That's it! That's the William Clarke tone I've been pursuing. I've been doing it but I didn't know "how" until now. Thanks Adam!
Great video! Its amazing how you keep your pucker notes sounding just as airy as your tongue blocked notes.
I’ve watched and played along for a couple of weeks now. I really like your style of teaching and you have taught me a lot already. I’ll keep trying my best. Thanks Adam
As a blind musician, this lesson was music to my ears in so many different ways, finally, someone who knows how to teach this technique, on UA-cam, the right way, the easy way, the The common sense way… Thank you, I finally heard it and I’m going to get it
I'm just interested, how did you type this and how do you read comments?
My goodness Adam! You have taken me (even though I am older) from my 1st Harmonica breaths and through now. All these years and I always seem to learn something new from your video's-Thank you- Keeps me grounded!!!
+wngdthundr : Glad to be of service!
Great lesson. To add, "big sound" does not just come from octaves. It is a effective way to sound big. Opening everything up and hand work...is also important. What amazed me in this lesson was at 10:55 - 11:05 Adam placed just a part of his hand in front of the harp and drastically changed his sound. I think he opened up his oral cavity a bit as well. It just shows how a small changed of one thing can effect the whole sound immensely and make it sound bigger. Thanks again Adam!
Thanks Adam. You rule!
That's the sh*t, Dr G! Love the forensic detail. Great chunky, gutsy sound! Many thanks!
Great video . Perfect for the inttermidiate player . Open up alot of things i was looking for in setting up rythms that had an upswing to it .
Great lesson...I pick up a bit more each time. Cool stuff
Do you have a video on playing through the 12 bar chord changes with this approach?
"... but really you need the A for the big clattering kind of sound". I a can tell as for sound C harmonica is sharper than A, but what's the reason for A being more adequate for octave playing? I listened to a lot of third position in C sounding really 'big'. I really missed your in-car lessons, Adam, glad your back
Great lesson, thanks Adam! I understand why you have 56,000 subscribers
Love it!
Like & Favorite! That way, I can easily find this for review. Great lesson. I already use some tongue-blocked octaves, but this really wakes up the possibilities and energy. Thanks, yet again!

But now I keen to tung block lip purse and share the majic that only us pro pied pipers can.
