The plothole is that how did Foscalor know the timing of the prophecy? Why couldnt the flood happen much sooner? Like within year 1 instead of 500th year?
Unless she knew about the narwhal and how long it would take to devour the primordial waters, i don't think she knew how long it would take for the prophecy to be fulfilled, which is why she planned everything and put all the necessaries in place from the very outset so at any point the prophecy chose to cone thru, she would've been accumulating energy, furina would've always been acting and neuvillette would've always been iudex. Just that without enough energy the suicide wouldn't work but her plan was just that there was no guarantee for it to work but she was sure the prophecy would come thru so yh idk if they helped
@paulcollins4538 my theory is that she does not know. That's why she created the sluce gate and had Furina be her body double.
I think the prophecy happens when the conditions are met. (Furina tried by her own people.)
As to why Celestia was so convoluted and not simply drop a Divine Nail? I do not know.
@@yharnamiyhill787well i feel that since egeria was created by one of the shades maybe they felt to not kill her and her people morever she was the heart of primo water so they kept her there
either girl knew earlier how? maybe istaroth helped her its already shown that that time god helps people of tevyat so either she asked help or it was just a pure coincidence that everything matched perfectly
I think Foscalors didn’t know, but she may have knew that once the primordial sea starts acting up (such as in Poisson), the people’s anger for their archon will start to boil (especially for one not doing anything). This could eventually result in putting their archon on trial, in which all Foscalors would need to do is sentence out the death sentence for herself. If what I think is correct, Focalors really was putting all her faith in Furina to play out her role perfectly

I like Fontaine the most because the underwater experience is fun, easy to explore and the hydro archon is fully detailed, Egeria makes humans, she dies and one of her humans take her place and schemes to deceive the Divine. Rhukadevata or Buer as a character isn’t fully explained, like she’s a tree? Raiden Ei or Beelzebub motivations and plans weren’t really explained like her whole friend group died and now is stealing jewelry? Zhongli/Morax, and Venti/Barbatos have a whole story book of information but we know they’re hiding something so they get a pass.
Nahida and rulkkha re fully explained, but ot's locked behind several lengthy world quests and texts
@@plantmomindistress3420 I’m not going through all those world quests 😒, like it doesn’t help that Sumeru is like 2 to 3 whole nations together which is a pain to explore. Monstadt is small, Liyue is an alright one, Inazuma are just islands with crevices, while Fontaine is Sea world.

Very helpful video, thanks for breaking it down. I'm still a bit confused about a few things though if anyone knows:
*. Why did the waters rise? The Narwhal was in the Primordial devouring the jank for a long time, and that is what was causing the water to rise? Then when the whale is defeated, the waters suddenly go bananas and rise enough to consume all of Fontaine. Also, why did the water recede so quickly? Was it because of the cliff on the east side of Fontaine in which all the water just drained off?
*. Since the plan was to save up enough power to destroy the hydro throne, why didn't Focalors activate her plan earlier? Ah, would that be because the prophecy needed to be fulfilled in order to fool the Heavenly Principles? I suppose that makes sense, nvm lxD
As we know the narwhale is the cause of the rising water. During the fight, the water in fontaine was probably already going bananas. After we defeated the whale, the water started receding after a little while
Not entirely sure but i think the waters rose because it was sealed and so with the narwhal running amuck and trying to escape to eat the fontainians the pressure probably caused the remaining waters to escape then when the narwhal got defeated the waters rose. The waters receeded quickly (if I'm not mistaken) due to a drainage system paimon mentioned. Focalors plan wasn't enacted earlier because she needed the prophecy to be fulfilled and also her plan was sorta automatic in the sense that she planned everything from the beginning so things would play out naturally so at any point, furina would still be acting and neuvillette would be iudex. The only part i guess she didn't plan on was childe being there to buy a little time and the traveler to help defeat the narwhal. What I'm wondering tho is if she knew about the narwhal from the very beginning
It was basically a flash flood after it "died", Neuvillette did say this before after all, even if they could defeat the narwhal it was still too late since it was practically merged with the sea itself, it absorbed too much of the primordial sea and so when it fought Neuvillette, it released to much power which caused the flash flood. Tho now it doesn't matter much since focalors already solved the main issue of them dissolving

Now this leaves like a ton of questions about Celestia, like are they even caring? I don’t think the destruction of the hydro throne was part of their plan with the prophecy, as the “Hydro archon” is suppose to be present or alive and crying over her people’s death. But Focalor destroyed the throne to gave Neuvi his powers back, a sovereign which is one of Celestia’s or the Promodial One’s toughest enemies, wouldn’t that suppose to wake them up or are they’re like: “Oh you got a sovereign on your side? Ok that’s cool… *goes back to sleep*”😅

@@naukizan488 we have too little informations for now, according to neuvillette character stories, the primordial one and the second who came together killed the 3rd descender and created the gnosis. This is very confusing since their last mention in the lore was them fighting and causing destruction in the whole continent and now suddenly they're working together??? Unless they had some kind of enemies to lovers situation 😭 well i was already planing to make a video about the descenders, i'll make it one day

But why is the statue of hydro archon still as it is? Isn't it supposed to disappear or be destroyed? Do you think that furina will have a story to become a new Hydro Archon?
furina is part of focalors. so the statue will still be there. and focalors killed the hydro archon position. the focalor we saw in story was the divinity, the godhood, while furina is the human side of focalor, hence while focalors is somewhat dead, shes alive through furina as furina is part of focalors.
Didnt they say that fate cant be changed and if the prophecy stats that people will dissolve how come they didnt even if the hydro dragon forgive them ?

They did explain this, id I'm not mistaken, so the prophecy didn't specifically say the people will "dissolve" just that fontaine would basically drown. Given the circumstances they should've dissolved and so I guess celestia just made that assumption and to fool them, focalors kinda just spread it so everyone will think that's what was supposed to happen. He she let the people know that there was a loophole in the prophecy then she would've have been able to fool the heavenly principles. So the prophecy was wrong, like false info to help fool the people and the principles, it didn't specify the dissolve part just that the hydro archon will be alone weaping on her throne and everyone else gone presumably drowned or in this case dissolved
Wait does that means that Celestia can no longer give hydro visions and the vision that furina got was from neuvillette?
Neuvillette revealed that the archons are actually the ones who give visions. After neuvillette got the hydro authority he can now give hydro visions to people

To be honest, i think the prophecy would've happened with or without the whale, since the whale's presence was a coincidence. Or maybe celestia predicted the future and knew that the whale would be present in fontaine one day or something. Surtalogi gives abyss vibes rather than celestia vibes tbh
@@kim_genshin Considering the All-Devouring Narwhal is supposed to travel between worlds, is increasingly looking like the Abyss is the rest of the universe outside of Teyvat, which is where the Primordial One and the Second Who Came were originally from, is the thing, though.

He gave the Fontainians real blood which turned them into real humans which means the primordial water wont dissolve them anymore
Most importantly, he defeated a whale that is outside teyvat and broke through the fake sky
