Great video, I can’t wait to see how a transmission fluid change looks like!
Thanks. I have the footage but just need to edit it. Should be uploaded soon.

Licensed Acura Master tech and NSX specialist here, great video detailing the oil change procedure on the NC1. Unfortunately, you missed/incorrectly completed the fill procedure. The 17+ NSX requires a specific amount to go in first, then an engine warm up/idle procedure done via the M.I.D screen on the instrument cluster. After the warm-up/idle procedure and then a 2 minute shutdown time has passed, only then should the remaining oil be put in to "top-up" to specification on the dip-stick. The oil capacity spec is there as a guide for parts, but not every engine will use that exact amount and is dependent on how much is drained and/or if the engine was hot during the service. It is NOT correct to just fill the sump tank with 8.3L/QT's of oil and call it a day.
Thanks for the feedback. You are correct and I should have stated that the capacity amounts listed in the owner's manual are just listed there as a guide. When it comes to the actual oil fill, I actually did use the oil check assist to ensure the correct amount of oil was put into the tank. I will make a follow up video to address the items you pointed out but thanks for taking the time to share the feedback, much appreciated.
thanks for the video, when i get my nsx ill know to service it
You're welcome. Write down your goals and a plan to achieve them. I'm sure you will get your NSX one day and being working on it like me. ☺
Wow so involved. Cant tell ya how easy my 91 is!
Lol. Nothing like a dry sump system with plenty of drain plugs. 🙃
You beat me to making an NSX oil-change video. Someone needs to make a DIY video of changing gearbox clutch fluid and gear fluid. I will be looking out for that.
Lol! I will post anything I can manage by myself to at least show others what's involved.

No problem!
You just yourself $500 by not taking it to Acura to do your oil! Good job bro!
Thanks man! That money is better spent doing something else! I do what I can. 😀
The car cost over $150,000.00. $500.00 for an oil change is nothing.
From beginning to end (minus setting up camera to record the process) how long did it take for you to change the oil? I noticed it went from daylight to night 😬 Also I watched all your videos on charging the TMU oil and transmission fluids. Were those necessary? At what intervals are they supposed to be changed at? Or was you just demonstrating how to DIY those fluid changes? I also noticed you're right at 40k miles. Either way, LOVE THE INFORMATION! 🙌 Thanks, brother!
Thanks for watching. Since the car has 40k and new to me, I like to know when it was done for my own knowledge. Based on the maintenance code, I was due for all of them. For the oil after getting the cover off, maybe a little over an hour. For the intervals, I'm going to make a short video based on what I found online.
They couldn’t just put the filter at the bottom🤦♂️
Lol. There always a reason why it went where it did, we just don't know why!!! 🤣
