What a superb layout! Yes, Lavington is a real town & it is situated between Lumby & Vernon in real life. A lumber mill there was served by Kelowna Pacific RR until recently. I think CN has resumed service there, but not 100% sure.
Just my OPINION! This club is doing it right! Most railroads do not have 4-7 mainlines. I know that most do it for the capacity of people they have,in the club. But it just seems to take the realism out of it when the trains are not in the "hole" Waiting on another to pass! Cool layout.
Anna Fausto I'm sorry I do not understand your question. or is it my pace of walking around the layout that you found to be to fast, as you would have liked me to spend more time looking at the scenes . If that is the case hopefully I will be back there soon and hopefully with moving trains and I'll spend more time. lastly Will and I showed up late and they were closing to the public.
Walking around was pretty fast. Maybe instead of trying to get all of the layout in 1 video, you might (next time) walk slower and then put the camera on a tripod and take some time on the structures. I'd really like to see them from maybe 2 different angles. Looks like a good layout ans I;ll be looking for a second trip from you.
BCRRoading Well, as if I wasn't overwhelmed by the hobby enough as it is, 23 years and they are "still under construction." I am just starting out trying to learn how to "make things real." I am doing small dioramas, all of which turn out very "beginner" looking. Roads are killing me, both paved and unpaved. Frustrating and fun at the same time. Videos on youtube, night and day if they get it right or not. Thanks for sharing this.
Next time I go back I'll do a better job, at this time I had only have my 1st camera for a short time and the video was rushed because they where closing down early . I did they best I could with the time and experience I had also the layout is 18hrs away from me and I have no idea when i'll be going back to Edmonton for part 2.
Came back again but the fast panning and the walking around gave me the same problems as when I was young and had car sickness. PLEASE redo this and move slower - much slower. I would love to see this layout because it looks like it is a very good one that I might learn from. Just slow down.............
Beautiful layout. Really like all the great structures. Thanks for sharing!
What an awesome layout. I would love to see some trains in action on this. Thanks for a great tour.
As would I and hopefully if I go back in the new year I will be there for an ops session maybe bring my Royal Hudson out to play.

Mark Turner Agreed this is truly a fantastic realistic railroad

Why must the videographer race through the survey?

Do you know where they get their trees?
Most of there trees where hand made though I'm sure there are a few commercial trees aswell like woodland scenic ect.
