Jev from a souls game vet, you could beat every souls game at soul level one with only your left fist and there would still be someone who’s unsatisfied. If you’re doing this for you valid but if it’s to prove something to them you never will, they’re just like that.

I did a similar thing because I felt like I didn't beat some of the bosses 'legit' first time round, so I ended up beating Malenia and Radagon (and Elden Beast) parry only with the Buckler and a dagger, actually super fun to learn tbh, kinda makes it feel a bit more like Sekiro playing that way

The build I'm currently doing is a mix of both his playthroughs.
Int str build with a sheild and so far, it's been great because I can switch up how i fight based on how the bosses react.

I recently finished an ER playthrough with a heavy thrusting sword and shield jist because it looked fun. Who cares how you build in Souls games, only two things matter: having fun and having good drip.
Also, did you know when Malenia does her sweeping kick, you can backstep and immediately counter for a free hit (depending on your weapon of course).
I remember when Jev first started playing Elden ring and said something along the lines of, "People in the comments think im some type of world beater, I'm not gonna be one of the those guys that do fists only no armor. The game is difficult." Look at him now. Went from Git gud to Got good. Keep it up Jev!

honestly a lot of people are mistaking you saying you're better than them at gaming as you saying you can beat them at a game they have 100s or 1000s of hours in, I've seen people saying "he wouldn't beat me at rocket league or cs" and he probably wouldn't just because he doesn't know what to do in certain scenarios but put jev and any person in a game that neither have played, I'm betting on jev 90% of the time

Jev you should try challenge runs similar to souls channels like the backlogs, iron pineapple etc. could prove your souls skills while having some fun :) like finishing elden ring using only throwables, stuff like that.

i made an astrologer first run and made a magic/sword dual build with the moon veil katana and that was the most fun i ever had on any build. Idk why souls players like to have these special rules but i care about the enjoyment.
Gamers can be so sad honestly, if you're not sweating through your teeth and struggling apparently you're cheesing it, the way I see it is, you play however you want. At the end of the day, if you've paid for the game, you can do what you want.

Daggers are my favorite for boss fights fast recovery and like the one jev was using quickstep 👌 just gotta be patient and get hits when you can dont be greedy and youll have most of your flasks by the end but nice kills jev enjoyed the dagger gameplay never thought id see you run a dagger in this. No matter what you do people gonna hate man just be you and dont let them get to yo head dont read the comments xD

After getting to the final boss in Sekiro and trying to master the parry in Lies Of P I think I may return for a 4th playthrough. I’ve been waiting for the DLC after getting the platinum. I just want to try being parry focused since I never used it in this game. Might be a piece of cake if I can get it down
Something I learned is if you use maliketh’s black blade ash of war it causes malenia to be knocked down and if you time it correctly you can keep her in a knock down loop

if ur gonna use a dagger, try the misericorde and build it however but leave its crit alone. it has the highest crit in the game and is super fun to pair with a buckler against milenia (that is if u can parry her properly cuz even i struggle lol)
You should give beating the game at a capped level like lvl 50 a go, gives a perfect balance between challenging and fun, I personally enjoy it for the fact you get 1 hit or 2 hit by most bosses in the game, and regular enemies can pose a threat if your not being careful, highly recommend it funniest playthrough of Elden ring for me besides the first one, hope to see you give it a go.

Hearing the complaints that people had about his playthrough are so dumb. What’s the next complaint? “He used charged attacks and those cause a lot of posture damage, and then he riposted with a dagger. Daggers have high crit modifiers.” I feel like these people wouldn’t be happy if you finished a level 1 run.
Btw just so you know, when running from waterfowl jumping can actually help you get away faster

yo jev use the bubble tear on future mohg runs to stop the blood rain from hitting you. just pop it when you see him start the attack.

Fr after beating elden ring 13 times, 9 times on one character, and then beat on separate characters, I can say the game is so much easier. I can beat the first boss, the tree sentinel, Margit, godrick and Rennala all without leveling at all. Pretty much with ease. It's amazing how this game teaches you over time
real talk, a dual dagger run is actually really fun, using successive attack buffs and bleed on your daggers if you like that

the only way i could see to further optimize daggers without being cheese would be getting the turtle shield for stam regen (stacks with talisman) and one of the sword insignias to boost successive attack; love u jev

You should try the Wing of Astel, it’s like Cinquedea but instead of strength it’s best for intelligence and it has a great charged attack.

On my RL1 run I didn’t know about those fists til elden beast and I immediately killed him first try with them. Malenia is no joke. Such a phenomenal boss. Her and Isshin, the Sword Saint are the 2 hardest no doubt.
Also Jev cinquedea boosts bestial incantations, which, isnt very popular but I find them interesting, particularly Gurranqs boulder which is fast and does near moderate damage & the claw from the ground slicing one that does decent posture damage

Jev you should do a fresh build and make it into a series with little to no cuts of the game and lowkey kind of walk through for new players with tips and tricks etc. To point us into the right direction for the best weapons/armor to get early game. Just a thought!
