It's unlikely, but maybe, I point out, maybe one day those people will discover a broom. The broom is a wonderful tool but it has not yet caught on in Pakistan.

Sad that there are still places in the world where people have to work in such unsafe conditions!

I like how they fired coffee mugs together with the porcelain switches' backings. That's called versatility!

In Italy we used to have electric switched and plugs made of ceramic before world war 2 I think, and now these kind of plugs are starting to come back in fashion

Don't think they're coming back to fashion, I have never seen one. The oldest ones I've seen were 80 years old, and they were bakelite.
Those porcelain ones are difficult and time-consuming to manufacture and offer no benefits to the modern plastic ones.

I remember one of the old houses these back parts of those switches lasted for decades. Now the plastic and the metal ones don't last even for 10 years.

In the UK we had these up to about the 60s. Ceramic is a great insulator, but too fragile to be practical. glad we got shot on these death traps.

In the garage of my my holiday home I have 4 plastic switches and 4 plastic sockets made in Italy by BTicino in the 1963 (google "btcino magic anni 60"). Still working today pretty fine! Ceramic switches are totally unsafe!
