In the UK, you probably hear this song before you even turn the age of 1, and then hear it every Christmas multiple times for the rest of your life. Along with Merry Christmas, Everyone by Slade. And this is the 50th anniversary Christmas for both of those songs, so it's a good time to hear them if you've never heard them before
It honestly had never occurred to me that this iconic song, which is such a Christmas institution to us in the UK, wasn’t known elsewhere. I just assumed everyone, everywhere, knew it. Delighted you’ve found the joy of Wizzard and Roy Wood.
It's not Christmas until I've heard this. THE BEST Christmas song ever!

Yay! So pleased it's Christmas week. I meant to say that yesterday but Justin Hawkins trousers put me in a bit of a spin!😉. I'm so surprised you have never heard this by Wizard! It is literally part of Xmas here in UK. It brings back so many lovely childhood memories. There are a few like this that are an integral part of the festivities here. You know it's begun when you hear this and also Slade with, "Merry Christmas Everybody" from 1973 also. If you haven't heard it, then I'm sure you'd enjoy it as much as Wizard. There are quite a lot but I've gone on for too long. ✌
