4:27 where he mentioned the rubber piece. I would advise you all to just order a new one with the pump for the best seal. Great video by the way.

Super helpful in running E and this just happened to me. Got the code for the first time today, I cleared it with my tune waiting to see if it pops back up to see if this is actually the problem. Probably end up replacing as preventative maintenance either way even if it doesn’t show back up

Hi, I had same issue on my 2015 335. Engine light popped up with a code P0456. Did exactly what was described in the video, cleared the fault via simple OBD scanner and it is gone now. However it is a bit weird how extended warranty covers only US, but cars with this exact same part are neglected in Europe. 🤷🏻♂️ Great videos by the way, keep it up!

What was the code?
Good video explaining what the part is but it can be misleading for people just wanting to throw parts at the car. I’m a bmw tech and this code can be a number of things, from faulty evap leak detection pumps, evap purge valves, gas caps and I’ve personally seen cracked fuel tanks on f30 chassis twice this year. You can smoke check your system first and see if there’s no actual leak and just a faulty part.
So there’s no actual leak it’s just the pump that failed?

Possibly but I couldn't tell you on mine because it always smelled like fuel due to the catless downpipe 😅

190f08- tank ventilation system malfunction
Would the sensor replacement get rid of both ?

@@CityHunt3R911 make sure you’re using a BMW specific code reader, generic ones don’t work on BMW unless you get those $1000 ones
@@dylan-nguyen I reset my car by using 2 different apps, and a mechanic also, the light never came back, car fixed.

It went up by a drastic amount sadly. I paid $50. My guess is who ever makes these jacked up the price because it started becoming a common issue

BUT they’ll charge you $250 for labor.
Called BMW NA to complain and they said labor isn’t part of the warranty 😡
