I've been djing for about 10 years and i started off with VirtualDj but kept hearing all my dj friends talking about Serato and so i tried it and definitely was not impressed. Most of it was for the same set of reasons mentioned in this vid with the slow start up, the limitation on library management and navigation and the overall lack of some features. Tried Djay for 2 years alongside vdj and there is only 1 feature that i like and that's the fluid bpm for live recorded music - but the caveat is that it must 1st get the bpm correct and i've found that there were a number of tracks that were read wrong - a little too many for my comfort and this made this program a bit unreliable for me. Also their is still a lot of improvement to be done on integration with controllers that hv a display in the jogs. I own a ddj 1000 and i don't get the waveforms with cue point and album art with djay, but i do with vdj. But i will agree it's more advanced than serato.
@@bboymac84 ikr.. i mean it took them 2 years for release their stems version with 3.0 and since then there hv been no real significant updates that can place them in them on equal grounds. It's still the only program with no automix and no track suggestions and i know users hv been asking for this since the 2010s.
Oh snap! just added this to my watch later list!
I’ve been using it for a year and I Love it
@@DJ_PRO_JAMZ all they have to do is correct the stem on/off delay. It’s very annoying
Nah ye I perfer djay over serato, they both have their pros and cons but if I had to pick I'd say djay
I really agree with everything you said I'm just worried about the windows version
Thanks, I haven't used it in windows yet. Maybe someone out there with windows can test it out. but it works flawlessly on Mac and iOS.
@bboymac84 right on mac I'm sure it's perfect but I use windows and it acts weird latency Is all jacked. I might have to update it but even still
@@ChiefShaka hmmm I’m sure if you let them know on their forum you should be good.
@@ChiefShakaI’m been having it on windows for a year no problems
When it comes to beat grid Djay pro second to non, period.

@@HouseOfTWIGGA yea it’s taking over Serato
Virtual DJ beat grids suck.
I have Djay on my android. Have not used it on my laptop.
@@manidelgado djay has been pretty stable
I love my VDJ but dynamic beatgrid is a game changer for sure.
