DON'T rotate your tyres. If you do that you'll end up having to replace all four at the same time.

I have tires over ten years old on a pickup that I don’t drive much. They have no weather checking at all as the tires don’t get a lot of exposure to the sun being at 62 N Latitude. I just bought a set of Michelins for our other pickup for summer tires. The tires that I replaced were 11 years old with no weather checking. We run studded snow tires in the winter.

The wheel alignment's important to make the tires can use long time, including the rotation of front and rear wheels every 10,000Km.🍁

I have 2017 Toyota Ruv4 it came with Michelin tires, i only have 15,500 miles on it, but my son in law told me I need to change tires, because it has tear, it’s very small that I can see, so he had set of tires that lager size off from used car he just bought from cousin, he didn’t want them for his car, I don’t know if he’s being honest about it, do you think my tires could’ve been that bad?

Thank you for the very informative video. My question involves newly purchased Michelin Defender T+H tires on my passenger car. I recently purchased a set of these tires form a reputable tire company. The manufacture dates of the tires are as follows: (3) were 3118 and the remaining tire (1122). Should I be concerned that 3 of the new tires are 4 years old? I do not carry heavy loads, do not tow anything, and drive carefully (I'm a Senior Citizen). Any information would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I am sorry no one answered your question in time ! I do not know what you consider a reputable company... After 4 years, tires should be changed ! No matter how they look, the rubber itself has worn out in a way that affects its behaviour on the road.
On the side of the tire, the date of manufacture will show like this: YYWW (year week: 2210 would be the 10th week of 2022. 2252 would be the last week of 2022.
Even if you drive carefully, rain, emergency situations happen. Take care.

Can I use 21 year old unused Michelin tyre on my car , is tyre date of manufacturing really matter?
