I appreciate the videos man! I’m putting in a mark 82 non mds in my 6.1 I just don’t understand if I need the shims provided the instructions doesn’t say
we usually will do a quick fire to make sure it's ready to tune. but if you have just the MDS delete cam you can fire and check for leaks etc as usually the tune is just to turn off the MDS CEL etc. if you need the tune let us know.
If you simply disable ECO mode using the dashboard button on a low mileage hemi, will that prevent the lifter failure? Or, is the lifter failure simply a case of Russian Roulette and it's gonna bite you eventually, you just don't know when?
Eco mode helps a little but without actually deleting it you will still have the issue. The MDS solenoids partially block the flow to the Non MDS lifters due to their placement and the cam cores are weaker and known to dealaminate and have issues. This along with the MDS lifters being weaker and the oil pump not flowing as well are a recipe for disaster
As usual Matt, great video. Now then, its a long way to Houston for an oil change......😅😅
You got that right!

So if car running rough the next step is to take the heads off right
if you have tested everything else then yes. Compression, leakdown, bore scope, plugs, injectors etc.
Could also be a computer issue sometimes
@@NightAndDayPerformance yeah I changed all the plugs and coils still misfiring it says cylinder 4 and then it says multiple misfire
@@NightAndDayPerformance yea true
I just installed the same exact cam on my RT Durango. Can I start it without a tune just to see if everything‘s fine? Or would it hurt something
