Paper Mario games kinda mocks the fact you have to learn in a action based RPG game by letting you pass if you are skilled enough. You even get rewarded even more than getting the quizzes correct because you get to walk away with bonus xp...
On my last playthrough of Paper Mario 64, I actually failed the quiz on purpose so I could beat the Anti Guy unit for extra Star Points (and a level up) before moving on to fight Bowser.
Well, I guess for Dr. Kawashima it's great to have a brain 20 years younger 😂

The Big Brain Academy, Brain Training and Sight Training just STUNG me with nostalgia! And those three (not counting the Devilish Brain Training because I DON'T have that) are FAR from the only games I have for my DS and 3DS.

@@bagelgeese_real Amoeba is better, as at least a stegosaurus can walk around, eat with teeth, and be able to reproduce sexually while an amoeba can only do basic movements, engulf their prey, and dies to reproduce. Finally, amoebas are way smaller than peanuts, so their brains must be even smaller.

After finding out about the _Thousand-Year Door_ ones, I would intentionally fail the quizzes just to Tattle Log the Clefts and X-Yux early and get early EXP.

Those brain training games are actually nice to you even if you get the lowest score, unlike Mind Quiz: Your Brain Coach by Ubisoft, which had to be recalled at one point, as it calls people with the lowest score a Super "insert VERY offensive word starting with Sp & ending with tic".
Possibly the most awful thing to ever be called by a game for having a low IQ score; it was absolutely offensive.
The punishments here are tame in comparison.
A lot of things get in trouble for that word, don't they? Even Mario Party used it without thinking once... But that's the kind of disconnect that happens when a language is split in two by the Atlantic Ocean, I guess: very mild connotations in the USA, very _dire_ connotations in the rest of the English-speaking world.

But in that second battle in The Thousand Year Door weren’t you missing a Special Move? Shouldn’t you already have 6 Crystal Stars by this point in the game? Did you sequence break into chapter 7 and skip chapter 6 in the process? 😅
The sixth Crystal Star's Special Move, Showstopper, is not visible because the menu interface made only six options visible at a time. At the bottom of the Special Moves menu, notice that there is a bouncing orange arrow pointing downward that indicates that there are further options.
Ok yeah you’re right, I missed that. The thing is there actually is glitch that allows you to get early access to the shortcut to chapter seven and skip some earlier chapters. So my Brain just tried to put two and two together but completely missed that arrow in the process 😅
I love the sheer variety of quality games Nintendo has released. You get first person shooters, platformers, racing games, sports and fitness games, and… these.

In PMTTYD enemies can have hidden "attributes" in battle.
Clefts are with Koopas and Bristles in "grounded" category.
You can flip such enemies over by using jumps (you take damage when said einemy has spikes on them though and your attack is nullified, as long as you dont wear a SpikeShield badge), the ability QuakeHammer OR in this case using a POW block since you have at this very early stage of the game *_very likely_* no means of other reliable damaging methods.
POW blocks deal 2 damage to anything and _flip elegible enemies;_ they also make celing bound enemies (airborne but can't reach with jumps) lose their grip, and just airborne
Clefts have 2 HP so this is an easy and very profitable instakill
The successor to the POW block is the Quake-Item which has the almost the same properties, but does not hit airborne and deals 5 dmg instead of 2

Honestly now any playthrough I do of Paper Mario 64 I go out of my way to get all the questions wrong because the 3 Anti Guy fight is probably the hardest fight in the game and I love a good challenge, and honestly this game is pretty easy, I do appreciate the optional challenging fights tho, like the 3 Anti Guy fight in this video
