You forgot the sneaker. The helldiver that goes away from the group and does side objectives. They also try and play the game like metal gear solid.
I have a friend who's like that because they came from fucking TITANFALL, he will go out of his damn way to sneak around and BLOW SHIT UP
I go solo, do all the sidequests amd find what samples I can, and kill everything in my line of sight.

The Honey badger diver: He is the one who is always running into the middle of the fight, his comfort zone is surrounded, and some how comes out of the engagement alive.

I don't know if I would consider myself a Hero Diver as I'll still do some questionable things but I'll admit its really satisfying to help under-leveled divers.
I dropped in on a Level 2 running an Automaton mission, and I called in an Autocannon and a Recoiless Rifle.
I take the Recoiless, and I see him run up to the Autocannon but he stopped to look at me.
Without saying a word to him, I pinged the A.C. and like a kid at Christmas he grabs it and fired off half a dozen shots into the distance, then he turned towards me and saluted.
I had to ping it again so he'd remember the backpack to reload it.
He spent the rest of that mission just having the time of his life, blasting away everything with that cannon.
It was really adorable
My buddy lent me his Patriot for a bug extermination, best couple minutes ever!

You forgot 2 species of divers.
1. The turret lover diver - always has at least 2 turrets in his loadout.
2. The turret "lover" diver - always gets killed by the turret placed by turret lover diver.
this is so me lmfao always bring 3 turrets no matter the mission and will always get tk'd by my own

(I call this type of player "Engineer Helldiver")
Sometimes I'll carry 3 turrets.
3 turrets and a guard dog. I like it when the game plays itself and I just watch.
I'd like to add "the couple helldivers". They always play together and tend to stick to the party. But if their partner/spouse needs help. They'll abbandon the rest of the team to help out the other.
Bonus points if they actually live together.

May I suggest the existence of the DOOM Diver. A hell divers that either is done collecting pointless garbage like samples, or is tired of dieing 7 seconds into every helldive. They dedicate themselves to killing as many enemies as possible, mission be dammed.
Sometimes I just follow someone mindlessly killing stuff so I don’t have to pay attention to what I’m doing/where I’m going and still complete what my team wants to do.

Oh. That's me. Also, I'm maxed lvl. Used to grind the game when I first got it and then nowadays, when I have everything maxed out. I just log in everyday, do my personal req then join quickplay on Suicide or Impossible. I would go around collecting samples and closing bugholes. It's a chill gameplay.
made a toxic diver quit because he was killing me for my laser cannon and guard dog whenever i had it. so i jumped into a bug pit with the gear and refused to call it in again till he apologized for treating me like an NPC in skyrim. he chose to leave the group instead. wasnt missed at all.

I have played for 3 days. Ran into a game where all 3 teamates were lvl 25+ Hero Diver types. I was level 8. I got to test out all the cool stuff: and I mean ALL OF IT. Mechs, Support Weapons, Cool Guns, EVERYTHING. It was so much fun.

That’s awesome that they shared their toys with you. Would be a different story if you just ran towards and grabbed the first thing that was called down near you. I’m sure it’s not the latter… coz otherwise you’d have know quickly.

The Zoomy: a Helldiver who will join a squad only to go off on an adventure running like a lunatic and clear side objectives while the main squad does their thing. Regrouping with samples for the team.

I do that but don't trust myself not to lose my samples, so I drop them at the extraction point.
I’m a Zoomy, though if practical I’ll drop off a hoard of samples on or near exfil prior to rejoining squad.
Sample seeker and solo helldivers both in the same mission sounds like a match made in heaven. Neither one knows that the other is there XD
You do know there is a giant bar on their screen that shows their name right? Nobody is playing helldivers with a 2nd person there and doesn't know it...Between their name being on the screen and the "helldiver being deployed" sound

The Hero Diver was actually the guy that got me hooked me in the game. I was having buyer's remorse the moment I got in the training facility and I kept talking myself into refunding it when I found out it was a live service game. But that all changed when I encountered a random level 50 guy who helped me get my bearings. He went into my game, I was wondering who podded in and there he was, all authorotative because he was addressing me like an actual Admiral. Everytime there's enemies he would relentlessly quote star wars and Starship troopers, and he taught me how to collect samples and where to find stashes. That was my first time loading into a game. That dude really helped me and his general act was hilarious. Wish I was recording when I was playing.
Sadly, he didn't tell me about the fabricators XD
Yesterday when defending a planet against bots we started with 4 divers.
First we did the "kill 250 enemies mission". No one died. Morale was high. Then we had second mission, one player left after he died 2nd time. Another left when not being called back instantly after he just died on a seemingly empty field when we were already running through reinforcements quite quickly.
SOS beacon didn't bring anyone. Two of us managed to complete the mission with 1 reinforcement to spare...
What I'm trying to say is. Please don't quit on your fellow Helldivers

I wouldn't qualify "Quitter" as a type of diver. There's circumstances with how buggy the game is and IRL kind of needs to happen before the game. But if you're purposefully dropping because you didn't get exactly what you wanted, you're not a diver; you're a quitter.
You forgot The Instructor. A diver with moderate to expert skill that takes it upon themselves to dive into easy mode to teach others tips and tricks
I tend to do this while farming supper credits, I ain’t no looking for super credits on 7+

I'd say that's a subset of the hero diver.
Right next to the "try my cools stuff" hero diver, the "follow me and you will be fine" hero diver, and the "just want for everyone to have a blast" hero diver.
One more. The role-player. The guy that loves Super Earth, knows all of the lore, encourages squad mates to spread managed democracy and never breaks character.
For me, I'm a mix of wholesome diver and hero diver. I love answering those SOS calls and handing out hugs.
YEAH! I played with a couple guys one game. One was named "Lisan al Gaib" (the messaih from Dune) and then one of the other random guys was running around the whole game yelling his name while suicide bombing all the bot outposts. It was friggin hilarious.
The liberator is a perfectly fine weapon. It is easy to use at most ranges, little penetration but good damage and capacity, very good for crowd control against numerous light ennemies. The new weapons to unlock do not replace the previous ones but complete your arsenal so you have more tools for different jobs. It's very powerful when you learn to play in tight coordination with your friends and everyone is specialized in one job.

Funny thing is that with some of the other weapon buffs and weapons added since the railgun nerf… it actually is a terrible choice. But that wasn’t the case when people started complaining and tossed it aside lol
I ran into a true hero diver this morning while random dropping. Lvl 50, grinding for samples on Medium. Basically singlehanded wiping the map while also being a good teammate. A true ambassador to managed democracy.
Every time I see a sample I shout "OOH a piece of candy!"
I don't even need super samples anymore, I'm just addicted to collecting them

Hey, it also helps out anyone you're playing with. Chances are you don't have a full squad of players who all have every module
I pick up every single one that I find. Then try to give them to a player that I don't think has the achievement for bringing home 15 samples by themselves. If I can't, I just bring them all home for everyone.
One thing about the Wholesome Diver, I'm pretty sure Deep Rock Galactic turned me into one. Rocking and stoning the moment someone joins a mission, pinging chunks of gold, bittergems and frozen lootbugs has taught me one thing: If you have the chance to share a non-verbal moment of friendship with another player, you take it. From t-bagging at the start of matches of Battlefield to hugging my fellow helldivers, DRG started it all.

I am a solo diver and I cannot believe how accurate you got that.
I'm one of the Solo divers. In my recent mission, the divers I was going to assist on the mission, just immediately quit after I landed.
The Commando Diver:
Usually treats enemy outposts/hives by rushing in, putting a grenade in the holes and running out, sometimes they may put down an airstrike beforehand to lessen the load a little
That’s what I do sometimes lol. I don’t really have a specific gameplay type. I just play. For Democracy
Yep! I run off, doing sides and getting samples. This is the way. Mission ends faster, meeting up at extraction with all the red zones gone and a bag of samples.
Not a bad way to play honestly, especially against bots, ive been through multiple squad wipes because people refuse to disengage and try to put up a standing fight
I like to use lighter armors in most games and it works perfect with this build if you add a 380HE and get ahead of your squad and soften up a target. You can then push through together if clean up by yourself. You also die very rarely (with the shield backpack for bugs and fortified for bots) so you usually survive to extract the samples with you. Ya also versatile since you’ll have 2-3 available strategem slots to complement your team’s loadout
It comes to efficiency for me. Why waste an airstrike when a hand thrown item can do it in with just a little more effort?
You forgot the “I’ll hold them off!” Helldiver. The one who sacrifices himself for the smallest of objectives to the biggest of missions
This is me. And usually we're pyro divers with a flamer and napalm strike 🫡 danger close brother
The extreme masculine urge to sacrifice yourself for the better really kicks in ingame
I do this from time to time, either going it alone bc im a few rare samples shy of my next upgrade (I'm only level 13) and use a spammy loadout full of either entry level stratgems, or at least ones with already quick cooldowns, like the basic eagle, and EATs so im more or less self sufficient. If im not going it alone, I'm trying to corral the dumbass divers, if im not already being one myself, immediately dropping my EAT when a teammate engages an easily evaded patrol to down the inevitable dropship, or a gatling sentry to hold off a group while i get somewhere to reinforce the guys that just rushed a medium outpost by going in through the front gate.
The one thing that never changes tho, is that if i run off alone on a bot mission, if i don't die, I'll do the side stuff, and you can call me 007:
0-stims remaining
0-reserve mags left
7-samples (at least) or
7-angry patrols chasing me while i scream in terror

I only become the “I’ll hold them off” helldiver when we are swarmed and someone else has the super samples. Secure the bag, it’s worth the reinforcement.
I'm a Support Diver. Run Medic armor for the extra stims to heal in a pinch. Plus full support load out on stratagems. Just call me Doc because I am there to keep you healthy, and keep you fully stocked on ammo without needing to wait for resupply.
You forgot about the Creek Born Raider. The one who is a true veteran of Malevelon creek. They literally never played anything before it was liberated, and only ever fought on the creek, desperate to free it from automaton control

What about the Rave Diver?
LAS-Scythe, LAS-Dagger, Laser Cannon, Laser Drone, and Orbital Laser.
You never have a problem knowing where the enemy is, the multiple beams of light from the Rave party generally points ya in the right direction.
Have yet to play on a difficulty over 4 since I’m not in a rush to go for the super samples needed to finish the ship upgrades, but for the most part…..this might be me and I’m ok with that.

As a solo helldiver player I can confirm there is one more sub category to us. A lot of us played games like MGSV and are used to fighting through impossible odds solo.
Honestly this plays like a slightly clunkier mgsv. It’s a wonderful feeling
I'd rather solo a bug swarm of impossible odds than play with others and end up getting nuked by them first 2 times would get a laugh sure but afterwards then it's just irritating like stay tf away from me lemme do my thing alone.

The Sprinting Diver (Me actually)
Only runs light armor and stratagems capable of taking out buildings, such as orbital lasers, eagle strikes, & orbital precision strikes.
Sprinting around the map taking out factories and being gone before the enemy drop ships even arrive.
Bonus points if they're using the Radar enhancement and running around with the map open to avoid patrols.

He’s the one who loves Heavy and powerful weapons, sometimes explosives too! Oh, he also use heavy Armor.
He may be slow, but can get some resistance against enemies like a tank. Use them as spearhead is recommended.
That's me, the bot diver.. I didn't even know bugs were in this game until toda- wait you can have people join you? That's a thing? Oh... O-Oh... the solo bot diver journey is a thoughtless one.
The tacticool squad and the psychic tacticool squad.
These are players that may have had actual military service. They make sure their loadout compliments what the rest of the team bring so they will always be a swift answer to anything you run into.
They avoid enemies when necessary, and quickly obliterate most patrols before they can call in reinforcements.
Whenever someone needs to retreat they always provide cover fire.
The psychic variety are basically the same but no one uses microphones.
They're always there helping you when you're in trouble, and the group somehow splits to handle nearby objectives without communicating.
Then there are the stealth divers.
The psychic tacticool squad are probably on discord.
@@kalashnikovdevil Or they're people like my former roommate and I - we've been playing tactical games together for so long that we often pull off what looks like coordinated tactics without saying a word, just because we know what we will each do in the scenario.
We chat on discord, we coordinate our equipment and discuss tactics before dropping in. That way nobody has any questions in the middle of a titan party. Also, covering a buddy retreating is given. Is there someone not doing that? (We've all gone through military though...)
I'm the first one. I only use my mic when needed specifically to call out strats to avoid team-killing.
We also have trigger discipline.
Phsycic taticool is real. Ran a few with a random stranger. We efficiently full cleared several missions. Splitting up and converging. No communication except using q for vaults.
The stim diver - that diver that will out run 3 chargers 5 spewers and a barricade of hunters just to sim another fellow diver. This diver always has a supply pack and strat that have the lowest tk potential
As a stim and supply pack diver that is painfully accurate

Though I do sometimes pair a grenade launcher with the supply pack.

The solid snake diver. We focus more on callouts and pings than actual kills. We sneak and stealth. We make sure our fellow dovers know what's going on at all times. We also love the new eruptor. Three divers will run at the priority missions and the SS diver will be closing bug holes or automaton manufacturers.
Our trademark look is light armor. And we either constitute the most team deaths or the least, never in between.
He forgot the high ammo efficiency divers running any of the energy and arc weapons and only take the grenade and stim packs from points of interest instead of the supply drop.

Given my friends, I think there is a subtype of sample diver called the pink diver. They don't care much about green or rare samples. The mission is considered a failure though if they don't extract with those pink samples even though they need the other two types to actually upgrade their ship.
I love you collector types. Like nah bro, do your thing. Grab it all. I'll lay down the covering fire of Managed Democracy in the meantime.
I am more than happy to go through 1k rounds and a million Terminids if I have a guy basically carrying my burdens across the map. lol

I met a Hero Diver on my first *real* dive. I was fresh off of a dive where I dropped in then pretty much immediately extracted, and some dude around level 49 joined us. He carried us through the mission and gave us advice and tips. I accidentally team-killed him with a grenade. After he got back, we showed him his stuff, but he told us to grab it because we needed it more. That man was a true proponent of Democracy
there's one you're missing, and to be fair they're very few in numbers, difficult to find, and probably still 100 years in the past playing the first game.
Yes I'm talking about the veteran OG divers of the first galactic war of 2015.
My friend and I are two of those. It hurts a little to play Helldiver 2 and thinking about the 3 lost capes which you get from killing every faction boss.
And that there is no Paragon (I think the gun was called so) anymore. Perhaps it will come back.
It just would have been nice if you get a special cape or armor set when you are a vet. It doesn’t need to look shiny.
Just make it rugged and used.

As a newbie I can say I've come across a hero diver. Dude was so helpful, I just followed him around and tried to be useful. He would constantly drop shields and high level weapons for team members and would reinforce us so fast.
He also gave advice on how to take down certain enemy types and equipment.
i am not sure but i played with a fellow with the name ezpz recently, i am def a hero diver and will never change. if that was you my in game name was chinto13, either way, im glad you found some of us. its our pleasure.

As a Cinematic diver i feel the need to also point out that we have a subvarient called the blaze of glory cinematic diver which will intentionally alert all enemies in the area and then intenionally back you and your squad into a corner to do a last stand fight which is almost Always Unwinable.
The "drop the 380 in the middle of the small defence map" is amazing when you get a 4 man team of them 😂

My buddy and I brought “oops all orbital bombardment” for a defense mission, the rando was about to bring some normal stuff but switched last second to our loadout, funniest shit I ever saw, miss that rando
Me and a friend do that and add being drunk to the chaos...
Suicide mission+, 380 barrage, napalm eagle, 500kg bomb, 240 barrage, and see what kills us more, the bots or ourselves

The elimination of obstacles in the path of Liberty is the most important duty of any Helldiver!
YOU SHOULD ALL ASPIRE TO BE THIS DIVER
You should try to complete everything. The only reasons you wouldn't is if you are low on reinforcements or the super destroyer is about to leave.
You can't talk about the "newbie diver" without talking about the "recruitment specialist" who immediately brings you to the brink of existence, helldiving your ass off, white knuckled, clutching your trigger til your liberator's speechless, quietly screaming for a reload that falls on deaf ears never to speak again until it has to eulogize you in a 21-gun salute at your funeral.
The toxic i can manage, but the quitters... Thats so unpatriotic
Missed the total completionist. This diver will search every corner of the map for anything collectable, must do every side objective, every bug hole/bot factory, will let the mission clock hit zero and still will be out searching for that one last sample until the pelican is about to arrive. I'm a mix between that diver and the hero diver (or at least I try to be)
Oh dear... You do realize that's a very poor return on time invested vs just doing the stuff on the way to the objectives and extracting and starting another mission, right? And you're costing yourself warbonds.
@@TheLizardKing752 One of my current squadies is like that and its starting to drive me crazy. We run well past the point of diminishing returns and all she does is stress herself out.
The sooner we get into another mission the sooner we can collect more stuff.

Plus the more time you spend on a mission the more likely you are to find super credits. I got 300 literally yesterday after a couple hours. There are ways to get all this stuff faster but it gets grindy, and I just want to have fun

I’m a mix of hero and SOS I think. I love helping people out. I’ll even go collect all the samples for my fellow divers, even though I’m maxed out.
I'm whatever the term is for the wholesome, solo, and hero diver categories combined: always offering hugs, tends to run solo, helps out lower level players when my duo is online
I'm mostly the hero diver..Im not maxed out sample wise, but still let lower levels use my equipment. I want them to have fun, and bring friends to this incredible game
I'm a lot the same. Just hearing the maniacal laughter of a cadet the first time they hop into an exosuit and rampage through an easy map brings a patriotic tear to my eye.

the kind of helldiver i am is the effective diver a player that focuses all weapons and stratagems to be most effective as possible for all kinds of enemy's heavy armor or light bug or bot i must be efficient at killing both on any mission type and do not like failing my teammates.

I met one of those. I was a mere level 3 cadet and a guy dropped a Rover to help me out. (This was before I even knew you could drop equipment like that)
I just started playing, and within 20-30 minutes as a recruit alone on my first mission, I had a Hero join me by himself without me using an SOS beacon, he came fully decked out with all the ammo he could carry for his recoilless rifle, droped a walker for me to use, and even helped me get all of the samples and medals.
The “I gotta hog all the supplies” diver. They try to run solo from a team mission and call down the supply just for himself/herself. They then died and or rage quit and left the team stranded from ammo and stims.

yea whenever im completely surrounded in a vc with my friend I just quote the training manual 'when in doubt, shout "FOR DEMOCRACY" and charge head first into your problems' then proceed to get deleted by a rocket raider (not even devastator) at 5m
I would like to point out The Dramatic Diver, which is missing from this list.
The dramatic diver will rant about the horrors they've seen and friends they've lost throughout the war, some of them even have missing limbs replaced by prosthetics.
On the battlefield the dramatic diver is very emotional, but also incredibly supportive, trying to make sure every teammate will make it out alive as their top priority.
They can also often be found praising Super Earth and the democracy at random times and get very sensitive when someone dares to think otherwise.

I been a hero driver for the past few games. Nothing make me more happy then helping low ranking players and help them rank up.
I once dropped in to help 2 low level Players who were almost over run by the Automicton’s Massive force.
Long story short. I dropped in, save the Cadet from the overwhelming Automicton’s, brought in a lot of support, then Evac.
I was alone with a hero diver on my first dive. It was a true pleasure. Exosuits and shield generator backpacks all the way.
There’s the Patriot… they always salute no matter what.
There’s the EVERYTHING Diver- 100% wants optional and samples and hates it when teammates extract too quickly
The Goofy Diver who calls in all the wrong stratagems for the sake of a joke… but the group is better for it cuz it raises morale.
Then there is the Captain Diver- he leaves no man behind. Will check to make sure his fellow divers are making their way to the drop ship, always knows where a diver is on the map and where they fell. They have the proper support based on his other divers and salutes them before boarding the drop ship

The deadweight diver: The helldiver that spends the entire game sitting on the extraction point waiting for you to defend yourself from an army of automotons on 7 difficulty, then getting mad at you if you die.
These are less like archetypes and more like phases. I was the dumbass diver at one point. Called in a hellbomb, couldn't figure out how to activate it for like 2 minutes, finally figured it out and totally underestimated the size of the blast.
Now I'm more of a hero diver. Always trying to lock down a secure area for my team to thrive in, while they push towards objectives. Happy to share equipment or help out where I can, and reckless enough to jump into hopeless situations to recover a downed players' samples.
You forgot the Stealth Helldiver. The one that sneaks into bug outposts or bot factories and launches the biggest bombs in 5 seconds and leaves the area before it strikes so you have to deal with the hordes while they run to the next objective.

Stealth diver right here. Playing the game like Metal Gear Solid is fun as hell while the rest of your team are re-enacting Vietnam on the Creek. Split off from the group on helldive, 500KG bomb for small bases, insta-kill, Airstrike + Precision Strike for larger bases and nade throws from outside the base for larger bases. Can't go wrong. Evade every patrol you see (don't want reinforcements) and come back to your team at evac with 80% of the samples and all 2nd obj done as they just finished off fending a hoard of hulks and tanks with 2 reinforcements left.
I guess im the wholesome diver cause my first suggestion for something to add to the game, was that if the joiner was sprinting, it became a tackle hug where you picked them up, spun them around, and fell back with them
I didn't know I needed this in my Helldives until now.
I'm a mix between the hero, the wholesome diver, and the sweaty diver. I do whatever it takes to get missions and objectives done whether it's alone or with camarades
I’m such a wholesome diver at heart, with the will to fight to the bitter end.
On my ship, it’s just hugs all around. I’ve lost my arm and leg on Fenrir III, and it taught me that the life of a Helldiver is precious, and should be cherished as much as the democracy that we spread.
If my actions ended up killing my teammates, I immediately call them back and apologize when they drop back in.

There is an extraordinary rare type of Helldiver that bears no title; They randomly split off from the group, only to come back 13 minutes later covered in bug blood with a ridiculous amount of loot and samples, and finding out that they completed 2 or 3 side objectives and destroyed 4 hives while you and the 2 others were doing the main objective.

That's been me. I grab a SSD and 15 minutes later I meet back with my teammates at the second SSD site after delivering the SSD, clearing the relay, and stealth-clearing several medium/heavy outposts
Having 1 person break off the group is actually quite a good strategy as the people fighting will have drops called on them, which means the stealther will be less likely to have a drop called on them due to the hidden cooldown between enemy reinforcement calls
@@kaden-sd6vbI completed the main objective for a helldive automaton data retrieval solo while my 3 other part members destroyed outposts and completed secondary objectives. I casually juggled 2 SSSDs across the map completely disregarding enemies. I brought a level 18 friend and his level 24 friend, and invited a high level friend of mine. With him being 74 and me being 49.
@@Trialsphere my mission was on difficulty 8 automatons, it was also the mission where I got the achievement for having nobody die, teammates were randoms around my level(around 50)

The Sacrificer Helldiver - If he sees a chance to kill 20 or more enemies with a cluster bomb he's gonna do it... and he's completely unconcerned if you're in the blast radius. It's easy mistake the first few deaths as an accident but in reality every CQC encounter will likely end with your death. They are usually pretty quick on the reinforcements though... but only because he wants more magnets to attract enemies for his airstrikes.
The crackdiver: will run around the map like a mad dog, clearing any objective and camps, picking samples like a vacuum and his thirst for bug blood and robot oil will never be quenched.
Perks of being a quickplay Helldiver: Sometimes you join as the mission ends and you get free samples, sometimes the mission just started and you get to collect samples.
The buddy diver, the one who sticks to his buddy no matter the cost. You will often see this helldiver suppling he’s fellow helldivers with a support pack and will not extract until he knows every democracy spreader is safe and extracted.

I'd be a solo diver not because I don't like people but because I couldn't resist the urge to be a lone sniper killing bots and bugs from miles away and just having fun
the roleplay diver: using theme armor and weapons, like a mandaloiran, or a starship trooper. the try hard diver, love to challenge himself in the highest difficulty least die possible. the explorer divers: always explore 100% of the map, doing every side misson, finding every interest points
I don't know this type:
They Never join a random who kicked them once ever again.
They prefer to avoid joining a player who has an open mic. "Their setup is so bad you can hear them breathe, moan, eat, and hear their game sound and music in the background."
They only talk a little or never.
They Join if they see SOS.
They solo only until seeing the SOS popup, but only if they finish their mission campaign first.
They take stratagem based on mission rather than meta, or what works for them based on the mission type.
Their weapon loadout is random but still based on what is working on the mission type.
I feel like i might be an "anti-meta diver". When I heard "The only reason to not use the breaker-shotgun is you don't own it." It made me want to use every other weapon first. Also, love the AMR.

Im exactly the same. I refuse to fall into a meta - just earlier today i did an all laser build using the Las Scythe, Laser Guard Dog and Laser Cannon. It was glorious. 656 kills, 72 of which were from the eagle Strafing runs. Also, AMR rules.
I prefer the Dominator. Two/three shotting Bile Spewers with medium armor penetrating headshots allows me to save ammo and most importantly my recoilless on more armored enemies. Scythe is fun to use on bots though. It's just somehow fitting to use energy weapons against them...
I actually used the Breaker shotgun quite a bit not realizing it was meta. I like shotguns cause my aim was the best with bots. I use a Liberator Penetrator for bugs now.
And then there is the veteran who somehow doesn't realize that HD2 is a super casual game, because they have never actually played and actually hard game like competitive CounterStrike or Escape from Tarkov.
Dont forget the RP diver who is SUPER into the lore is always role-plays in missions and is an absolute blast
If you are teamplayer like the comment. They love working as a team and will change there loudout to a fit role in the team and sometimes comes in clutch.
I always like to look at what everyone has and goes. Hmm. What is going to give my team a headache?
Charger/Tiatns? Its time to hunt the big bads. i pick entirety anti tank because i know everyone else can handle the adds. Ill also glue myself to the team so i can deal with anything as it pops up.
Hunters/hive gaurds? Scorched earth! Napalm strike and flamethrower followed by planting myself on any bug breach like a flag to literally melt anything that spawns. The jump pack also helps for getting away if anything big spawns because you're literally right next to them!
I LOVE the smell of flame roasted bug guts in the morning!
I like to describe myself as a “Captain from Space King” player. Genob- I mean 500 Kilo the whole planet
I’ve definitely seen my evolution between these, from noob to sample runner to solo (originally because of server issues, then because I missed feeling trapped behind enemy lines) to meta (before rail gun nerf) now I’d say I’m somewhere between anti meta and hero diver. I generally don’t play many low missions (I main suicide as it’s a sweet spot of difficulty. Usually not dying but sometimes getting team wiped) but I’ll run something like flamethrower and supply pack on bots to charge over walls spraying upgraded flames then give teammates supplies whenever they’re holding a gun line
Its nice hearing the ost from HD1 playing throughout the video. Would have been a nice touch to have a leader/vet diver but over all very well done.
Id like to think of myself as a hero/anti meta diver. I like gimmicks even when i played HD1 my loadouts where gimmicks useing both lmgs with the heavy armor perk and directional shield to become immortal while going sample hunting with new players.
