I would love to see more episodes. I got up to something like 260 before, but then the channel closed down and I haven't been able to see any since. I so appreciate it. I used to run home from school every day to watch these.
I am still contemplating adding more episodes.... Until then, you can find the following 210+ episodes on the link I provided under the description. Thank you for watching, sharing and your support ! Also, if you are interested in uploading episodes in a safe, active place go to my Google + page and under the "About" section there is a link titled Pirate Bay Dark Shadows Complete Episodes.
Well, my problem is that Hulu is blocked for Canadians. It's a genuine shame, because they air so many free classic shows. And no, Proxy servers don't workj.. "sigh" I was really lookingt forward to seeing some of the color episodes of DS...
That heartbeat noise reminded me of the hearbeat sounds for the theme music from "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly"....and things are just about to get BAD and UGLY at Collinwood...and that's GOOD!
This is where the Collection 1 DVD starts. Now I have to remember where I left off to start from the beginning... I think it was 280 something. Thanx to the uploaded for catching me up!
In Episode 208, David mentions Abigail Collins as the woman buried with the jewels given to her by a pirate. But in Episode 209, Willie mentions that it is Naomi Collins (the mother of Barnabas) whom, as it turns out, is buried in the mausoleum where Barnabas' coffin is hidden in a secret room. (The lion's head right above Naomi's casket opens the secret door).
When I first watched this, I always thought the thumping was Barnabas trying to free himself from the chains on his coffin. And the sound was the coffin bouncing off of the floor and landing back on the ground. The heartbeating idea is pretty creepy too though.
And him propping his feet up on the table while sitting in the drawing room is classic , cocky, SOB Willie. Barnabas will be taking Willie down a notch or two shortly though.
The caretaker says that Naomi is buried in the mausoleum with her husband and "several" of her children. The only known child buried along with them is Sarah. Of course, Barnabas is in the secret room to the rear of the mausoleum. Joshua and Naomi Collins only had two children, Barnabas and Sarah.
Ann Onymous Quite true, but still, the others were obviously not buried with them. Clearly, given the age difference between Barnabas and Sarah, others had to have been born in between.
Mrs. Johnson is as good as a visitor's center, all she needs is to hand Willy a map, who's not trying too hard to be discreet either, or he thinks he's being oh so sly but she's too dense to catch on anyway
The story line gets fouled up again later on. Naomi did not die in her sleep as an old woman. She took poison after learning that Barnabas was a vampire.
But at the end of the 1795 time line Joshua tells barnabas ( who is now a vampire) that he will write in the family album that Naomi died a natural death and barnabas went to England.
Holly B Indeed, you are correct! Being originally from New England, I should have known how those old families went to any steps to cover up their dirty laundry!
Willie: "Well, the kid, David, got me interested in a lot of his anstestors." How Mrs. J. kept a straight face I don't know. Willie Was so obvious he might have just said to the caretaker: "Now can you show me the tomb where my jewels're buried?" (14:27) Then the caretaker says there's a presence in those walls, a monstrous evil... what Willie actually heard: there's jewels in those walls, a whole lot of them...
Keep in mind that this aired in April 1967. The caretaker stated that Joshua Collins passed the information of the evil force (Barnabas Collins) in the family masoleum. This is reinforced at the beginning of the 1897 storyline two years later when Edith Collins dies from fright shortly after seeing that the family secret, Barnabas was freed from his chained coffin. In the 1840 storyline, the aged Daniel Collins was too mentally unsound to realize that Barnabas was freed from his coffin. He was able to put two and two together shortly after seeing Angelique. Had it not been for her wiping out his memory of the events of the 1795 storyline by reminding him of his deceased wife (and Barnabas being free), he would have been sound enough mentally to pass this story on. This was actually one of the few consistencies though out DS' five-year run.

+⌘ Victσria ฬiηters ⌘ I sadly can't go on there I really wish you could post more.
I always had a crush on John Karlen (Willie Loomis). Very good looking man.
Notice Barnabas's eyes, in the portrait, @0:57! Scary!

Amazing build up for TV's greatest entrance.

This is the famous episode where John Karlen looks directly into the camera
Barnabas should be GRATEFUL to Willie for freeing him
Be afraid Willie. Be very afraid!
There's no action in this whistle stop. Classic Willie.

It's possible that they had children who died at birth, miscarried, or died very young. It was very common back then, unfortunately.

So this has to be the same cemetery where Laura's graves (note the plural!) are. This is the same creepy caretaker.

I never noticed the plants Mrs. Johnson is watering before. They seem pretty fake to me!
They wouldn't grow good there if they were real. They aren't by a window.

Open up this, and at the same time open up a new tab with the barnabas tune & play at the SAME time !1 Works GREAT !!
Hulu has all after es.201 tell the last one in 1971
Naomi Collins (July 16, 1781 - Feb. 7, 1854).
About time for a new narrative. I was getting tired of watching Laura staring into the fireplace all the time.
I miss Laura.
