And hellmire, no doubt estanu kept getting attacked in prt because nobody wants to fight on hellmire anymore lol
Estanu was a bit of overkill, like i saw it with consistently 4 times the amount of helldivers of the next more defended planet, it woeked in the end but it was too close...
I believe the GM took notice of how 80% of the time 90-95% of players online during the day were on the bug front regardless of whether or not there were any defense missions left there, so in the spirit of debunking the idea that the major order was intended to be impossible, (because it wasn't, and they stated that they don't intend for any of them to ever be,) they decided to spam defense missions on the most popular bug planets, and nerf the bot front's strength so that the 5-10% of helldivers online during the day that actually care about it can hold/advance the line, instead of hopelessly losing the progress made by the reinforcements that are only online at night.
@@Alkriaan This is an exaggeration. I think at most 70% of active population was on bug planets. It was typically close to 50/50 but there were twice as many bot planets under attack so divers on the bug front could concentrate more. Still doesn’t take away from Estanu being defended 6 times in like 8 days.
@@patrickrogers9689 I once logged on earlier in the day to change my controls before I forgot again, and saw that there were roughly 15k on the bot front, and no less than 100k on the bug front, (so 14%/86% split, my bad) the latter of which were split 30/70 attacking Hellmire and Oshaune, neither of which were defense missions.
It’s much more even _at night_ after most of the players get back from school/work, but during the day the VAST majority are diehard bug players that don’t care about the major order unless it’s on their preferred front.
The new airburst launcher is the ultimate comedy team kill weapon.

A few small tips for those that are lucky to stress test the airburst launcher:
1. Remember that 2 people can coop with the launcher to increase fire rate significantly and help spread democracy. Make sure that whoever carries the ammo rack stays close to the one carrying the launcher.
2. The blast radius is WIDE, so long range use is advised.
3. The airburst is meant for light/unarmored targets. Use against tanks and hulks is not recommended.
4. The rockets have sensors that can and will set off the rocket if it detects nearby objects, regardless of whether it’s the local environment, the enemy or your fellow helldivers.
5. The rockets can eliminate bug holes and bot fabricators if you’re accurate.
Today we had a airburst rocket fuse on a hellpod hatch being popped off from a reinforce. It was both deadly and hilarious.
They need to adjust the range at which it detonates
I hate to ask a stupid question, but how does it work against it's intended targets? Gunships and flying bugs?
I'm not sure Flying things are his intended targets. It's "Airburst" as in "spread before touching ground" but seeing the spreading of small bombs and as those don't have that airburst trigger. I'd say:
Flying bugs : never tried myself but unless they are packed and you are far enough, wouldn't recommend because you'll touch everything except that
Gunships: didn't manage to make it work as intended and source of friendly fire
Cargo ships : too heavily armored even on engines
To be fair, the only 2 good points i found for now is against patrols/swarming bugs or fabricators/holes but be far.
I'd say in some blitz missions, it could be good
I really think Helldivers looked at the assault on Mort and decided that Automatons will get no closer to the creek.
It was the one planet I was able to assist in defending this week, can definitely say that was where my mind was at. Very glad the planet was defended

god i love these videos. sometimes im not able to properly sit down and play helldivers for days at a time, and I'm always worried I'm going to miss out on some special objective (i missed both the 2 billion termanit and the melevolon creek major orders) but with these amazing recaps, i can always be in on the loop about what i missed
Who the hell started these rumors about Eagle 1? Not only is it false but I have personally seen her with other Helldivers with CO-1 forms in hand lining up for her.

I helped defend on all planets under attack during the Automaton blitz. To say the front was on the brink of collapse is a wild understatement. I truly can’t believe the Helldivers on the Automaton front managed to unite and push back the Automatons in three decisive battles and win us the Major Order. For Super Earth!!!
I would be honest and say it did collapse. We took a massive beating, until we finally stablized the line at Mort, Ustotu and Varylia 5.

@@Mandemon1990 I would say it's less of a collapse, but more of it being pushed back. they did punch through the andromeda sector pretty hard though.
but either way, it was a very bloody defense.
I was there too, I helped take back Vernan wells, Varylia 5, and Ustotsu. It was a mess, but there was a fire inside me when I saw that we only had 2 defenses left to go.
I wasn't at every planet but I was at a few- while on medical leave after a short sting with wounds on my leg from combat on Martale, I got news that for an hour- we held Charbal 7 with 800 people to a stalemate! Fuckin amazing!

The major software update for Helldiver warmaps will definitely help coordinate and maintain the frontlines much better. Very much looking forward to the patch.
I would also like to congratulate our brothers in the west for pulling themselves back together and making a stand before the automatons can take any more sectors.
I'd also like to highlight the contributions of the Eastern forces for successfully defending Estanu 5 times in total, majorly contributing to General Brasch's major order and valiantly protecting our source of E-710. Godspeed, divers. We will win this war, democratically or else.

I was at Leseth. My squad mate and I destroyed several facilities decimated hundreds of bots. We were called back for a rest, but now it seems the ground we fought so hard for, had been taken. While it seems measures are taking place in the planet's liberation, it seems that we will never truly escape that frozen wasteland.
I actively play this game, participating on both fronts...and I love your weekly updates. Like ye olde fireside radio chats from WW2, so I've heard. But funny and not depressing. Keep at it please.

The map does need a massive update. Showing supply lines, decay rates, etc will massively help Helldivers plan and cooridnate attacks. FOR MANAGED DEMOCRACY!

I usually only fight on the bot front lines. But, I even showed up to Estanu.

Interesting stuff. I wonder if there will be a future opportunity to unlock that anti-tank mine it could be pretty useful if more big tank enemies are 'discovered' among the automatons and terminids
5:04, I can't tell you how often that has happened to me. I stopped using the rocket launcher because of that.
I think it would be cool of we had an off duty social space to hang out with other Helldivers

As a Super Citizen (someone who doesn’t have the game) I’m really surprised that the community chose the Rocket Launcher over the tank mines because it seemed like people hate the Striders, Annihilator Tanks, and Hulks more than the gunships/Shriekers

We need that eagle pilot outfit in the game as armor immediately.
I mean, I could think of several reasonable reasons why and how the photo could be real. Someone could have had their legs damaged or blown off (likely a helldiver) but still wanted to fight the good fight and a job like that could support us without getting replacement that could break down in the field endangering their fellow divers. Another potential thing is that they could be willing given mech legs to ensure that the g-forces they face won't cause the blood to go to their legs making them black out thus protecting the pilot.
If and I mean IF any of those were true the counsel of truth would let us know. It's not like they would need to hide anything like that.

Love your videos one thing and i think only 1 thing that you got wrong was about vernen wells being recaptured a day after ostuto and varylya. But it was vernen wells recaptured 9 hours before the defense of varylya 5 ended and with the reinforcements from vernen wells we manage to blitz Varylia 5, and finally, we took ostuto with no much problem after that.
man the airburst is such a **** stratagem. shame everyone just ran for that n im glad most are regretting it.
Say what we will about the fanatics on the bug front, but their borderline mindless tenacity on Estanu was about the only thing that pulled us through that order

I wish the devs would allow us to station Helldivers on planets for planetary defense forces (aka PDF) that'd give any Helldivers on a PDF mission to earn more credits (as of typing this I don't own a PS5 nor Helldivers this is just an idea)
I hope the dev team is keeping track of how much higher the friendly fire deaths are coming after the rocket update.

i was there on ESTANU the fighting was brutal and when i thought it was over i was called back from USTOTU to defend ESTANU again, the bugs are relentless but the defenses hold and we push them back, i am honored to have fought along side brave bug divers. the bot divers have there hero's on creek, now bug divers have there own hero's on ESTANU as well, taking hits after hits after hits ESTANU still stands .............. ESTANU STANDS !
