If the Gnosis of the Hydro Archon is a knight, it would make sense considering a knight’s ideology would resonate well with the concept of justice which Hydro represents. Also I had a theory abt the Hydro Archon that I’ve been thinking off: Theory: The Hydro Archon is Teyvat's Maximilien Robespierre I saw a post recently that pointed out that all the max level gemstones contained quotes from their respective element's Archon. In particular, the Varunada Lazurite Gemstone caught my eye. One commenter and one theory posted a while back theorized that the Hydro Archon could be based off of Louis XVI, but I quickly saw similarities with the opposite side of the French Revolution: Maximilien Robespierre. For those unfamiliar, Robespierre was an influential and divisive figure during the French Revolution. He is best known for his role as a member of the Committee of Public Safety, personally signing 542 arrests during the Reign of Terror. This period was marked by mass arrests and executions. This was made possible by the Revolutionary Tribunal, a court instituted for the trial of political offenders. Here we see our first similarity: Both Robespierre and the Hydro Archon make use of and place importance in a Tribunal. She even goes so far as to say that the people here [Fontaine] can only be judged by laws and the Tribunal, not by the gods. This mirrors the state-sponsored atheistic religion established during the Revolution, the Cult of Reason. This was a religion made to replace Roman Catholicism, as revolutionists were largely anti-clericalism. It espoused the pursuit of perfection of mankind through the attainment of Truth and Liberty. This brings us to our second point, where the Hydro Archon says that the Tribunal may judge even her. This is further confirmation that the Hydro Archon puts justice above her own deity status, but this also has a parallel in the Revolutionary Tribunal. While there was an early precedent for the Tribunal being able to trial its own members in the case of Girondins vs Jean-Paul Marat, they still had some protection as the Convention had to vote to trial them. The Prairial Laws, written by Robespierre, removed this protection and expedited trials to an extreme degree. Several political factions were purged and executed. No member of the Tribunal was safe, not even Robespierre. The Thermidorian Reaction in particular used this clause to devastating effect; when Robespierre threatened another purge in a speech, the Convention turned on him and issued an arrest. Robespierre was executed the day after. While it is unlikely the Hydro Archon will be executed, it's entirely possible that she may be ousted and trialed by her own Tribunal. Lastly, we move on to the remaining text. Despite the importance the Hydro Archon holds in the law, she claims that her ideals have no stain, and that her magnificence and purity is praiseworthy. She also insists that she must correct others. EDIT: I forgot to mention this, but Robespierre was titled 'the Incorruptible'. Considering the Hydro Archon praises herself for her purity, A.K.A. not being corrupt, the similarity is striking. Yet again, Robespierre was known to advocate for reasonable ideals, such as abolition of slavery and equality before the law. However, his method of correction involved catastrophic loss of human life. Despite this, he continued to grow in his ideas of grandeur, culminating in the establishment of the Cult of the Supreme Being. Ironically, despite anti-clericalism being one of the early driving forces of the Revolution, Robespierre's new religion featured a deity. It retained support for democracy and liberty, but Robespierre insisted that belief in a god was essential to society. However, it is possible he was also using it as a political tool, establishing himself as the head of the religion. This is perhaps one of the biggest hints to what the current situation in Fontaine is. While the Hydro Archon may claim importance in the law, she has established herself as the God of Justice. The Tribunal can judge her, but what use is it if she still has control of it? What use are laws if she could change them? Anyway, that's my theory. I'm excited to see what's in store for the Hydro Archon either way.
Oh, I remember a theory that the shape of the statue of the seven of a region has a shape that resembles their gnosis, so you can use that to make a guess about the gnosis type, that paired with the slime theory, that slimes make parallels with their archon, and you can kinda guess which archon has each gnosis (it's not 100% accurate, it's theory after all, but it's as good as we have right now). So, geo slime and cryo slimes are the only ones that have shields, we know that Morax has a rook, so the tsaritsa probably has the other hook. Going from the shape of Makoto's statue (Makoto had shorter braids, and the statue also has shorter braids, so I'm quite sure the statues are Makoto's, might be wrong though, we'll have to wait until Sumeru), I think the electro gnosis is a bishop, and the slime that pair with electro's are dendros (look at the order on the archive and their overall appearance), so dendro is the other bishop (and considering that it's the next region, make sense they wouldn't show the electro gnosis, they want to keep the thing about repeating gnosis a secret for a little longer. Though it's kinda obvious, but not having cannon confirmation makes guessing the story harder). That leaves us with hydro and pyro, the two slimes with horns, and the last pieces are the horses (Knights? English is not my first language and I have no clue about the english name, on portuguese they're horses). Now, there are still pieces lacking in this chess board, the king and the pawn. The king I believe it's going to be the god of time, cause they're always worshipped along the god of wind (Barbatos), which is the queen gnosis, and it's mentioned so many times how they were worshipped side by side, or that there's a connection between wind and time, that it gets suspicious; and I think this god of time is either someone high up in Celestia, or Paimon (yes, Paimon. She doesn't remember from where she came from, what she is or her powers and stuff, and there's the time fast forward is the Paimon menu. MiHoYo loves to blurs the line between game mechanics and lore, so...). As for the pawn, that's the traveler. They're the ones capable of resonating with each element and embodying each ideal from each region, and if you look closely, the attacks and playstyle the traveler has with each element somewhat mimic the playstyle of the respective archons (is not an exact copy, and it's way weaker, but it's similar enough to be kinda weird)
@@gabrielabatista6016 I’m pretty intrigued of you saying that we can use a Statue of the Seven to guess an Archon’s Gnosis. It’s not gonna be like an accurate way to judge how it’s gonna look like but that is definitely an interesting way. As for my thoughts on the theories about how the Traveler plays into this chess based scenario; They're not a traditional chess piece or even a piece at all. They're somewhat of a 3rd party walking in on a game of chess, and this particular game has been going on for far longer than the Traveler has even been in Teyvat. As the loading screen mentions: "Teyvat has its own Laws" This makes the Traveler a true wildcard in this scenario precisely because they're not a pawn or any other piece on the board. They don't have to play by Teyvat's rules.
I really like your theory, it makes a lot of sense and I honestly think this may be the route Mihoyo is taking for the Hydro Archon. One thing I want to add (though you're likely already aware), is what's said about the Hydro Archon in the "Travail" storyline preview. It's said that "The God of Justice lives for the spectacle of the courtroom, seeking to judge all other gods. But even she knows not to make an enemy of the divine". I feel like this also ties into the idea of Robespierre making it so that even the Tribunal itself could be judged, except in the Hydro Archon's case, this not only applies to the Hydro Archon's Tribunal, but it's also how she sees all the other gods in general, too. It seems that in her eyes, no one is safe from justice. Considering that she views her own ideals as the purest, along with the fact that she considers the events of the courtroom to be a "spectacle", my wild guess is that she gets a kick out of being right. The part about her knowing not to make an enemy of the divine makes you wonder, does this mean that while she believes herself to be the most just, are there still lines she is unwilling to cross even in the name of justice, if it means making enemies? There's sort of a contradiction here. Like you said, what use is there in the Tribunal being able to judge the Hydro Archon, if she is in control? And also, is she really qualified to be "God of Justice", if she believes her ideals are the purest? Is it truly "justice", if she only views her own ideals as right? I wonder how this will play out when it comes to the Tribunal judging her for her ideals. Is it possible that she remains in this state of "correctness" because she is the Archon and will always have the final say, no matter how many oppose her? It's very interesting.
A detail that no one has mentioned in this comment thread that might reinforce this theory is that its speculated (or at least thats what the fan wiki has to say) that Fontaine is based on France, and if everything alligns so well, mihoyo is sure as hell making a damn good story for Fontaine
@@Gio_in_6D that is right, lots of ppl are speculating (even some confirmed) Fontaine will most likely be based on off France, so if that happens, it’ll all aligned up so well
My notes on each hydro character was their all skilled in an art that they are shown to be the top of the line in. Barbara has the art of song Mona has the art of astrology Xingqiu has martial arts Childe has the art of combat Kokomi has the art of strategy Ayato has the art of politics Yelan has the art of secrecy (or at least i believe so since this is pre-yelan release) Update: Nilou has the art of dance Candace has the art of self defense I assume? Something related to battle! and Fontaine being the land that is most advanced and known for their arts, it isn’t too surprising that they all happened to be associated with justices and arts.
I think geo characters have the trait of resilience. Each one of the geo characters have worked hard and were very resilient towards their ambitions. They’ve made a contract to themselves to work towards their ambitions.
I like to think more that geo characters deeply hold respect for a certain value/contract, like itto with the code of the oni, noelle with the knighthood code, and albedo with the code of humanity (because he is not one)
Tartaglia is such a good character 🥲 sometimes i just wanna kiss persons who thought about his story.. its just so good. Everyone who has little siblings can feel sympathy for him, and everyone who is slavic too.. he is just so well written ❤️
I feel that most Hydro characters fit around the theme of Judgement. Barbara - Judgement against an idol (though it could be against her sister) Mona - Judgement of her talents (astrology) Childe - Judgement of his combat abilities Xingqui - Judgement of his affluence (he's negatively spoken of in public, considered a shut-in, etc...) Kokomi - Judgement as the last priestess Ayato (speculation) - Judgement as the head of the clan Just personal thoughts, though I don't know how the theme of judgement fits into how they earn their visions.
I'm really curious about Cryo, since I feel like cryo visions center around the idea of "Duality" in identity. Which makes me wonder what the Cryo archon is like since at the moment they seem like a "villain" when it's probably just one side of her coin.
A reminder that out of all the things we hear about the Tsaritsa, a lot of which is mentioned (by Childe, I believe, but I think others talk about her too), it's said that the Cryo Archon is incredibly gentle and kind, and that she purposely keeps her icy exterior.
Also Hydro characters have one thing in common: Theyre all someone well-known/ famous. They all have aspects about them that makes them "entertaining".
A concept I realized all hydro characters have is, sacrifice. For justice, you must sacrifice one side for the other and wise versa. Sacrifice is in the stories of every hydro character. -Ayato sacrifices his childhood to create a better future for the kamisato clan -Kokomi sacrifices her dreams of becoming a war consultant to lead watatsumi island -Childe sacrifices being with his family for the tsaritsa -Mona sacrifices material desires for astrology -Xingqiu sacrifices his personal desires for his family's legacy -Barbara sacrifices her individuality and personal life to make monstadters happy All hydro characters have a theme of making a sacrifice for the sake of something they consider more important than themselves. Even with Yelan, we can expect she sacrifices her work being seem by the public for the sake of Liuye's people
i really like that mihoyo choose for genshin characters to obtain their power “visions” through their actions and their live experiences, and not gave them whatever power for their blood or family line like other games usually do… it gives more depth to the characters
So Benny - adventure, Diluc - conviction, Yanfei - order and law, Xinyan - music, Yoimiya - uhm idk but like fireworks brrr, Hu Tao - duty, work, responsibilities???? Amber - also idk 💀💀 who else did I forget or is that it
I got a feeling that the Hydro Archon might pull a Miraculous. *1. Fontaine is France* *2. Justice. French justice.* *3. All Hydro users have good looks.* *4. All Archons might have a secret.* *5. Water goddess = Magical girl*
Hawkmoth steps out of the shadows, chuckling. Small yellow butterflies surround him. A pair of vision-bearers sink into a fighting position. “You...if you're here for our visions, you won't get them!” Hawkmoth lets out another laugh, louder this time. “I have no interest in your visions. I'm after something else. Or should I say...someone.” The two heroes exchange a look. “Whoever it is, we won't let you hurt them!” At this, Hawkmoth appears genuinely confused. “Hurt them? No, I simply need to borrow some Mora. I'm in a bit of debt back in Liyue, and Director Hu is letting me borrow some butterflies at the cost of my own paycheck. I did manage to purchase this suit and mask on something called ‘credit’ though. The craftsmanship is exquisite, though the colors are a bit bold for my usual tastes. However, recently-” “Wait wait wait, so you're not Hawkmoth? So much for finding out your secret identity.” “Rex Lapis is dead.” “What?” “What.”
@@jakthesac5175 "Miraculous Tales of Benny's adventure team" In the day time, he's just Xingqiu. But he has a secret; he becames the true pyro archon at night. Also, we should find Itto a miraculous holder. (He's Plagg lol)
I think all these vision discussions are fascinating, given that these very traits that they all have negative connotations too. Anemo is an element of freedom. Great on paper, pursue your own goals and all, but order exists for a reason and this reflects in how Mondstadt has to deal with it's problems without a god. Hydro is an element of justice, but justice is never the same for anyone, and one person's justice can be a horrible injustice in the eyes of others. Childe got a vision for pursuing his own justice, but he's a Fatui who kind of tried to destroy Liyue harbor on the order of his Tsaritsa. Geo is an element of dedication, but also one of stubbornness. Itto is pretty much a manchild with the power of a god. Not a good look. Pyro is an element of passion, but passion can be destructive to others and the self. This is why it's god has the domain of war. Bennett, depending on how you interpret his story, is borderline suicidal. Cryo is an element of love beneath a layer of coldness. But that coldness drives people away. Dendro is an element of Wisdom, but the pursuit of wisdom can become obsession. Baizhu pursues eternal life to the point where he lives with a zombie. And arguably the worst is Electro. Electro is an element of preservation, but what if what you're trying to preserve isn't all that great? Fischl wants to preserve her delusions of grandiose stories. Razor wants to preserve his lupical and his uneducated ways. Lisa wants to preserve her life in her own lazy way. And so on.
This is not necessarily true. As what you have pair the element up is, a aspect of a archon. And archon are not related to vision. As we know visions are fueled by ambition, a certain type of ambition for certain type of element. Though all archons are gods not all gods are archon. And their are plenty of origin that contridict a god of the same element. It's save to say that pyro= passion. Dendro we have a too limited of a reference. I think hydro doesn't equal justice, but selflessness. To put others before you, to suffer for others. We have another character as reference, a npc. And the result of him losing that ambition/vision. He out of his own pocket gave it to the poor taking on debt without anyone knowing. And when he lost that vision he has lost that compassion to withstand it. And found his situation unfair and other ungrateful. when before, he Did not mind. And electro doesn't equals persevasion. As we have a storm god that did not want to preserve anything. I think what electro is fueled by is longing. As Ei explained that gods have nothing to do with handing out visions. There is nothing stopping electro visions to be born. Only the first condition, a ambition to fuel it. And longing would fit every electro character more than persevasion. Keqing for example wants to discard a lot of hindering traditions. And beido would also have a ?. But longing for a epic is something she would do. Like the pathon she killed. And kazuhas late friend, fighting the Raiden shogun. Which at that scene kazuha was also willing. And activated his vision. Fischle longing for a friend, made oz. And razor longing for family made his stand. Cyro is a bit difficult to determine. But the point they have in common are distance from their peers and the dedicated towards them. It's a concept but not a aspect or goal that can be put in ambition. So I don't know how to disscribe it Geo, is I think discipline. A contract with ones self. Albedos promise to himself to not cross a certain threshold. Zhonglie upholding any and all contracts. Noelle the maid. Anemo, surprisingly I don't think represent freedom. Venti does though. But stubbornness is more of a factor between the vision users we have. Jean, sucrose and Xiao have less of a theme with freedom. Jean especially. So I think what sums them up is obsession. But we have to small of a pool to take a clearer reference from.
@@shinronvaynex5900 i think that electro might be going against the natural/human order like how razor is a human raised by wolves or when kazuha awoke the dead vison he was going against a god, i think it relates to the idea of the gods smiting down those who commit sin or how electricity was mankind's first true step to overthrowing what was once the norm
@@onnopleaseno649 interesting idea. Like big game hunting. Facing something bigger than once self. Though fishle seems hard to fit in that one. And so does kujou Sara. As she is so devoted, that she was almost a mindless puppet following order, having absolute trust in the shogun. Can't imagine her going against the current.
@@shinronvaynex5900 i think fish is easy to fit actually because she is living in a fantasy and rejecting reality as seen in her backstory, and sara betrayed her clan in the story but to me i think shes more so betraying her own doubts even if they are reasonable concerns to serve the shogun? she is a bit harder to define but it still seems like it fits
@@onnopleaseno649 Beidou literally lives against the norm since shes a pirate and Ei lives against the norm as an archon by being a fucking robot but her soul is inside a sword, Keqing used to be an aethiest 💀
Perhaps the biggest "What If" question that I have been contemplating for a while is what would the playable characters ideals be if they were to take the Archon seat of their respective elements? Provided their outlook doesn't change drastically from their worldview now, the words describing them in this video here seem like a good place to start. Barbara, the God of Duty Ajax, the God of Protection Kokomi, the God of Authority Xingqiu, the God of Chivalry It's interesting to consider what a society created by them would look like.
So if we accept that archons are not the ones who hand out vision as Ei claims, why would people who hold certain type of visions have similarities with the archon of their element?
I think that, while the archon does not hand out vission. The archon subconscious desire does effect the hand out of vission and what type of personality will get the vission. So this can be said that Electro vision holder of old (Makoto era) will not have the same personality as electro vission holder of the current ere (Ei era) Since their ideal is different Makoto = transient Ei = eternity
From my perspective I think its just the nature of things, the nature of the elements I guess. Like the archons didn't hand out visions but the source did....similar overall ambitions. I don't know.
Maybe it’s because the element itself has a concept, which may be different from it’s archon’s ideal? Like the concept of Pyro is Passion while the ideal of Murata is War
I believe that it is Celestia who is handing out visions, and that Celestia follows the ideal of the archon, not how the archon themselves follows it, but rather based on the ideals of the holders and how it relates to the ideal they may be chosen for. Secondly, unlike fredrerik rana, I believe that this includes the ideals of the prior archons as well, like how Keqing and Beidou seem to represent transience more than they do eternity.
You know Hydro as an element really does represent the concept of Justice quite well. The definition of Justice is fluid and changes from person to person, it may appear fickle and harmless at times however it is still a mighty force that does not discriminate or let those who have been 'unjust' off so easily be it an enemy or allies. Is this why cleansing with hydro is kinda annoying? Especially with Electro and Cryo lol.
To me all the allogens of an element DO HAVE some personality element or worldview close to the deity or linked to their element, but it's not really about what that god is. Hydro is not Justice, Geo is not Contracts, Electro is not Eternity. These are how they work for me: Anemo is about expression, wanting to have others experience the beauty you see in the world. Geo is about determination, having very strict and immovable ideals, a defined and clear path. Electro is about idealization, seeing the potential in the world and working on realizing it. Dendro might be about adaptation, taking in what's around you and working with it however you can. Hydro is about improvement, being the best you can be, either for yourself or for others. Pyro is about passion, about following what you love and even sharing it with others. Cryo is about redemption, working on your past regrets, your errors, and working on making up for them.
I agree with most except Cryo. Chongyun and Diona don't need to be redeemed. Qiqi and Ganyu don't necessarily fit that either. I think Cryo is about resilience moreso than redemption.
@@thiefpotato2759 It's not really redemption but making up for a fault of theirs: Diona's regret and what she makes up for is her father's alcoholism, Chongyun's regret is her innate energy that dispels spirits and makes him unable to be a real exorcist. Qiqi's regret is dying so young, and Ganyu's is being disconnected from both Adepti and humans.
I’m pretty sure that when granted a vision, it doesn’t have any relation with its default goal Aka freedom for anemo, justice for hydro, etc… If I had to guess, this would be the values by which people are granted a vision: Pyro: justice and determination (Diluc, as u said has a great sense of justice; yanfei is a lawyer, Xiangling has a great determination on making the best dishes, etc.) Hydro: knowledge (Xingqiu is very versed in books, as Mona is with astrology, Barbara with nursing, childe with martial arts, etc.) Anemo: loyalty/commitment (Xiao is tied to his contract with Rex lapis; Jean is everything but free, since her responsibilities as acting grand master demands her complete attention, Sucrose has a great loyalty to albedo besides being really committed to be greatly versed in alchemy, etc.) Geo: ambition (Noelle has a great ambition in becoming a knight of favonius, Albedo won’t stop until he knows each and every secret of the universe, ningguang has an economic ambition since she won’t stop even after being the richest, etc.) Cryo: resilience (Rosaria’s backstory really shows her great inner strength, Qiqi literally revived after dying in the archons war, Chongyun won’t stop practicing his family’s profession although he has never been able to exorcist properly, etc.) Electro: transcendence (every electro vision haver has a distorted attachment to the mortal realm; fishl lives in a fantasy, Lisa just vibes as if nothing mattered just waiting for her dead, Razor acts like a wolf when being a human, the Shogun lives literally inside her sword apart from reality, etc.) And honestly I have no idea with dendro
The Hydro one can be said for other characters too though. Xiangling is well versed in cooking, Yanfei in Law, and lots of others in fighting. And I think the Geo one can also be said for others since in Inazuma they said a vision represents their ambition. I am still not sure about Electro since Beidou, Keqing, and Kujou Sara doesn’t really match it but the others do. The Anemo one fits Kazuha and kinda fits Sayu though. Cryo one works for a lot of Cryo characters like Diona and maybe Ganyu too. Not sure about Ayaka and Kaeya (does being cavalry captain when there’s no cavalry count? Or maybe trying to get along with Diluc again?) . I’m still confused about how characters get their visions
Always been interested in the hydro concept of justice. Thank you so much for the discussion about how justice preserve in each of the hydro characters, it was very interesting to watch!
i absolutely love the concept of this series?? adored the first one and i'll probably like this one as well :] im really looking forward to seeing the pyro one - seeing your take on it would be really interesting imo !!
So a quick theory before I actually watch the video, I'll probably edit my comment after I watched the video, but I was thinking through this same thing but regarding electro visions and I really couldn't find many connections, especially regarding eternity in Keqing and Beidou, but I could find connections in transience. Keqing's main political ideology is wanting to transcend the gods, and not allow them to decide her fate, and Beidou transcended the need for a vision by striking down Haishan without one. I currently believe that each of the elements except geo and anemo have multiple ideals, as there has been multiple archons. Now I will proceed to watch the video and give my thoughts after I have watched it. Edit: After watching the video, if I were to stick to my theory before, I believe that the former Hydro Archon's ideal most likely had to do with something like destiny. I went back and I looked through the hydro vision users stories that I didn't think the justice was too large of a factor in, notably Kokomi and Mona. I believe Tartaglia, Barbara, and Xinqiu's are done perfectly, but for Mona and Kokomi I just felt as though that justice wasn't too strong. Like said, Kokomi didn't have a choice to become divine priestess or not, it was simply a roll given to her, that she only knew to receive with a smile and a hope that everyone may lead happy lives. In her "Vision" character story in particular it says "A leader with a strong will can lead those around them in a clear direction. However, Kokomi lacks such strong ideals. Instead, she respects the will of the people and wishes that they can each find their own way." and the other part I thought brought on something akin to destiny rather than justice would be, "As the Divine Priestess, Kokomi naturally has her own Vision." I believe for Kokomi her hydro vision may be further in line with the previous hydro archon's ideals rather than the current one's, and may serve to be a reverse sort of mirror in the future when we learn more about the current hydro archon. As for Mona, she is the one who made me believe that destiny may be the previous hydro archon's ideals and what I later through further on due to the wishful drops event and in particular something Endora says during it. This line in particular during Mona's Vision story is something that made me believe I may be correct about her as well, "The gods, too, are bound by the rules of this world. Mona seeks the final truth of the world, hidden amidst the sea of stars." As she notes too that not only is she bound by her destiny written by the stars, but the gods are as well, something we know due to the archon's have constellations, and more than likely that the gods of Celestia have constellations too. Also bonus points she has a voice line about her vision being, "When I first received my Vision, the elderly woman that gave it to me, she put on this air and said "May your heart of truth be with you." And yet this thing does nothing for my hydromancy, all it does is get me wet." Which I believe may be her Master believing that it was the ideal of justice which bestowed this onto her, but Mona ignoring that completely. Finally, I will be looking into the character of the previous hydro archon as described in the wishful drop event. Endora's final lines of the event are as followed, "Love, that is our destiny. But I still have a whole world left to see." which only further's my belief that the previous hydro archon is the god of destiny. The lochfolk were basically the worshippers of the previous hydro archon, we also know that they don't get along with the current one, which suggests that the god of justice the prior hydro archon are quite different in terms of personality. Also note that many of the lochfolk straight up are on a self-imposed exile of what seems to be their homeland, Fontaine, because they don't get along with the God of Justice. The previous hydro archon had the lochfolk spread out across teyvat similar to, but not exactly, spies, as they had the goal of simply connecting everyone like water. After the ties in of the wishful drops event, this leads me my final theory about the previous hydro archon, she is the archon representing the ideal of destiny and wishes for everyone to be connected like how their constellations are connected in the sea of stars. Now this part is purely speculation, but given the cataclysm's ties to the story, and given supposed ideal of destiny, she may have gone along with the cataclysm and raised opposition, causing her to not be struck down by Celestia but rather by the current hydro archon, as the God of Justice may have believed that she was bringing justice to the prior archon. This is also somewhat thought of by a different commenter, Connor James Thompson as he theorized that the current Hydro Archon is at least somewhat based off of Maximillen Robespierre. Anyway this concludes my... essay about the current hydro archon vs the prior hydro archon, and how ideals, like archons, may not properly die, especially in the eyes of Celestia. Please, tell me any thoughts you the reader may have in the comments below.
🌸🌹It must be confessed that I usually skim through uploads and rely upon the contents of the comments to get the gist of what happened, but your titles truly compel one to gaze until the end (which I do)🌹🌸
for me the thing hydro characters seemed to share was their pursuit of some kind of mastery and dedication to reaching the mastery of said thing . for childe mastery of combat. xingqiu the mastery of the guhua art. mona the mastery of astrology. kokomi the mastery of strategy and planning. and for Barbara the mastery of positivity ? being an Idol ? not 100% sure on that last one.
This video’s really insightful as a means of reducing the ideal of justice and all the connotations it carries with it into a simple concept that can be applied across many different characters :) I think there’s difficulty in differentiating hydro’s ideal of justice from geo’s ideal of contracts, since both are associated with law and duty Personally, it was when I started looking at hydro specifically in the context of Mona’s character that I was able to cook up my own little theory: I think the developers made a really interesting choice in connecting hydro with astrology, and I think that detail is a really important clue into seeing justice not as a human based system of laws but as some sort of grand cosmic order- from what I can tell about all the hydro characters so far is they see the world as operating in a very specific way, and they see themselves as a sort of cog in that machine (whether it be a nun performing her god’s will or a boy living his trope guided adventure story) So my theory is that justice is the objective impartial will of the universe and hydro visions revolve around the maintenance and upholding of that structure
That was a cool analysis! Hadn't really thought of the Hydros specifically in terms of justice before...I can see where you're coming from. I am feeling the theory right now (until further notice) that the Vision wielders resonant with the ideals of the archon implicitly, and that's how it works-that is, knowing that the archons don't actively give Visions, but it seems like it stems from them nonetheless. So yeah, it seems like kind of a fun exercise to guess what the future archons will be like just based on the allogenes. Although everyone is still very individual, for sure. But yeah, thoughts...I am feeling this idea that the Hydros could have a common trait of making their own "justice" in a way, forging their own ideals. They tend to very knowledgeable in their own ways. I remember noticing before that they also tend to run counter to their family/destined role, with maybe the exception of Mona since we don't have much backstory on her from before she was a student. So yeah, Barbara is from a prominent noble family of knights but couldn't live up to that skill set so she follows her father into the church instead, but still she seems to have made a personal name for herself. Ajax ran away from home because he was restless. Kokomi is a priestess, a theocratic leader, but her passion lies with the role she takes as a war general/strategist. And, Xingqiu is from a family of merchants but dreams of being a martial artist adventurer swordsman writer. So yeah, just found that interesting! Just to add to the "finding their own ideals and sticking with it" kind of thing. They're sort of the opposite of the Pyros in that way, who usually inherit their passion from a family member. And hey while I'm at it might as well note the possible negative-ish side of their ways-they strike me as...try-hards, you could say? Though this isn't exclusive to the Hydros or anything, they really do tend to put up a big show of confidence to mask their insecurities. Kokomi acting the bold and charismatic leader despite being perpetually exhausted and also definitely an introvert, Mona refusing assistance even though she is broke and also starving, etc. So like, a lot of admirable qualities to these guys, but there's a downside too. I don't know, it's just fun to theorize about. The Visions as a power system is a part of the lore I do certainly enjoy. So yeah, thanks again for the video!
I think it would be interesting to look at common thread that is less explicit. I'm thinking for hydro it would be there is the common thread of art. Kokomi practices the art of war and Tartaglia practices the art of combat if we are talking about the less obvious ones, with more clear ones being xinqiu with literature and Barbara with singing. Honestly I see more justice in geo considering that many of the hangout quests with get characters show the sense of justice within many of the get characters.
i always thought of this but i also noticed how electro is kinda the opposite, by that i mean they go against the order of life/humanity, like razor being a human raised by wolves, scaramouche being a non organic object with life, and worst of all the shogun, by hiding her identity and creating scaramouche then abandoning him she has not only lied to her people but also forsaken what is basically her child. BUT HEY THATS JUST A THEORY A-GA*gunshot*
I took a vision test and I got hydro. I feel like it was actually really on spot. I am very opinionated and have strong values of what is right and wrong. And very passionate and defend my ideals :o also I really like helping people :D
I did three different Vision tests, and they all came out different: Electro, Hydro, and Cryo. Hydro was from HoyoLab, so I guess that's the closest, but until Dendro releases, I guess it's subject to fluctuation...? [EDIT: although... Cryo description fit me more...? An analyst and tactician...]
I feel after 2 yrs of play, Ive cracked the vision code. It's not in full agreement with this theory, but it doesn't contradict it either: Anemo visions are the trickiest to acquire. An anemo holder is a person who has a very lofty goal, perhaps one they may never achieve. Something they have sworn an oath to. Realistic goal or not, they'll follow their heart and strive for it all the same. Some may die trying! Once they've committed their whole self to that goal, the anemo vision appears. Whether that be to protect humanity (as an adeptus or a mortal), honour a loved one's memory or family name, become a genius alchemist despite constant failure, live a poor but noble life or maybe just grow TALL. Alternatively, maybe you've an incredible passion for something like adventuring, fireworks, fishblasting, cooking, your undertaker job or being a superhero at night? Pyro! Do you lead an unusual way of life outside the social norms? Don't fit in? Cant get along with most people, rub them the wrong way? Think you're a wolf or a princess from another land? Go against the grain? Pick fights with gods and argue with adeptus? Electro for you. Are you the victim of unusual circumstances? Cursed? Blessed? Immortal? Orphaned princess or heir? A zombie? Then you're cryo. Maybe you have a rare and unique talent or an incredibly unusual skill, trait or interest that few others ever master? Maybe you're the first person to ever tread your path? (want to be the first ever idol?). You've got born talent and then trained hard in a way normal people cant fathom. You are the 1 in a million! Then you're a hydro vision holder. Loyal, committed, devoted, steadfast and driven? Enjoy your geo vision. These are just my conclusions. But so far, the patterns fit! Can you think of any that dont?
Very nicely made and very articulate, im so glad somebody is doing my boy Tartaglia some justice :,) Can you do electro next? it is the only element that i dont think its clearly represented what character trait its supposed to signify, at least compared to something like anemo or pyro.
I really enjoy your hydro and anemo videos, I can't wait for an electro and cryo video🤗 question though, would you be including dendro??? Even though Baizhu is literally the only dendro character but it non playable, I'm sure dendro has the concept of wisdom/knowledge🤔
I love that you're doing this as a series now! I've for awhile nailed down that visions have to do with personalities ever since 1.5 or so but I never saw it got covered on how they relate!
I feel that the gods don’t necessarily represent their elements in a way. Similar to how there are many different Gods in Teyvat (god of salt, god of dust etc.) I think that the surviving gods of the Archon war are just coincidentally named that way. Like Zhongli, who happened to be the god of contracts, just bodied everyone and became the geo archon. And how Venti took over the role of Archon from Decarabian (and I doubt he was whole into this “freedom” thing.) Personally I don’t think there are any concrete answers right now. The way visions are given out right now are totally out of whack, like how Qiqi who wanted to live forever, would be the most likely candidate for an electro vision right? Instead she received a Cryo one. Similarly to that, people think the condition to have an anemo vision is having a friend pass away, but neither Sucrose nor Sayu have such tragic stories I believe. It could definitely related to having a strong will but people like Klee have a vision? Visions do definitely have a strong relation to an ambition/goal in life but I don’t think it’s been explored enough yet.
This is just a speculation but I think that the given element is actually related to their ideals. I think:- Pyro = Passion for their ideals Cryo = Conviction for their ideals Electro = Isolation due to their ideals Hydro = Obsession towards their ideals Geo = Dedication/Devotion for their ideals Anemo = { IDK } Dendro = { IDK }
That makes sense. I have a theory for Pyro (The concept of passion). Amber: Flight Diluc: Conviction? Bennett: Adventures Xinyan: Music Xiangling: Cookery Yanfei: Legality Hu Tao: Underworld Yoimiya: Excitement (Fireworks) Thoma: Subordination?
True, but you can actually say that all Inazuma clans follow this set of values. Take for example of Kujou Sara, when she discovered about her adopted father's plot with the Fatui, she said he is contradicting what the clan supposed to do (righteousness and loyalty). So that's why I wouldn't say righteousness or loyalty, but instead Subordination. If you listen through Kujou Sara's voice-over regarding Thoma, you know even she has respect for him. That's when you know Thoma's a true subordinate rather than a half-half which could cause me to disqualify the morals he holds.
I don't his passion is subordination though... he is a monstater/oulander who kind of sweet talked his way to the position he is now. I don't think his sweet talking is manipulative though (like kaeya or childe's ) I think it's more genuine. Maybe it was like that in the beginning so he could live an ok life as an outlander but then he realized he actually enjoyed being kind. I think it would be better to say that he is passionate about helping or even protecting others.
Now that you mention it, maybe Thoma's could either be assistance as well (Presumably that the values and morals of concepts never repeat). So yeah, Thoma's is either passion of subordination or assistance.
God I want to make out with people who think about character lore and philosophy of genshin. Like I was shaking when the video started. I was that happy a video like this exist
There’s a lot of opinions going on about Cryo, being it redemption or resilience, but I think that the thing common between Cryo vision holders is loneliness. They are (or were, at the time they got their vision) alone in their life and/or endeavors, from Qiqi to Kaya to Eula. They are outlanders in some way. Even if they are loved and accepted like Diona and Ayaka, they are the only ones facing their ambition or duty. Of course, there are other characters, who are eccentric like Hutao or love the solitude like Kazuha, they don’t have a similar “me vs the world” subtext.
I have this thought where both the Hydro and Pyro archon have the knight pieces. Also, notice how each of the statues of the seven currently in the game looks similar to what their gnosis is? Venti's pose looks like a queen piece, zhongli sitting looks like a rook, and ei sorta looks like a vishop (idk about this one tho). So applying this theory, if we look at the statue from ToT, Themis resembles a knight piece from her silhouette.
If you also take Reference from the Zodiac, notably the 3 Water signs, which are known for emotional Integrity and healing Each Water sign Adopts a Mode: Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable Cardinal: Initiator, Cancer Fixed: Maintainer, Scorpio Mutable: Adapters, Pisces The Water signs have a huge emphasis on morals, they bring Justice in a way of emotionally healing others around them. Cancer brings Sincerity and Kindness to those who have suffered. Scorpio brings Loyalty and Security to those who have been betrayed. Pisces brings Trust and Love to those who have been discriminated.
In my head element has an archons point of view (justice, war, freedom) and then there are things that make up the vision holders views , like cryo is about love too qiqis love for live, eulas lack of love, ayaka :|. Then there is electro and the idea of dreams and dreaming.
as a astrologer[like fr] ,the concept of justice and astrology is not to far off, astrology is used to judge yourself trought symbolism you have in ur life,ur good sides as well as ur dark sides, there is no escape really,it all falls down to on what you do with that information.
Oh god, I just came here from Ashikai's video on Teyvat's world stricture. I always wonder what the hell water has anything to do with astrology, but I think something clicked in my head. Mone says "Hydromancy is the one and only means of discerning people's true destiny in all of Teyvat". What if that's because, just as Ashikai said, the world IS a biodome surrounded by water, and the stars are right there, "glued" to the ceiling?
Man, I love the in depth analysis. If I may? I been getting into the Marvel comics again (Spidey, hulk, Venom, and Miles Morales), and, I've always wanted to get Peter Parker and/Or Miles Morales in Genshin. So my question to U is, if the spidey bois (Peter parker, Miles Morales, Kaine Parker, or Miguel o Hara) were to make an "impact" in teyvat, what vision would they get? Let's also ignore visions not being granted to aliens/ the spider god destroying Kaines vision if he got 1.
Huh so its basically geo visions but instead of dedication to a duty its dedication to what the vision holder think is the moral thing to do, thanks for making a video I've been so confused on how hydro visions are handed lol
Do this for every element pleasseee (asides from Dendro since they got no existence in the game). But like, I really wanna know the connections of Cryo and Pyro Visions
I just wanted to correct something. Tartaglia never wanted to destroy Liyue and summom Osial, he only did it for the Tsaritsa. He never liked the idea. It was literally a mistranslation, which recently got fixed. The poor guy can't catch a break with mistranslations. New version Childe: I had hoped it would never come to this, for the weak will be swept away in the process. Childe: The truth is, the world belongs to those who pursue strength. I seldom willingly involve myself with the weak. Childe: Unfortunately, we cannot be picky about our methods as Fatui Harbingers. Children must all learn to eat their vegetables sometime. Old version Childe: I had hoped it would never come to this. I absolutely detest working with those who are weaker than I. The truth is, the world belongs to those of us who desire to become strong. I seldom willingly mingle with any dull and boring weaklings who think otherwise.
This is my personal opinion, but I don't think the characters who have visions are meant to embody what the archon represents. And given enough explanation and stretching of ideals, you could say any character embodies any archon's ideals. For Example: you (could) say Xiao represents eternity in the form of his resolve to preserve Liyue's prosperity and well being even when not under a contract, or Tartaglia's freedom to enjoy the art of combat is the embodiment of the Anemo Archon's ideal. If you seriously consider every archon's way of life, a lot of characters don't fit their vision's originator more than others, but rather the point in which they got their vision is when they experience a defining moment in their lives while being the most passionate about their ambitions in a way that define what vision they get. The pyro vision in general is why I think this entire judging of visions is completely wrong, Archons may have their ideals but that doesn't mean the characters they choose embody them. How many Pyro characters exist in the game and how many of them fit almost perfectly with the ideal of War and Battle? Xiangling? Bennet? Yanfei? Diluc? If Xiangling was Hydro would she be (protecting) her cooking heritage? If Bennet was Electro would his preservation of others be his version of eternity? If Diluc was Cryo would he have a love for his family and friends that would that be the reason he toughened himself to keep them safe? ^ Short Question: If a diligent and ingenuitive chef has Pyro, why can't a Integrous and Hotheaded police officer have electro and and just leave it at that?

If the Gnosis of the Hydro Archon is a knight, it would make sense considering a knight’s ideology would resonate well with the concept of justice which Hydro represents. Also I had a theory abt the Hydro Archon that I’ve been thinking off:
Theory: The Hydro Archon is Teyvat's Maximilien Robespierre
I saw a post recently that pointed out that all the max level gemstones contained quotes from their respective element's Archon.
As for my thoughts on the theories about how the Traveler plays into this chess based scenario;
They're not a traditional chess piece or even a piece at all. They're somewhat of a 3rd party walking in on a game of chess, and this particular game has been going on for far longer than the Traveler has even been in Teyvat.
As the loading screen mentions:
"Teyvat has its own Laws"
This makes the Traveler a true wildcard in this scenario precisely because they're not a pawn or any other piece on the board.
Barbara has the art of song
Mona has the art of astrology
Xingqiu has martial arts
Childe has the art of combat
Kokomi has the art of strategy
Ayato has the art of politics
Yelan has the art of secrecy (or at least i believe so since this is pre-yelan release)
Update:
Nilou has the art of dance
Candace has the art of self defense I assume? Something related to battle!
and Fontaine being the land that is most advanced and known for their arts, it isn’t too surprising that they all happened to be associated with justices and arts.
Ayato a skilled politician
Yelan a skilled "spy" , maybe from the secret police of liyue ? I don't know enough about her.
That would make sense with Nilou as well
Nilou is advanced in the art of dancing
im expecting the hydro archon to have a knights chess piece since the ideology of a knight resonates to the concept of justice
and would go along pretty well with the france inspired theme, but since Fontaine is also steampunk maybe it will be more modern
I think geo characters have the trait of resilience. Each one of the geo characters have worked hard and were very resilient towards their ambitions. They’ve made a contract to themselves to work towards their ambitions.
Oh yeah, that makes sense
I like to think more that geo characters deeply hold respect for a certain value/contract, like itto with the code of the oni, noelle with the knighthood code, and albedo with the code of humanity (because he is not one)
@@lilliarunebell609 In other words, Geo is the Concept of Creed?

Yes
Tartaglia is definitely one of the best written characters in all of genshin
he is selfish remember when he summon osial in liyue,i hate him.
I feel that most Hydro characters fit around the theme of Judgement.
Barbara - Judgement against an idol (though it could be against her sister)
Mona - Judgement of her talents (astrology)
Childe - Judgement of his combat abilities
Xingqui - Judgement of his affluence (he's negatively spoken of in public, considered a shut-in, etc...)
Kokomi - Judgement as the last priestess
Ayato (speculation) - Judgement as the head of the clan
Just personal thoughts, though I don't know how the theme of judgement fits into how they earn their visions.
I personallythink shes the god of contradiction or inner conflict. Each cryo character has some kind of inner turmoil.
My interpretation of her ideal is rebellion/revelotion
@I will eat your children she was the god of love but we dont know if thats still the case
"The wait is over comrades!"
Sun Tzu - The Art Of War
“The food is ready comrades!”
Xiangling - The Art Of Food
Also Hydro characters have one thing in common: Theyre all someone well-known/ famous. They all have aspects about them that makes them "entertaining".
A concept I realized all hydro characters have is, sacrifice. For justice, you must sacrifice one side for the other and wise versa. Sacrifice is in the stories of every hydro character.
-Ayato sacrifices his childhood to create a better future for the kamisato clan
-Kokomi sacrifices her dreams of becoming a war consultant to lead watatsumi island
-Childe sacrifices being with his family for the tsaritsa
-Mona sacrifices material desires for astrology
-Xingqiu sacrifices his personal desires for his family's legacy
-Barbara sacrifices her individuality and personal life to make monstadters happy
All hydro characters have a theme of making a sacrifice for the sake of something they consider more important than themselves. Even with Yelan, we can expect she sacrifices her work being seem by the public for the sake of Liuye's people
I'm so excited for Fontaine, the archon would be so cool!

So I don't know how to disscribe it
Geo, is I think discipline.
Barbara, the God of Duty
Ajax, the God of Protection
Kokomi, the God of Authority
Xingqiu, the God of Chivalry
It's interesting to consider what a society created by them would look like.
So if we accept that archons are not the ones who hand out vision as Ei claims, why would people who hold certain type of visions have similarities with the archon of their element?
I think that, while the archon does not hand out vission.
The archon subconscious desire does effect the hand out of vission and what type of personality will get the vission.
So this can be said that Electro vision holder of old (Makoto era) will not have the same personality as electro vission holder of the current ere (Ei era)
Since their ideal is different
Makoto = transient
Ei = eternity
Baal also says that “there’s another side to it too” or something
Yay I get to sleep too Aster talking. What a treat!
This is why I love Kaeya pfps
:Stabs Childe: Give. Me. That. Billet : Stabbing him with each word:
These are how they work for me:
Anemo is about expression, wanting to have others experience the beauty you see in the world.
I really dig that! Specially hydro and cryo, very well thought!!!

"Facts don't care about your feelings "
The god of justice must be an author/storyteller ig.
I’m pretty sure that when granted a vision, it doesn’t have any relation with its default goal Aka freedom for anemo, justice for hydro, etc…
If I had to guess, this would be the values by which people are granted a vision:
Pyro: justice and determination (Diluc, as u said has a great sense of justice; yanfei is a lawyer, Xiangling has a great determination on making the best dishes, etc.)
Hydro: knowledge (Xingqiu is very versed in books, as Mona is with astrology, Barbara with nursing, childe with martial arts, etc.)
Anemo: loyalty/commitment (Xiao is tied to his contract with Rex lapis; Jean is everything but free, since her responsibilities as acting grand master demands her complete attention, Sucrose has a great loyalty to albedo besides being really committed to be greatly versed in alchemy, etc.)
Geo: ambition (Noelle has a great ambition in becoming a knight of favonius, Albedo won’t stop until he knows each and every secret of the universe, ningguang has an economic ambition since she won’t stop even after being the richest, etc.)
Cryo: resilience (Rosaria’s backstory really shows her great inner strength, Qiqi literally revived after dying in the archons war, Chongyun won’t stop practicing his family’s profession although he has never been able to exorcist properly, etc.)
Electro: transcendence (every electro vision haver has a distorted attachment to the mortal realm; fishl lives in a fantasy, Lisa just vibes as if nothing mattered just waiting for her dead, Razor acts like a wolf when being a human, the Shogun lives literally inside her sword apart from reality, etc.)
And honestly I have no idea with dendro
Listening to the section with Mona just keep in mind that if you think of her astrology as the wish system in game it really hits different.
🌸🌹It must be confessed that I usually skim through uploads and rely upon the contents of the comments to get the gist of what happened, but your titles truly compel one to gaze until the end (which I do)🌹🌸
These videos made me wonder... What would *your* Vision be?
I can't wait for the next element. Keep it up!
for me the thing hydro characters seemed to share was their pursuit of some kind of mastery and dedication to reaching the mastery of said thing .
for childe mastery of combat.
xingqiu the mastery of the guhua art.
mona the mastery of astrology.
kokomi the mastery of strategy and planning.
and for Barbara the mastery of positivity ? being an Idol ? not 100% sure on that last one.
Loving these concept of "insert archon ideal" videos
This video’s really insightful as a means of reducing the ideal of justice and all the connotations it carries with it into a simple concept that can be applied across many different characters :) I think there’s difficulty in differentiating hydro’s ideal of justice from geo’s ideal of contracts, since both are associated with law and duty
Personally, it was when I started looking at hydro specifically in the context of Mona’s character that I was able to cook up my own little theory:
I think the developers made a really interesting choice in connecting hydro with astrology, and I think that detail is a really important clue into seeing justice not as a human based system of laws but as some sort of grand cosmic order- from what I can tell about all the hydro characters so far is they see the world as operating in a very specific way, and they see themselves as a sort of cog in that machine (whether it be a nun performing her god’s will or a boy living his trope guided adventure story) So my theory is that justice is the objective impartial will of the universe and hydro visions revolve around the maintenance and upholding of that structure
I never imagined I'd drown this deep into a game's lore
I mean if it’s a Mihoyo game, you know the lore is gonna be deep and references can be found

Xingqiu: For Justice!
14:10 "the laws are constantly changing" saying that line makes me believe yanfei will pop up in Fontaine when we finally get there
Nice ! I personally cannot wait for electro lol but take your time : )
Loving this video solely because I’m in love with the Hydro element and Fontaine is a region I’m most looking forward to 💙
I think it would be interesting to look at common thread that is less explicit.
Aster I swear I’ll watch this later, my internet hurts me right now
i always thought of this but i also noticed how electro is kinda the opposite, by that i mean they go against the order of life/humanity, like razor being a human raised by wolves, scaramouche being a non organic object with life, and worst of all the shogun, by hiding her identity and creating scaramouche then abandoning him she has not only lied to her people but also forsaken what is basically her child.
I took 4 vision test and got Hydro 3 times (the other one being Anemo)
I feel after 2 yrs of play, Ive cracked the vision code. It's not in full agreement with this theory, but it doesn't contradict it either:
Anemo visions are the trickiest to acquire.

Yo the Persona OST slaps hard and It fits like a glove in your videos
I love that you're doing this as a series now! I've for awhile nailed down that visions have to do with personalities ever since 1.5 or so but I never saw it got covered on how they relate!
Hey I made a comment essay talking about this XD
Good video, Genshin lore always gives me happy fluffy feelings
I feel that the gods don’t necessarily represent their elements in a way. Similar to how there are many different Gods in Teyvat (god of salt, god of dust etc.) I think that the surviving gods of the Archon war are just coincidentally named that way. Like Zhongli, who happened to be the god of contracts, just bodied everyone and became the geo archon. And how Venti took over the role of Archon from Decarabian (and I doubt he was whole into this “freedom” thing.)
Personally I don’t think there are any concrete answers right now.
I think the hydro archon will be a tsundere royal goth girl I’m so excited 🤩🤩
Nice to see Hydro get some love in these types of videos :D
This is just a speculation but I think that the given element is actually related to their ideals.
I think:-
Pyro = Passion for their ideals
Cryo = Conviction for their ideals
Electro = Isolation due to their ideals
Hydro = Obsession towards their ideals
Geo = Dedication/Devotion for their ideals
Anemo = { IDK }
Dendro = { IDK }
Anemo could be expansion of their ideals, and Dendro can be Understanding of their ideals
A pdf on why I have wrote these assumptions for the characters are here. drive.google.com/file/d/1G8Nv7eaYssoSs28ZsTTkN6UkVO-TlM0W/view?usp=drivesdk
Anemo = Freedom to choose, pursue or fight for their ideals.
Really? I wouldve thought cryo would have the theme of just-ice
I'll see myself out
That makes sense. I have a theory for Pyro (The concept of passion).
Amber: Flight
Diluc: Conviction?
Bennett: Adventures
Xinyan: Music
Xiangling: Cookery
Yanfei: Legality
Hu Tao: Underworld
Yoimiya: Excitement (Fireworks)
Thoma: Subordination?
Thoma got his vision when he resolved to always be a man of righteousness and loyalty.
Is this gonna become a full series? I’m all in.
Of course, there are other characters, who are eccentric like Hutao or love the solitude like Kazuha, they don’t have a similar “me vs the world” subtext.
very nice analysis looking 4ward 2
geo and the concept of contracts
i love this series! Please do electro >< im always curious about it
I have this thought where both the Hydro and Pyro archon have the knight pieces.

Each Water sign Adopts a Mode: Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable
Cardinal: Initiator, Cancer
Fixed: Maintainer, Scorpio
Mutable: Adapters, Pisces
The Water signs have a huge emphasis on morals, they bring Justice in a way of emotionally healing others around them.
Cancer brings Sincerity and Kindness to those who have suffered.
Scorpio brings Loyalty and Security to those who have been betrayed.
Pisces brings Trust and Love to those who have been discriminated.

My favorite element ❤️❤️ it’s also the element I strongly relate to. My entire values are shared with the values of hydro
What?! Persona and Tartaglia in the same video?! WHAT THE YES YES YES
Do cryo. Expose their deep-rooted family issues.

Beautiful video !
Well now I know what vision the Emiya's would get if they existed in genshin
New version
Childe: I had hoped it would never come to this, for the weak will be swept away in the process.
Childe: The truth is, the world belongs to those who pursue strength. I seldom willingly involve myself with the weak.
Childe: Unfortunately, we cannot be picky about our methods as Fatui Harbingers. Children must all learn to eat their vegetables sometime.
Old version
Childe: I had hoped it would never come to this. I absolutely detest working with those who are weaker than I. The truth is, the world belongs to those of us who desire to become strong. I seldom willingly mingle with any dull and boring weaklings who think otherwise.
Can't wait for the cryo Episode of this series
This video is fucking gorgeous
AAAA NOW SOME PEOPLE KNOW WHAT ELEMENT THEY WILL LIKELY HAVE
