    Very cool daily.My weekend car is an ATS-V and my daily is a bare bones single cab WT 2WD with the same V6.That powertrain is honestly impressive and the mileage is also pretty stellar for moving a big truck.I get 19 city and 26 highway in mine.Enjoy her !

    My mother was going to buy a new sienna, she did all the work with my dad. After that, Toyota salesman was talking about how much money she can save with leasing and showing her beautiful numbers, my dad let them talk and even brought the manager over and explained him how great leasing is. Long story short, my dad had the numbers, and with leasing, my mom would be paying $4,000 more than the loan option.

    The reason why people like me in the north lease is because trucks rust out lol. Trucks are so expensive now they give out loans for 8 years. By the time ur done paying it off it’s outdated and probably needs rocker panels. I’d rather just pay my 285 mo 0 down on my Colorado and not have to worry about fixing anything while also paying a huge payment. You also get a brand new truck every 3 years. It’s a good gig here in the north

    The remote start A/C relies on an ambient temperature sensor. So it senses what the temperature is, and corresponds to what A/C setting the truck will give. The problem is GM thinks everyone must be sweating bullets, so the heater will only come on when it’s less than 40° outside. 41° and up, and you’ll get full blast A/C.

    • @lanthonyperdum6430

    • @Romans_116
      @Romans_116 4 роки тому

      Do the math. $250 x 12months x how many years lease.
      Consider decreased value and what the vehicle will be worth by the end of the lease. Then add the thousands of dollars worth of deposit to make the actual difference.
      It’s no secret. $250 a month for lease means a million dollars down payment.

    • @watchreport
      @watchreport 4 роки тому +1

      @@Romans_116 it all depends on the deals given. It’s 2 wheel drive and a base model. GM is notorious for giving great deals and if he went to a good dealership during a promotion or was able to deal well, he could have got a couple grand off and then only put down $2-$3000. It’s definitely doable.

      It’s definitely doable. Leasing for some people is the way to go. But the banks and the dealers need to make their money regardless. They won’t lose... they’ll make sure you pay enough to cover the costs and some the profit.
      They will either make you do a good amount of down payment and or limit your mile usage. But at the end of the day, it’s like renting a car. It will never be yours and you are responsible for any dents, scratches, etc...

    • @watchreport
      @watchreport 4 роки тому

      @@Romans_116 there’s a good amount of leeway with scratches and dents upon a lease return. They are more concerned about interior. Yes massive dents or cracks etc, busted lights will have to be repaired or you will pay for it upon return but a couple of small dents and scrapes on a vehicle are usually overlooked, at least that’s been my experience over the years of leasing.
      You can also but lease insurance through the dealer, where you pay a small payment each month and you can get $5,000, $10,000 etc coverage for when you return the vehicle.

According Chevy's build and price page, a base Silverado 1500 Custom Crew Cab, with the 4.3L V6, is $40,295, including destination. That's with no options, not even 4x4. It only goes up from there. Now, of course, there are package, factory and dealer discounts, which could lower the price down to around $28,000, but the sticker price is a minimum of $40,295. His is at least the much, so he's getting, in fact, a $40,000+ truck for $360 a month. That's really quite good.

The best I'm seeing in Nebraska for a Ford F-150 is around $11,000 off. All of those are significantly higher than the $40295.00. The insult to injury on pricing is that the discounts fade after the XLT trim...Lariat and above the discount drops of substantially. Making the STX version the best buy for the $$$ (typically).

If you're using your truck to just tow your camper, haul trash to the dump, basic work truck style... 4WD isn't necessary. That being said, 4WD has its place in certain terrains, boat ramps, snow prone areas, etc. And, the 4.3 V6 is a fantastic and proven engine platform.

    I never thought about leasing one of these trucks. I'm not a huge fan of the custom look compared to some of the other higher end models of the Silverado, but you can't pass up the monthly price! I would have to have 4x4 though! otherwise I want the same thing.

    It's a lease; soooo it's NOT ACTUALLY "$200/mo" because you're not factoring in insurance costs...any time you lease or even finance a vehicle a vast majority of states regulate and require that you maintain full-coverage on the vehicle for the duration of either/or lease/financing terms. Which though the base payment to GM on a monthly basis may very well be in the neighborhood of $200/mo. However, if full-coverage on a vehicle that you don't technically own costs you $300/mo (rough national average estimate) this makes your actual monthly payment pertinent to the vehicle in question around $500/mo give or take a $100 bill here or there which again makes the option of a lease predominantly cost-prohibitive.

  • @TheGhost5600

    There is no way he leased this truck for $250 a month and employee pricing is only good toward buying, not leasing. The best deal I was offered was $2500 down which includes tax, all the phony bank fees, DMV and first month's payment, and forgiving my last three payments on my 2018 lease for a payment of $345 a month. I would have went for it for an LT but too much money for a custom.

Better off to buy and own , better yet buy , keep for 12 to 15 yrs after 60 months bank all that payment amount more than pays for repairs and maintenance costs.My 08 bought and paid for yrs ago and no monthly payment
