Make it happen~ Steve got Shadows' attention from the audience, and wouldn't take no for an answer. Sadly, he didn't hang with them afterwards. He got hugs from the band before they led him off the side exit. Still, it was an incredible experience!
I'm glad your son enjoyed Larry. I've been taken Stephen to concerts since he was 8, and as he's leaving for college this fall this was probably our last one together. Definitely a nice way to go out.....
Who are the 18 assholes who disliked this video??? How miserable they must be in life. The kids knocked it out of the park over the center field fence and the ball is still going! A7X showed what a class act they are. They're one of the few bands that really show appreciation to their fans.
SO TRUE!! AND EVEN IF THEY KNOW THEY'RE NOT SO SOLD HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES (WHICH IS FUCKING SAD CAUSE I'M A DIE HARD FAN AS WELL AS MY BAND) .. THEY STILL WENT HERE AND GAVE THEIR FANS AN UNFORGETTABLE SHOW.. THEY'RE MY HEROES!!
He killed it! The nerves must have been insane way to go!! I also love Syn is laying there then he’s like “Fuck gotta go sing aaaand back to laying down oh sweet sweet sleep”
im surprised he did that good without montiors when the head phones fell. it was hot there when the pyros went off his back probably felt like it was melting lol
I knew he was in a little trouble when he lost the headphones, all he could hear was himself. Even though I'm biased (as his dad)... he still did really well, was just a half step off key during his lead with Zacky.... but his harmonics were flawless!
Damn that must be awesome for Synyster Gates, haha. Just kicking back on the stairs and listening between the fire and a fan performing an arrangement in which he wrote. He must be listening to the notation. To see how, if at all, the song impacted the life of this young musician on stage. Or maybe that's just me and my memories of how "Waking The Fallen" has impacted me.
Robert Blackman did he get any special treatment after the show did he get to hang with the guys or anything and did he get to keep syns guitar i was there but obviously they dont tell you any of this stuff lol
Shatterskin Gaming and he did great honestly i didnt expect him to do that well but he really blew me away he was great didnt expect it at all. hes a lucky man
Shatterskin Gaming A lot of people have been asking that! Unfortunately not, it would've been nice if they'd given him even a backup guitar, but it didn't happen. He does have the pic that he played with, and he'll never forget the experience, so it's all good!
LUCKY!! i had a sign that said it's my dream to play this means war on rhythm guitar and i was in the front of the crowd......fucking security told me to put my sign down -_-
Tyler Lees its funny you say that. i was a security guard at that show and i am a metalhead and was enjoying the show but everyone was talking shit to me just cuz its my job to uphold the rules, for example, to stop people from smoking inside. its just called doing my job and when i have 2 jobs trying to pay for an apartment i have no choice.
this is out of content but in 1:22 M said "Linkin Park" and i think im going insane. call me an idiot im just too happy because i really want to see my two fav bands have a collaboration but i know it such an impossible thing
Doktor Baum The first three albums, in my opinion, are the best things they have ever done and most likely ever will do. They write off "Sounding the Seventh Trumpet" because they think that they're above it, but really, the music on that album is so much more adventurous in terms of songwriting than what they've been doing for the last three records. I know they've honed their craft, slowed everything down, opened it up, and tightened their focus, but honestly it's time for another album of eight minute songs consisting of multiple bridges, guitar leads, harmonies, etc. I still find things to love about "Waking the Fallen" and "City of Evil" almost ten years later. Can't say the same for the self-titled on... although I thought "Hail to the King" was a solid record, as dry as it is.
"Yo Gates, you're fired."
SpesMorte hahaha lol
Thanks for posting, Steve is my son, he had the time of his life
You're welcome! He did awesome up there. Definitely a night to remember for you guys!
your son is awesome !!
DANIEL.T Thanks Dan. What an amazing experience for both of us!
Make it happen~ Steve got Shadows' attention from the audience, and wouldn't take no for an answer. Sadly, he didn't hang with them afterwards. He got hugs from the band before they led him off the side exit. Still, it was an incredible experience!
Thank you, I will!
When his headphones fell off you just knew that he was thinking "Fuck it"

That's pretty cool! I hope he didn't get deaf because of the falling headphones though.
His ears were ringing pretty good, but the headphones were so he could hear the rest of the band.... which he couldn't!
i love how they allowed him to play together with them :)
Damn, what a great job. He killed it. A7X forever man, such an awesome band.
im surprised he did that good without montiors when the head phones fell. it was hot there when the pyros went off his back probably felt like it was melting lol

Gates is just like: Na I'm not gonna play just let me chill here and enjoy my beer
Then, : oh shit my backing vocal
Dude went out there and KILLED IT!
I was there ! miss it and steve killed it !
Fun fact: The papers on the tables in the front of the stage are all of the lyrics, incase matt forgets the lyrics
+Jason Dena Really? i didn't even noticed there's papers there XD
How do you know? And how can it be all the songs?
HazardGamingHG it is the lyrics, Matt uses a teleprompter now

This guy is so lucky!!!
Wow. This is quite fantastic.

Thank you, I'm Steve's dad. The outpouring of love has been amazing

I'd love to hear songs like that again live... Sadly, chances are looking pretty slim :(
Tom Whaley
Me too but I think they don't wanna anymore..for whatever reason :((
Btw art of subconsious illusions is my favorite song ever!
