What a super nice way to be able to tighten up the top of a project! It looks so much like your Ranger bead, But with a whole different application. Thank you so much!
Great video, I used the technique for making halyards for my boat, but used a Brummel lock to finish it and I pull a small soft shackle into the loop that attaches to my sail.
Dude you are the bomb that dog bone button is my go-to and your videos are slow and very easy to follow genius pure genius you got me back into paracord tying entertaining me when I was in Fort McMurray and I tied a lot of it thank you haven't done it since I was a child and now I'm in my fifties making some really cool stuff keep up the good work cheers
Learned so much from you!! Thank you❤❤ You had ONE video where you started a knot on your finger (of left hand). What I remember is this: Rope was on top of finger... Looped around behind and back over to front- on left side loop Wrapped around again Than tread it thru the outer left loop. I can't figure out what that knit is called- or which video it was
Good tutorial-very helpful. It appears to be a process that would work well looping it through a lanyard hole toward the end of the process, so it’s on the gear (like a knife) when you complete the knot. Thank you.
I really liked your video. If this is the cheater's way of tying a diamond knot ,cheater's never prosper. You should check other ways of tying a diamond knot. Your way is quite a bit harder than the diamond knot that I tie. I really do like your video. thanx.
Thanks for your videos. I have a question/request. For a project I need the diamond knot but as a button. Similar to what you did here, but without the loop on top of it. I mean a diamond knot with just the two lose strands underneath it…. Is this possible?
You want to look up the actual diamond crown knot i think (often listed as the lanyard knot), the strands both come out the same place, can be made with loop or ''knot''(haha!) Not sure if this guy (Whyknot) has a vid of that, as just come across him . Good stuff this man.
Did everyone watch this video on mute? Half the comments are literally "isn't this a button/Turk's head?". Yes, he literally says that like 10 seconds in and why it's
Great idea, thank you! This can be used in so so many ways.
Wonderful
Excellent job and well explained. Thank you
That's a nice little tip. Thank you for that.....
Clever ! Interesting! Well explained! Thank you !

You had to go though that gap, you had to, you needed to!!!! : -)

So zen.

Looks like a hackamore knot or a turkshead
This was great for tying something nice so my hoodie strings wouldn't pull through!
But it makes a running loop so your tool drops off
Cornwall's Answer 3:48 onwards
Konrad Ritter hardly fail safe. Knife lanyard knot is a one ender intended for the purpose.
If you're putting it on a knife lanyard, you have access to both ends. Just use a normal diamond knot. This is if you have one working end.
What length of cord is used in the video?
Isn't that a Celtic button knot?
This. It's a bad sign when the "sneaky trick" also changes the number of loops and ends coming out of the knot. :)
Yes. that is literally the first step.
This is a Chinese button knot.
I got nothing. Just me.

"cheating"
Ha... Yep that's cheating 80D
Ahhhhgh...Jumps off the roof...
That's not a true diamond knot.
