Sounds like you are still getting blow by might be the valves if not a new motor can be purchased for these things for around $300 I would recommend getting either a new motor or checking your valve seals
I had a this same situation when we were building the go kart
@@throttlefamily4655 yeah I was thinking of just putting a new motor on it but wanted to see if it could be something simple I was just missing. What did you end up doing about go cart? New motor? I appreciate the reply thanks alot man!
@@cumminztj yes we just bought a new motor saved us a ton of headaches I’ve been wanting to do the 140cc upgrades
Yeah just bought a new motor lol this thing as made me so mad so easiest way new motor lol thanks alot man I appreciate it! What's the best jetting to run these vm26 carbs at?
Installed the makuni knock off then adjusted the idle till it was good. It was running lean (power was hesitant on the throttle), so After that I adjusted air fuel screw and now it responds well and runs fine for about 5 minutes until it slowly Boggs down til it dies. Any advice?
you ever figure it out?
Do you have to take carb off to adjust it or can you get to the screw with it on
Unfortunately yes but you can buy an aftermarket air screw that you can use to not have to
I just got one
The needle has 5 slots to adjust it where did you set that at?
The middle one to start with
will this method work for a mikuni for a predator 212?
Yes it will
@@throttlefamily4655 ok great
I already tried that and still does the same thing
Take your jets out and clean them out with carb cleaner until you can see good light threw them
watched this... still some issues, it runs like the choke is open when its closed and nothing changes when i open it... :( any advice ??
Take the jets out and clean them even brand new ones still have junk in them from the factory
