Thank you so much for your reaction and your 8/10, we know you are hard to please 🤪 But yeah, we like to mix genres and tbh we love techno and edm too, so we wanted to start mixing more of everything we love. That's why our songs are always a bit different between them (Darkbeat chorus is more like j-rock, Oblivion is more melodic and emo...), and we love it that way. Glad to know you also appreciate it! 🥰
I really like the mix of genres, the ending works really well IMO.. love the hectic double bass over the soft melodic EDM, it adds a sort of duality and uneasiness to the situation. I get bored of the metal scene these days but you guys definitely stand out for me :) big love from the UK, keep doing your thing ❤
I see how the ending could be a turnoff. But that style of ethereal pop is so soothing to me, and adding those drums on top of that ethereality to make it absolutely soar to the finish is incredible.
You got any other recommendations for that kind of ethereal pop? That part took me back to being 12 years old lmao I love it so much, kinda sad that noone really makes stuff like that anymore to my knowledge
I discovered this band through a youtube short like 6 months ago and have been upended by them. Yes, they are a metalcore band that is very similar to other metalcore bands. Yes, other metalcore bands blend EDM beats with metal, but this band does it really well. The dance part of "Stereo" makes me want to dance and I'm a 40 year old dude that can't dance to save his life. They're just really good. Their drummer is also insane. I hate saying "for a girl" but you don't see many of them in this genre and she f#cking nails her drum parts. Phenomal group. I can't wait for an LP.

Though I see commented the singer is from the UK, she's based in Tarragona (near Barcelona, Spain) for a looong time, she speaks (and sings sometimes) Spanish with totally local accent, and you'll see her english has a very neutral accent, no UKish. The drummer is Eli Nota, ex-Nervosa, from Brazil and joined the band right before starting this chapter saga... her drumming is awesome.
Eli Nota is actually from Rhodes, Greece and his is actually a her

@@MrHoopski Oh, nice, didn't know that... I assumed she was brazilian since she played in Nervosa, a brazilian band... ;)

@@MrHoopski and yes that "his" slipped away, I'm sorry ... for spanish people english terms as "his" and "her" are the common spanish word "su", we don't distinguish genres on that... so it's a common spaniard mistake when speaking/writing english .. my bad!!
In a recent interview with @TauriReacts, Jessie said she was born in the UK, but her family moved to Spain when she was 3 years old, so she mostly grew up in Spain
Wondering if you've given this song a listen a few more times since making the video? I had the same feeling the very first listen but after a few times, I have to say the autotune section has become one of my favorite additions to a song of this genre in a very very long time.
Same! At the first listening, the last section intrigued me... Now i consider it was genial add. And live 'Venom' is now one of the best moments in Ankor shows: At this end part crowd claps and sing along with Jessie
Really glad you're doing more ANKOR on the channel and showing them to the masses I've been a fan for years :). Love the ending but then again I'm in to hyperpop etc..
Spicey metalspice I've dug Ankor since I found Prisoner on here. A really good vocalist with an incredibly wide range of vocals. This is the most unique of all the recent singles they've released
This band does so many different things, it makes them very hit or miss for me but I respect it. Been following them for a long time, I found out about them from a bunch of covers they were doing of different songs from different genres but metal. This song was awesome till the end. Honestly never heard them like that for real
Usually the pop style that they went with at the end wouldn't be my style but i liked how it fit with the track overall. It was a really cool and chaotic mix of a song, honestly i think Ankor just can't make bad music. They just make such interesting music that whenever they drop somethin new i'm always really excited to see what they have for us
I’m so glad you made a video about this band ! The other 4 singles are amazing (all at least 9.5/10), Prisoner was my No.1 song of 2022 and the next three all made it into my top 10 of 2023. And this one does not disappoint in the slightest, if prisoner is a 10/10 this one deserves at least 9.5🤘🏻
Ainda não boto fé que meu "Spicy Gris" foi parar no final do video, o corretor trocou "Girls" para "Gris" que é o nome de um jogo que eu gosto bastante, que resenha skskskssksksksksk
After hearing the song a couple of times, I got to the conclusion the ending is the best part. I kinda understand the chat didn't like it at first, I also usually don't like too much autotune (mainly because it's often used when the singer is below average and can't sing by him/herself). But here it's definitely not the case. I guess they use autotune to give a techno vibe to their song (it's kinda their signature), and they do it so incredibly well. I'm not even a techno fan, but I like when it comes from them and that's also what makes them so different.
Watch all five videos in order and it makes sense with the last part of the video. Instead of becoming the guy who killed the man she loved she let the police take care of it.
I'm not saying the ending is bad by any means, I can see some people love it, but it just feels like it doesn't fit the rest of the song in the slightest. Also, the autotune was wayyy too excessive

Love this! Ankor is sicccck from Tassie australia
Jessie, loved the Spanish you threw in there! ❤
I love it that way as wel Ankor, keep doing what you guys do! If every song is the same it would be boring real soon!
This band comes up with exciting, brilliant concepts, and executes them extremely well. One of the most interesting things in a long time...

Unpopular opinion: I actually LOVED the ending.
same... i love how it sounds
I see how the ending could be a turnoff. But that style of ethereal pop is so soothing to me, and adding those drums on top of that ethereality to make it absolutely soar to the finish is incredible.
It also goes with what her character is going through in that moment.
Thanks a lot 🙏🏼

Spicy Gris!! Got into Ankor due to their Darkbeat song - huge fan of their stuff.
Spicy Gris! Absolutely loved that twist at the ending personally. Honestly made the song for me. 8.8/10

Yeah dude! Catalonia especialy Barcelona had a great escene. So good you react this! Spread the Word
Spicy gris! Great band - their song Prisoner is a GOAT-level song. But this is a close second for me
Yep the ending made the song for me for sure!

the breakdown reminds me of that one I Prevail song
I really like Ankor, especially their song "Prisoner" and the video for that is really well done as well! Spicy gris!
Ankor hits 'strike' with every recent song! Chapter 6 'Embers' now out, and amazing!
I like the pop sound at the end. Kinda almost Babymetal-ish. Always glad to hear your thoughts to "spicy gris" up my life.
Cool to see so many people dig it. Not my style personally as you can tell but that’s okay
Yeah the end gave me chilllllls
Glad to see Ankor getting some love…they kind of remind me of Bleach Bath era Spiritbox at times, but also go in totally new directions. (spicy gris)

Check out The Cost- Not for me. The drummer is an absolute beast. Old school Thrice vibes
Its a 9'5/10 or even more a 10/10 for me. What an ingenious banger! 😎🖤🧑🎤
wow thanks!!

Prisoner chapter 2 is my initial introduction to this ferocious band

Thanks for this Spicy Gris!
Spice Girls uped my life 😂
That intro is inspired by I Prevail a lot ahah

Spicy gris. I liked it but yeah the ending felt out of place
Wth happened 😅 I do like this song though, it's cool and weird) Maybe a 7/10. The ending ruined it a bit for me.

It does if you watch all five videos to understand the story it is telling.
Do better!
