the antifreeze is just incase there is excess water in the muffler…. Plus I put two covers on the boat my dock cover then my travel cover and last is cover the tires lots of bounce sheets all around the inside of the boat and mothballs!!! I just got delivered to my house is Seadeck for my cockpit I will install in the spring! I know I’m not jay but I received your message and just wanted to respond….. it was very sad today winterizing my boat 😞
@@ttvdecimatedbyme9130 pretty much everything Shawn just said. I don't have a second cover and I don't cover my wheels(although not a bad idea), but otherwise pretty much exactly the same.
I have the same issue as mine. Going to the store now to buy a gas cap.
After changing the gas cap, what to do to reset the engine warning light?

I did my smog check right now and that code came up but I had changed the gas cap 2 days before , so I have to delete the code or something ?
Try deleting the code. If it comes back, I would take a look at your evap canister next.
I have code P0456 but no check engine light and smog test failed.
Check your evap canister. It may have a small leak. It's located at the back of the car, under the trunk.
I have this code and my car idles horribly so I’m wondering if this fix still applies when your leak is bad enough it’s idling horribly
The evap canister is another potential cause for this code. That might be something worth checking.

I changed my gas cap it did not help.
The evap canister is what I would check next.
