btw I don't why I said "Big shelf cloud... spinning" at 3 minutes and 40 seconds in. I kinda just say random shit while chasing when I see stuff, I'm pretty impulsive in nature like that, and I kinda just glazed over that when I was rewatching the footage.
How did a tornado go there
We were there! My mother in law lives in Hume and we are about a mile or two in Markham. It was a tornado from the looks of it..very scary. Glad everyone is ok. We hid in the cellar until it passed.
You missed seeing the roof ripped off of my house when you passed by. That whole day was a nightmare....
was it not the home at 3:05 ? I didn't want to encroach on properties, that's a big nono I have while doing damage surveys. It sucks that our town had to deal with this, I wish I stayed in Hume and didn't go out to Marshall.
@@Marios_WX3:05 was my house. Portion of the roof on the ground and a tree laying on my truck. Im thankful we weren't injured as myself and my family were in the house when it happened. Honestly, if you had pulled onto the property to see/document it wouldn't have been an issue but I appreciate your no encroachment rule.
@@angyldust1412 I'm glad y'all are alright, I feared the worst when ambulances started rushing into town after the storm.
Happiest 100 Sub-Day🥳🥳🥳🤗
Oh my skibbidi
Good music
i thought for a second this would be a mustang spinning out, i was wrong. :)
I went ahead and changed the title to make it more direct that I was specifying the date, I'll try to do this more.
That's not a 2024. Have fun.
I'm well aware this isn't the 2024 mustang model, if you look at how videos are set up on my channel, you'll realize that it's the date.
Total fail. Someone didn't do his research.
I know it's not a 2024, that's the date the video taken.
3/24/2024 Update: Many wildfires across the region have displaced dozens and potentially hundreds of people in WV and VA. This particular fire destroyed a bunch of homes on the mountain. One north of this complex up near Strasburg ripped through Coal Mine Road and destroyed a bunch of homes. Fires on the WV side destroyed many homes on mountains and in valleys. Thankfully little injuries have been reported. 3/22/2024 Update: At-least 5 structures sustained damage, were likely destroyed by the fire and high downsloping winds. It's possible the total is upwards to 20 or 30, but we won't know till heavy rain helps put out the areas still burning tonight.
Hey man, where was this?
The beginning of the video was the Marshall VA area, I chose to go down 66 and towards the end of the video, it was down in the Plains going up to Middleburg.
@@Marios_WX I thought this looked like some of the storms I was after that day too. Im down in Harrisonburg and we were on the tornado warned storms in Rockingham/Augusta county. Good chasing brother
I see too if I'm not mistaken more on velocity than anything else and I noticed they don't do fives as much even one maybe agree that at points of the storm or some other f4 recently coulda done it
at 3:07 should be "died" instead of "did." Simple typo, I'm sure people will find more.
I wish these reporters had better sense about stepping out of the great view of a very important event
Do you have that BR color table link?
Yeah it was very bad for me. My power flickered a few times and my internet was slow as shit for a few hours. I got nearly 0.3in of freezing rain at my house. This event is definitely on the same ranks as the June 2012 derecho and Hurricane Irene.
Good Video!
twitter.com/NWSBirmingham/status/1354240970536185857 This tornado now has been rated EF3; which makes it the first significant tornado of 2021
They should have issued a tornado emergencies because it's an EF3 and Tornado Emergencies only happen when an EF2+ tornado is hitting a large city with tons of people.
I watched this tornado on radar in real time. Watched debri last ball grow huge fast
That thing was one for the books.
I remember the night I was awake for 2 hours tracking the storm. We never took coverage once, but began to plan for it.
This happened VERY close to my housr
Decided to try something new. Expect more to come like this if they are long tracked. It's like a second option
Happened only 2 days ago and already legendary!
What software is this?
GR2 Analyst
Could you share the source for that velocity data? I'm doing a research project and could really use that!
Im using the Storm Relative Velocity product from GR2 Analyst, which is a radar program. The radar data itself is from uploaded data to a program called S3 Browser.
Lol I was 30 mins away from this
This tornado has been rated by NWS of Memphis at 140MPH EF3. Although this is still extremely preliminary, it's likely that it will stay near there. The damage is extremely impressive and I think this skycam footage by KAIT 8 will likely go down in history. Another video : ua-cam.com/video/PleHYqzEKXw/v-deo.html shows synced up videos of this tornado.
This was upgraded to 150MPH EF3 by NWS of Memphis recently.
I love you
I was watching the live stream on KAIT 8 as this happened. I had been watching it on channel 7 out of Little Rock livestream until it left their viewing area. This is a very good example of why you shouldnt discount a storm because the funnel dissipated once like it did before getting to Jonesboro.
KAIT 8 had been on air live since the Tornado Warning was issued in Jackson County. They all did an amazing job that no doubt saved lives. Can not say enough good things about y’all. My go to channel in Stone County Ar. Glad to hear that all the Al Blanks family and Fisher family are safe. God be with you all.
It was rater a EF3 tornado dang
Wow, the meteorologist and news anchor did a good job keeping their wits about them and getting good information out to the public while this was going on. Right out their window next to them. A multi vortex monster.
*Idiots oblivious. Went from nothing to an EF3 or 4 in minutes*
For those wondering, it was an E4
That literally has not been made official. Ryan said his best unqualified guess from the little training he has had is FE3, but that itll be a couple of days before they survey all the damage to know.
Montana Greve it was rated a EF3 tornado
Jonesboro native . yes Arkansas always lives with tornado alley.
Very hard to watch knowing there is nothing anyone can do but duck and cover! So much destruction. ☹️
I watched this LOVE from about 60 miles away. It was wild to see live!
I only live 30 miles from jonesboro. I watched it live....
Man that thing formed quick, hope everyone is ok.
