    It's a good trimmer, and now that we bought the updated one it's even better. I use it a lot more now and the gas one is on its way out. Thank you all so much for your awesome comments. Please subscribe to our channel if you liked the video. It's 100% free and really helps us out.

      I recently split with my husband and he was the one to restring this trimmer even at the end when we were at odds in the same house. I almost threw the thing away I got so frustrated doing it on my own. Thank you for the tutorial, love your wife at the end!

      this video was very helpful for me. I agree, if you have lots of trimming to do, it is not ideal. But pretty convenient for small yards.

    My husband passed away in March and he was the one that always trimmed and edged. I went to trim in May and the string was at the end. This video made it so easy to figure out how to put new string on easily and now I'm doing it myself. From my heart, thanks so much.

    Even grandmas are super appreciative of this! I had 4 weedeaters in the garage because I had no clue how to change the string, so I would just go buy a new one. So sad! Then my son said, “Mom, everything is on UA-cam!” Next thing you know, this video helped me through it, and I sold three weedeaters! Huge thanks!

    Thanks for the video. The Ryobi instructions weren't all that clear. I actually love this trimmer. It's totally adequate for my yard, and always had difficulty with 2-strokes. My neighbors appreciate it too. So for all you guys out there worried about being seen with such tool, it's not the size that matters, but what it can do.

      Hahaha, so true. Glad it was helpful! Being embarrassed of a trimmer is the least of my worries. 😂 I do agree that it's a great trimmer. We have a LOT that has to be trimmed and the fact the wife will do it with that trimmer makes it an even better trimmer!

    Thank you sooo much!! I’ve been trying to wind it up backwards! As a wife, I love this trimmer as well. It’s lightweight, easy to control, and does the job. Very true about being weak, but hey, it’s become a favorite of mine. I can cut the thicker weeds with my shears after. Thanks again and thanks to your wife for video-ing it! I don’t know what I would do without UA-cam’s “how to” videos.

    Thankyou SO much!!! I lost the instructions. Ran out of the string. Bought some new string and had no clue what I was doing. You made it beyond simple to fit. Thankyou 😊

      I had the same problem. I ended up buying the preloaded ones. More expensive, but less of a headache for me.

      Is the black button where the line is, stuck pressed in...or does it easily go in and out? I'm wondering if that's the problem. Do you constantly power it on and off? That also feeds line each time.

    • @dave4744
      @dave4744 7 років тому +3

      I think I know what the problem is!! I had the same issue so I watch the video again and I realised that after you put the line into the small hole you have to wind the line up in the opposite direction. I went the same direction from the line but than the line comes out by itself ones you operate the trimmer.

    What a great video. My new line trimmer instructions don't tell me that it can be refilled, only to buy the spools that are already threaded. In Australia they are $22 for 3 which works out to be quite expensive. Since my husband has been unwell it is now something I have had to learn to do and these videos are wonderful. Thank You

      Glad it helped. Yeah, I think they write it that way on purpose so you will buy their refills. Those do get very expensive.

    @SeidelRanch. It came time to rethread some new string on. The directions must be written by people who have no clue how to explain or draw simple directions in the manual. So, we resorted to hoping to find good instructions on YT. Your video popped up and it made it so simple to understand. Thank you ! You've saved more than a few people unnecessary stress from poorly written manufactures instructions.

    This is exactly like my Craftsman trimmer that has 2 separate lines wound on the same spool. So I just have to do exactly what you did twice. Very helpful video. Thanks!
