The dharkon bad ending is very dark and depressing for a Nintendo game. Galeem is defeated, the world is engulfed in darkness, and mario just falls down and dies, then the screen fades to black.
Agreed. It's even worse than the Galleem bad ending in a few ways. Here's the first example of why this is true to most players like myself. Dharkon appears at the end of said clip from that ending and glares at the player with his creepy eye. Also the fact that the world is engulfed in total darkness just makes it much worse compared to the Galleem Bad Ending as with the world engulfed in darkness it's plants die a slow and horrible death as they need sunlight to live.

That smash bros one is interesting. You can screw it up by defeating dark enemies too much, or enemies of light. Which is a real kingdom hearts vibe :P
No..? You get the bad endings by choosing to only fight one of the final bosses instead of fighting them both at the same time. Their's 3 endings. If you have the light and dark side unbalanced by not defeating enough light compared to dark (visa versa) it just makes whatever final boss that has more minions on its side stronger when you do the final fight
@@alvaroperez2349 Yeah, for example, the Pikmin in Pikmin, are effectively expendable soldiers under your command. They may die and very likely eaten to death, but you can regrow more of the exact same creatures. And in Pikmin 2, one of the Pikmin, the white Pikmin, has an ability that solely is for it to be consumed by an enemy. If eaten, it will deal damage to the enemy that ate it. I believe though, if your Pikmin get eaten, but before their ghosts appear, if you can kill the enemy fast enough that ate it, you may be able to save it from it's death by being eaten. Which just makes me think how in Zelda OoT, if a Like-like eats your shield or tunic, if you kill the Like-like fast enough after it ate your shield and/or tunic, the items it ate can be recovered, instead of losing them and needing to buy new ones. For me, when I play OoT, and see a Like-like, I switch to the green tunic and Mirror Shield (if I have gotten it yet) as because those two pieces of equipment you cannot replace, the game does not allow Like-likes to eat those things.
Yeah this is a cool idea of a video like that. I also remembered when you lose in the old Mario Kart games, you'll see a clip where your character can be left outside of the podium, getting exploded by a Bob-omb kart, or even being squished by the podium.
There’s an alternate version mod on prnhub where bowser get his cock blow up by Daisy and peach if he’s 1st. The mod was very famous and Nintendo had to do something to took it down otherwise …
Depressed Luigi is most commonly depressed but only happy around Yoshi. Despite what most might think, it has been proven that Luigi is actually the better plumber out of the two brothers.
8:26 Ok, well in Super Metroid, if you want to see her without a suit, get a game over. During the cutscene, for a brief second, before the screen turns white. You can actually see it. If not, too bad.
The metroid endings you describe are more normal endings than bad endings, as the revealing endings are rewards for beating the game in a time basically no casual first time player is likely to get (typically around 3 hours).
Okay, now that you mention it, that bad ending in the first game I ever played that we still play alot, Mario Kart 64, that ending is kind of depressing, but at the same time it's kind of funny 😂
Poor Luigi. Olimar's Funeral. Poor Bowser. Wario with a Bird's House. Wario's Mother. Samus is very brave. The Queen is Evil. RIP. Mario and The other characters.
Bad endings have always creeped me out. Like, take Kirby’s Dreamland 2, 3, and 64. If you don’t find all of the secrets in the levels in those games, Dark Matter/Zero is not defeated. Meaning the Pop Star isn’t free from the darkness.
I didn't get the true ending for Crystal Shards for years, not until some playthrough videos were uploaded so I knew where, and how to get all those missing shards
Wait! Question. I've played Pikmin and I actually collected every part of the ship(usually at day 25) and I was wondering... Does the bad ending happen if you miss just one part?
I think the video says it happens if you collect less than 20 idk but in the video is showed them collecting only 18 or something(??) So if you are looking to get the ending, just collect 19 or less idk
It's missing one of the mandatory parts that triggers Pikmin Olimar. Therefore, the maximum number you can have and get that ending is 28/30 because the Secret Safe is optional.
I'm pretty sure the game shows the list of parts at some point. If I remember correctly, 25 of the ship parts are required to get a good ending, while the other 5 are optional. But you still need to get all 30 parts for the true ending.
Fun fact the Wario Land 1 ending made me remember: The best ending in that game, where Wario gets a planet, isn’t canon. The canon ending is the second best ending, where he gets a castle. Mainly because that’s where you start in Wario Land 2, in Wario's castle. 8:42 "Hold up! They didn’t finish it quick enough, I’m not stripping."

1:32 ah, this screen brings back good memories of playing mario kart wii with my grandpa… we always lost because the cpus were too good, maybe thats why i almost always choose the easy cpu difficulty in mario kart 8! :P
So wait did I have some weird different version of the original Mario Kart (or more likely it's regional differences)? Because whenever I finished a circuit in 4th place it would still act like I placed and show me standing next to the pedestals celebrating. I played that game all the time as a kid and I remember that clear as day. It wasn't until 64 that the game (or at least the versions I owned) started treating 4th place like a loss and showing a depressing ending.
You're very unlikely to get this ending by accident. Purposefully avoiding enough money for it is considered harder than getting the best ending. Even on my crappy first playthrough I got ending D.

3:06 I've never played Pikmin before. Can someone please explain to me what they did to Olimar?
They tried to save him by turning him into a Pikmin, thus he can never return home now...
@@alvaroperez2349 I bet the pikmin are wondering who can pick him up from the ground now
@Alvaro Perez
Thanks. Also holy crap that's dark
@@opalyasu7159 Pikmin as a whole is dark when you look past the cutesy demeanor.

Ok, well in Super Metroid, if you want to see her without a suit, get a game over. During the cutscene, for a brief second, before the screen turns white. You can actually see it. If not, too bad.

Smash ultimate bad endings are the ones more horrible is like end of all the fighters.
And the Dharkon Bad Ending is the worse one of them all.
Not gonna lie, I would like to see an alternative sequel to Pikmin where the bad ending is canon and Olimar adjusts to his new life as a Pikmin
The metroid endings you describe are more normal endings than bad endings, as the revealing endings are rewards for beating the game in a time basically no casual first time player is likely to get (typically around 3 hours).

1:09 Mario Kart Super Circuit when you loaded illegal copy:
05:33 never seen this version of ending before in wario land 4
Okay, now that you mention it, that bad ending in the first game I ever played that we still play alot, Mario Kart 64, that ending is kind of depressing, but at the same time it's kind of funny 😂
Poor Luigi.
Olimar's Funeral.
Poor Bowser.
Wario with a Bird's House.
Wario's Mother.
Samus is very brave.
The Queen is Evil.
RIP. Mario and The other characters.
Poor mario
Basically entire Fire Emblem franchise: Letting everyone but important characters die on classic mode
In mario cart 64, you straight up get drone stricken.
Bad endings have always creeped me out. Like, take Kirby’s Dreamland 2, 3, and 64. If you don’t find all of the secrets in the levels in those games, Dark Matter/Zero is not defeated. Meaning the Pop Star isn’t free from the darkness.
Not to mention, The Princess straight up just dies and Kirby and friends are like. Oh no! Anyways bye!
@@FishronCatFurryBoi If you’re referring to the true ending, she actually survived, and gave Kirby and crew some medals as a thank you gift.
I didn't get the true ending for Crystal Shards for years, not until some playthrough videos were uploaded so I knew where, and how to get all those missing shards
@@LilDemona A lot of them are stupid, because you have to have a specific ability combination 🗿

Fatal Frame 5 had a really depressing bad ending where the main girl committed suicide. Surprised it’s not on here.
Because it's not a Nintendo game.
Nintendo co-developed the game with Koei Tecmo. They owned the rights to the game.

Wait!
@@bingolinging okay. I'll check then.
Red Pikmin: yeah we did it, we saved Olimar!
Yellow Pikmin: good, and now... Who's gonna plug him out?
Red Pikmin: oh, bullocks
Fun fact the Wario Land 1 ending made me remember: The best ending in that game, where Wario gets a planet, isn’t canon. The canon ending is the second best ending, where he gets a castle. Mainly because that’s where you start in Wario Land 2, in Wario's castle.
8:42 "Hold up! They didn’t finish it quick enough, I’m not stripping."
I feel that super circuit was the black sheep of the MK line but it would have to be a 2nd fav for me.. the inbetween of tight game play and the wobbly noodleness of Mk64.. not to mention the start of throwback tracks from past games
3:39 bowser is just chilling so if you get this ending don’t feel bad that you have to do everything again look on the bright side bowser is just chilling on his vacation
MKWii always felt like a little time to breathe after a stressful race.
11:25 bro this is brutal as heck.
Recently, whenever I play the game, I see this ending at least nine times! And no, I don’t just go to the movie section and watch it nine times.
1:32 ah, this screen brings back good memories of playing mario kart wii with my grandpa… we always lost because the cpus were too good, maybe thats why i almost always choose the easy cpu difficulty in mario kart 8! :P
The wii game was the hardest of all Mario Kart in my opinion. It felt like every time you got first the npcs would get a blue shell within 10sec or so
@seraluci yeah,it's also my least favorite Mario Kart game.i
2:53
final what?!?!
Final analysis
So wait did I have some weird different version of the original Mario Kart (or more likely it's regional differences)? Because whenever I finished a circuit in 4th place it would still act like I placed and show me standing next to the pedestals celebrating. I played that game all the time as a kid and I remember that clear as day. It wasn't until 64 that the game (or at least the versions I owned) started treating 4th place like a loss and showing a depressing ending.
The Mario kart ones make me very uncomfortable
Especially with the Bob-omb
HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THAT LUIGIS MANSION ONE???
You're very unlikely to get this ending by accident. Purposefully avoiding enough money for it is considered harder than getting the best ending.
Even on my crappy first playthrough I got ending D.
Not gonna lie I like seeing Mario kart Wii lose screen it’s very calming
There are many more bad endings in the Kirby series.
Also, Wario’s Birdhouse as a game when?
What if in mario × rabbits sparks of hope you lose of one of the spark hunters you will get to see a cutscene that they are rewared by cursa?
