Thank you so much for uploading this. A real gem and a fantastic insight into James' personal composing process. I still can't quite believe he's gone.
Yes man!!! I agree with Ryangfilm!! This is just amazing. Yesterday i also saw a great interview of james horner of hctortm. And the video is called Interview with James Horner about "Aliens" That was also AWESOME i didn't saw that before either! And this is also great! THANKS JEREMY!!
"I don't use Russian music literally..." Of course not -- even though Shostakovich's Symphony no.5 pops up in EVERY SCORE THIS PERSON HAS EVER WRITTEN.... I love good movie music but I can't stand hearing the same score over and over again in movie after movie. Every score he puts out is a rehash from 1 of 3 movies: Star Trek II, Sneakers, and Glory. Everything else is recycled -- verbatim! No variation, no changes in orchestration, just the same cues over and over again...
R.I.P. James Horner

@TarisioConductor Great comment. You are possibly the first person on UA-cam who has cottoned on to this hack.
he was so young
@maybunnyamon He 'was' so young? What are you attempting to say?
@TimTehPilot I suggest that you visit your local shrink/
@juggernoud1 If the old axiom 'that good composers borrow, but great composers steal', then Jamie Horner is the greatest composer who ever lived.
Horner rules
@Triamatia Yes, a music genius of the same old crap, score after score, bla, bla, bla!
@JTmurray78 Your generation has a Beethoven, does it? "Beethoven" as in the movie about a dog. J H is a dog/
@suicunetudor Breathtaking? Compared to what?
@thistleinfotech James Horner couldn't arrive at something original if his life depended on it.

Don't forget BRAINSTORM being recycled in both ALIENS (an unused cue, but is on the Varése SE, and the iso Blu-ray), and APOLLO 13.
