Thank you, this was helpful and i bought one because of your (and one other friend) review. I will open the box today, hoping to have nice results for the daily commute
it's only £650 mate - that's inexpensive for an ebike there has to be something missing somewhere - it's just a question of irritation factor and it's not much of an irritation I have to say - I soon solved the issue
@@ThinkingandTinkering I just figured that anyone smart enough to design a folding bike would be smart enough to include a simple clip costing a couple of dollars or pounds)
A great honest review from a good old boy, just like me !! Think thats the one i will go for after checking out similar bikes, and even a free e bike trial from Halfords .
A nice looking bike, and good to get a review of day-to-day "normal" (for me!) usage, rather than lycra clad road warriors or tough mountain bikers. I'm wondering how easy it would be to add some kind of rack. My (non-electric, ex-skip) bicycle has a wire basket at the front and a rear rack with panniers, and both get used regularly as I use it to shift stuff as well me around.
I've been looking at Ebikes, (i'm getting old) i'll only be using it to go local and the shops, and one of the important things to me is, having a carrier & panniers. I wonder would the carrier from my old pushbike fit on this ?
Great review rob I would bet there's a few more sales because of how good you review things. I just achieved mechanical bldc control scrapped the distributor and made magnet controlled switches. Mwaahahaha
Down in Cornwall I quite often fold up my e-bike and take it on local bus services - tho' some of the companies insist on you having it in a bag so it counts as hand luggage
@@ThinkingandTinkering Bikes are not allowed on long distance trains without booking one of the 8 or so spaces provided; there is no charge. However unless your bike can be packed away it may not be allowed on the train. So a folded bike in a canvas carrier (which counts as hand luggage) needs no booked space. Interesting point is that, if your battery charger draws
Strange, other than the decals and flat paint I would say this is an exact copy of my Lectric XP 2.0 or mine is a copy of yours. I agree with your review totally, its a fun bike. Seeing this I would just like to know if one of the two is a knock off. I ejoy your videos you always have something interesting going on!
Recently built my mountain bike into an E-Bike for the same thing, to make getting around easier. I got a 10ah battery. With a range of less than 10 mile ! Sounds like you're getting close to 32 mile. So my next upgrades will include a bigger battery. I remember a while back you were building a battery for an E-car. How did that go ? I missed the ending of that project.
I use a 14 ah/35v battery. This has got me to Penzance (25 miles on Cycle Route 3) and ⅔ of the way back so about 40 miles. I could (just) have made the entire journey, I think, but my knees were playing up - see my previous comment on taking on busses. Can I make a guess and say it sounds like you have a front wheel motor?
Hi Robert a good review and i have the same bike, I have 1 question for you, hopefully you will be able to answer. The milage on the controller is showing less than a gps fitness app i use. I'm right in it has 20" wheels and have set the controller to 20, but I have also seen some where, if you have 20" wheels the wheel/ rim diameter should be set to 22 ? could you shed some light or thoughts on this thanks, ps keep up the good work .
My electric folder is definitely not a toy. I'd be lost without it, I use it every day, rain or shine and because I stick my middle finger up at authority, it goes just a bit faster than your legal one. I charge it mostly from solar power. I absolutely love my ebike.
Does anyone know how to tighten the front forks, there is a knock when i brake in the head tube. i removed the handle bars but can't see a way of taking slack out of the forks
Unfortunately very few E-Bikes have regenerative braking. Part of the reason seems to be that the process is very inefficient. There was a video where an E-biker estimated it only gave 2 or 3 extra miles on a journey of 20, which with the added weight of the mechanism made it not worth the investment
It does give you back some power with the G force regenerative braking system. Everything comes down to the SPEED you ride at. Your weight and terrain you go on. I have range testerd it on all five PAS and throttle levels. PAS 1=43 MILES PAS 2=36 MILES PAS 3=27 MILES PAS 4 (THROTTLE)=21 MILES PAS 5 (THROTTLE)=17 MILES PAS 1=9MPH PAS 2=12MPH PAS 3=15 MPH PAS 4=17 MPH PAS 5=20MPH When you unlock the A20. So the faster you go obviously the trade off is how much voltage is consumed. Fully charged I have 41.1 VOLTS And I set the cut off at 28.5 VOLTS. The regenerative system really kicks in once you are down to around 36V. I average 21 miles a day on my commute to and from work. Getting to work will take me down to 36.5V on average. Getting home will take me down to 34V on average. So less VOLTS are consumed on the home trip. Which makes sense as there are more hills and uphill grades going to work. When using the THROTTLE you will see the voltage draw down alot. But as soon as you come off it. It bounces back up to it's TRUE current level. It can fully charge a mobile phone in about an hour and 10 minutes. And this will only cost you about 0.3 to 0.5 of a volt. It's a truly FANTASTIC BIKE. 750 euros or less in some places does not buy a better bike with so many features and performance. I promise you.
@@fender1000100 Thanks, I've obviously not kept up with regen. braking. The speed/mass limitation are particularly applicable to me as I'm just coming up to 70. I can only really pedal up to about 12 mph on my 21" wheels and only approach 15+ downhill on limited sections BUT using RB will lose impetus for the next uphill section - this is Cornwall after all.
I am so lucky to have bought a 2nd hand E-bike, for £150. The previous owner was a big bloke who had to buy a bigger E-bike, it is a load of fun!! Instead of being a Disabled person, I become just another cyclist!! I am going to have to buy a new battery, because I was really stupid and whist I was very ill, I lent it to my Ex-best friend.... Who swapped my almost New LiOn battery, with someone's Used battery... Also, it has been knocked about a bit by him, so I am kicking myself up the Ass, for my Stooopidity!! C'est La Vie! 🙂 Kindest Regards, Andrea and Critter Family. XxX
I'd love to have one of those! No twitch stream today (friday 19/11)? It scheduled so I hope there is an innocent hickup and nothing serious. Take care 👍
Good Review mate but your not fooling me the smile on your face every time you ride it tells me it is a Toy just one you will continue to use on a regular basis 😂
I reaaly do not appreciate the drifting into advertising, the prupose is drifting too, and if i drift too, i quit the vehicle to stay on my tracks. The ride as been so good for years. I hope it will stay on rails. Or just giveaway 10 000 free ado bikes ^^
are you mad? seriously, how do you think the channel gets paid for? Unicorns and kind wishes? I really get annoyed at this kind of short sighter thinking - wake up man!
Thanks ADO for sending this to Rob. 👍
Nice work Rob on the honest videos, you couldn’t have done them any better! 😊✌️
Nailed it, Rob... best bike at its price point 😁 Bought a cheap e- bike earlier in the summer but this is the business!!
thank you mate - I do try and be honest about things

Great review. Thanks for sharing Rob😀
Glad you enjoyed it
A clip to stop it unfolding seems common sense. I wonder why it didn't enter the minds of the designers?

in a bag - that's hilarious - though on second thoughts I can see the appeal - I wonder if there is a market for a bike in a suitcase?

nice bike thanks rob

Awesome! 👏

now let's build a paper e-bike with paper battery :D
agreed
Soon it will come with a carbon tax too.
yeah probably lol
The cost of fuel we will all be riding these soon

Hi
Has anyone purchased this bike off the official website In UK and how was your experience?
Thanks
Hello
On there website there two kinds EU version or international version can someone please tell me which one for UK, thanks :)
Does it charge up when cycling?
