- On August 3rd, 2024 a complex of severe thunderstorms went through Fauquier County, Virginia. The hardest hit location in the county was my hometown, Hume, Virginia. This left multiple of my neighbors cleaning up trees, and even a family lost the roof on their home.

We were there! My mother in law lives in Hume and we are about a mile or two in Markham. It was a tornado from the looks of it..very scary. Glad everyone is ok. We hid in the cellar until it passed.
You missed seeing the roof ripped off of my house when you passed by. That whole day was a nightmare....
was it not the home at 3:05 ? I didn't want to encroach on properties, that's a big nono I have while doing damage surveys.
It sucks that our town had to deal with this, I wish I stayed in Hume and didn't go out to Marshall.
@@Marios_WX3:05 was my house. Portion of the roof on the ground and a tree laying on my truck. Im thankful we weren't injured as myself and my family were in the house when it happened. Honestly, if you had pulled onto the property to see/document it wouldn't have been an issue but I appreciate your no encroachment rule.
@@angyldust1412 I'm glad y'all are alright, I feared the worst when ambulances started rushing into town after the storm.
