Great tutorial! I take photos of my stored markers! It’s much easier to store after…but your method is a great tip as well!
Great video. I love the Tombow brush pens I have. Grace gave a lot and I mean a lot of information. Loved the storage case options. Didn’t know I could store the either vertical OR horizontal. Thank you Becca for all these informational interviews you do.
So much interesting and helpful info. Answered all my questions I’ve ever had! Thanks Grace! Thanks Becca!
Thank you SO MUCH for this video!!! I never post in comment sections, but I truly appreciate this info! It is so hard to watch tons of videos to get this information. But Grace did an amazing job putting so much information on alcohol vs. water-based markers and how to use them both in ONE spot!
I am a beginner in brush calligraphy. This video was great with lots of useful information.

Very helpful video. Sorry if I missed this point, but does the Tombow blender work with the Fudenosuke pens for blending and ‘pushing’ the colour around? Thanks.
Omg I’m new to theses markets so much into😳
Becca & Grace great video, where can i get the storing accessories that had your pens in?
What a great video!
Thank you ladies for this tutorial . I am a beginner, and as a home schooling “Nana”, was just trying to introduce different types of art . I am already rethinking this lettering idea. I feel like a four year old , and I am 74 ! I need to start at the real beginner level ❣️
I have had over a dozen solo art shows and after a few years on hiatus, I’m finding that I need to re-learn a lot of mediums from the _earliest_ of starting points! I’ve found that when it comes to art, you’re better off if you go back to the beginning anyway :) it helps us to re-learn the fundamentals that we’ve been skipping over for too long, which are there for a reason; and at least for me, it gives me a major boost in my creativity and drive when I am trying to figure out something new. UA-cam is such a great resource for artists! Good luck, Nana!
@@JacyndaMinor Well, I’m glad I happened to see you comment . I won’t give up ! Thank you for a boost ❣️
i love this video
Omg!, I m sooo early.. n the video was really helpful (first comment 🤩)
I just got my Tombow brush pens so this is perfect!
Question: Some of my ABT dual brush pens say " acid free" and others say "water- based". What is the difference? Are all Tombow pens acid-free? Are only the ABT Pro alcohol based? Great video- I'm a newbie but this was great! Thanks for sharing all the tips and tricks for blending. Who knew??!
water based tombows can easily blend and be diluted with water. all tombow ABT brush pens are acid free. but tombow ABT PRO brush pens are alcohol based.
hope this answered your question :)
Can you tell me where to find the cute journal with the leaf on the front?
Hi Becca, how are you? Are you safe and healthy in these days? Thanks for the video. I really want to know how to store my pens! 🥰✒️🙆🏻♂️
It is my understanding that it the best way to store pens varies from type to type. I personally store everything flat so I can keep them in my desk drawers.
I think as a general rule, horizontally is the safest bet bc alcohol based inks will evaporate if stored vertically.
Awesome Information! But is the video quality on Grace's end blurry? or is it just me?
That was great! What is the best sketchbook/paper for the alcohol markers? Thanks for all the tips!
I’d say smooth and high gsm. They actually make marker pads made for use with markers- but I’d say in general you’re safe with strathmore and canson
Very nice video
What is the difference between the MONO drawing pens and the other MONO pen?
Becca is correct with the pronounciation. Its japanese so its : Fu De Noh Su Keh
I was gonna say this too! 😊
Thank you! I was surprised that when asked how to pronounce it, she pronounced it incorrectly, the American way 🙈 just like people say "sa-ki" for sake!
@@taylorcothran3215 is it supposed to be sa keh?
@@JacyndaMinor Yes! The sound of "ke" in Japanese is pronounced "kay" - sake is pronounced "sahkay." Same actually goes for karate and karaoke, the e is pronounced "ay": ka-ra-tay and ka-ra-oh-kay (not "karatee" or "kari-okee") 😊
@@taylorcothran3215 do they typically roll their r’s too? I feel like I’ve heard that before as well. You know what, I think I’m gonna duolingo Japanese this is all very interesting
Hi after long time i watch u... Love ur art
I have so many pens and was afraid to ruin them. Thanks for the storage ideas.
you say use the dual brush markers on smooth paper. would you consider 140 lb cold pressed watercolor paper to be a smooth paper?
Watercolour paper is typically too rough. I have paper recommendations in my supplies guide (www.thehappyevercrafter.com/supplies/).
Where can I purchase your headband?
Wait, I thought the Mono pens could be used under watercolor without smearing, but she said not to even pair then with the DBP at all...? I'm confused!
How long did these markers last, before they dry out?
Many years unless you use them for big projects. Don't dry up quick though. Can use some water to bring them back to life if they do. Great markers. My mom used them when I was growing up for scrapbooking and now I use them for watercoloring and drawing. Highly recommend
Maybe I missed it, but at what time is the section about what pens to start with? There is so much to choose from, it's overwhelming. Any guidance would be appreciated :)
20:30
I believe she said she’d recommend the harder ones to start like fudenosuke
Love to be able to water color with the brush pens.
Helpful... 👍🏻
Hiii
I only came here because they said they were going to show how to preserve you're brushpens.
Nice video tho
Yeah,too early ,4th person to comment,useful!
💓👍👀 3/3/22
Early!
Hello world
What do you do if your brush pen HAS frayed? Throw it out and don't look back? 😔
How to do a D
Suggestion... if you zoomed in closer to your paper, we could actually see what you were doing.. if you would watch it back on a cell phone you would see what I mean..
Plus when she was talking about the hard and the soft tip she didn't tell us what brand or name about 20 minutes
Thank you for the wonderful video!
I just have to note as a Japanese major, that it is not how you pronounce "fudenosuke".
Try typing it into google translate (of course, pick Japanese) and listen. 筆の助
What’s it mean?
@@JacyndaMinor Means "brush assistant"
@@Maievmau whaaaaat! That’s neat! thanks!
I realize that writing this is long after the viewing date. Still, I’d like to suggest that any future guests you have on your videos, especially a company rep, have a high-definition camera for interview and demonstration questions and a higher bandwidth connection. I had to leave this feed after 10 minutes.

I adore it,but for me are very expensive. This product is for rich man
100% Commercial
The pronunciation of Fudenosuke is wrong. Find someone who reads and speaks Japanese truly. It doesn't take too much effort to show respect.
