Rob: everyone in my family who has lost a tooth lost it due to drugs, so it's actually rather refreshing to hear yours is from a simple workplace accident.
Jokes aside, great video as always and wish you a speedy recovery. Next Halloween will be here in a flash and you'll be fine before then.

Robert, I am so sorry about your dental incident. I am soooo thankful it didn’t hit you in the eye. Teeth can be fixed, an insult to the eye does not always have a good outcome. I enjoy your videos very much. You are a real trooper to dust yourself off and move forward with your videos. I follow a gentleman in PA. His channel is One Eyed Customs. His name is Doug. In one of his videos he explains his accident and recovery. It was a freak accident, but he admitted he was wearing eye protection. He’s a super guy like yourself and never complains. Take care & be safe friend.

Wow. I never thought that a bungee cord could be so brutal. Sorry, that happened. Thanks for the warning and advice! I’m sure you will save a lot of people from that same fate.

I once had a piece of wood fly out from the router table - my carelessness. It went straight to my face. Thankfully I always wear a full face respirator with face shield. It's not comfortable especially for long periods of time, but to me, that's better than the alternative.

The Ridgid and the Milwaukee cordless ones, offers storage for hoses and attachments at steeper prices but well worth the investment. Good size and shape.
Hopefully this vacuum sucked up the acci-dental spills at the beginning quickly enough. Great review Rob.👍

Sorry to hear about your tooth. I've been paranoid about bungee cords ever since an old timer told me a story many, many years ago about a buddy who lost and eye from one that flew back and hit him. I've tried to use them as little as possible since then.

That would be sick for the second gen to be a hybrid model. I have a decent shop vac but it's a pain in the ass to move around and this looks super easy to deal with. That's pretty amazing to move that much water too.

Nice! Hopefully other brands make similar. I've been using the corded Bucket Head (a similar idea) from HD and I grab it for most things more often than a much much larger corded DeWalt. The battery powered option is even more useful. I'm invested in the Milwaukee platform, though... so, I'll keep on using the Bucket Head.

Home Depot used to sell a corded bucket vacuum. I can’t understand why someone would buy a vacuum with no tank. And if it had decent suction it would collapse the bucket. That’s the problem with the Oneida Dust Deputy. Had to put the bucket inside another bucket to prevent it from imploding.

60 dollars is the max this is worth. Honestly where I see this best is the up and coming tradesman who is using a 5 gallon bucket to cleanup anyways and this beats a dust pan. Plus it acts somewhat as a lid for the bucket, say a plumber who has to take this off site to dump whatever's in it. Sure theres much more professional and premium options, but I've seen 5 gallon buckets used crudely for a lot of things, tool bags, mixers, garbage cans. They're cheap and they have a handle. Ryobi is really good at making weird niche cheap tools for starting out that really help push people into their ecosystem. I see the 6 gallon wet vac with the big wheels as a direct upgrade to this when financials permit. Integrated accessories, wheels (great ones at that), bags, better filters, and it uses the same batteries.
Side note, all vacuums need an exhaust port to function, and household stick vacs usually have it tucked away behind some low profile ventilation. Shop vacs turn it into a functional blower hole. Using it as an actual blower is stupid imo, all the particles you blow just go into the air and your lungs. What its useful for is unclogging the hose when suction clearly isn't unclogging it. just blow back out whatever has it clogged. Thats the main thing I use it for, especially with these narrower hosed units. I always blow the hose out before finishing, make sure nothing is stuck in it

"Ryobi could enhance its appeal to professionals..."
I highly doubt that Rob, Ryobi is all about cutting corners.
Also, $60 is ridiculous, $40 max.

So sorry about your tooth. I don’t use bungees anymore. I’ve always worried about what would happen if the opposite end came loose. Could easily take out an eye.

Unfortunately it has a tiny 1.25" hose. That'll barely suck up anything, clog like crazy and take forever to vac up any larger mess
