I absolutely love my Scalarworks LEAP 1.93 mount.. have it paired up with a Sig Romeo4T. Just grabbed the 30mm LPVO LEAP mount, as well.. build quality on Scalarworks products is outstanding!
I want one of these. Gonna have to throw one on my wishlist. I really like their QD mechanism for two reasons. 1. You can run the 1.93 and have the higher mounted optic and not have to care about co witness because you can quickly take the whole mount off without any tools. This also means that you don’t have to care about flip down sights if you don’t want them in the window of the optic because they won’t be tall enough. 2. I’m an ape without a torque screwdriver and I’ve broken two T10 bits tightening down the stock mount for a Romeo 5 onto my rail. I did hand tight plus 1/4 turn and it came loose without ever firing the gun so I used a T10 screwdriver tip and snapped that then snapped a T10 socket in the screw. That mount is currently no longer moving but I’m not sure I’ll be getting it off without a hell of a fight. Yeah the mount is almost as much as the Romeo 5 itself but when I upgrade I can just keep the mount and use it for the next optic seeing as how that footprint is pretty much standard at this point.
I recently acquired a LEAP mount for my ATACR 1-8 for my SCAR 17. I’m blown away with the quality, weight, aesthetics and ease of use, especially the level screw when slapping the scope on. No taking it to a gunsmith to get it put on. I’m seriously debating trashing my OEM mounts for my MRO HD and T2 and replacing them with these red dot ones.
Wish scalarworks would come out with flip up sights. Feel like they would be incredible and light/strong. Their fixed irons are phenomenal and I love them, but don’t want fixed on everything. Also, they should come out with light mounts and an offset mount. Scalarworks! Get on it!
Heads up for anyone looking to use this on a solar Holosun. If you want lower 1/3 co-witness. Buy the absolute height mount. The Solar Holosuns sit a bit higher.
@MatthewJay this would apply to really any mount and specifically for Holosun. The Sig solar models I think have about the same height as an Aimpoint since they don’t use the battery tray design that adds the height.
Probably going to get me the 1.47 Leap for my PA MD-20. I just have to convince myself to dish out $150 for a piece of metal. Lol. but it has amazing reviews. Cool video, man!
I'm more curious about that stock, what stock is that on that little ar?? and do you need anything specific to run it? could i possibly run that on a DD MK18 if i wanted to???
I bought the Peak sights based on your review awhile ago. Been wanting to get a Leap mount but still saving up for the optic. Can’t decide between the T2 or CompM5.
I’m mainly an absolute (~1.4) and 1/3 co-witness height guy (1.59) on my mounts for my dots. Should I stick with that height when I go to purchase a scalarworks ? Or is it totally worth it to learn a high 1.93 mount ? I will be running a magnifier. If I go high mount. I’ll have to spend a grip on the magnifier and compatible mount for it with the right height/screw pattern. *I’ve never even looked through a high mount before but I see people trending towards it. Is the height to bore offset a big deal and I’ll have relearn my holds with ample range hours ? Great content by the way. Keep it up.
Quick question 🤔 the primary arms slx md-25 witch mount you use for it???I like the look and I'm thinking to get that set up for my new brn-180 build🤔🤔🤔😬😬😁
I’ve had good luck with both Larue and adm qd mounts for my t1 and holosun 403. It was really hard to buy an expensive QD mount that cost like half of what the holosun did. I like the look of scalarworks but I’m not in the market right now. What fixed non-QD mount offers the best compromise of price and quality for the T1 platform?
I always worried if these would keep zero...have you ever tried a drop test with these mounts? I own 2 of them already but never dropped mine but that obviously could happen under stress. I know they're tough but I'm curious if they hold zero after a couple drops. Thanks for the video! I'm a fan
I’m trying to figure out why they exist.. I usually love their products, but those mounts offer nothing. Heavy-ish, non-QD, ugly as sin, not particularly inexpensive..
Well I won’t use the qd on my Romeo5. Maybe the scalerworks mount would help retain 0 so maybe I would use the qd? Idk but maybe the arisaka wasn’t made for us
The aimpoint PRO mount is not good to go👎 had one break at the hinge that wrapped around the tube, just moving it around the safe. They replaced it, but I wouldn't trust it not to break again.
I just can't get over how much they charge for this stuff. sincerely you can get the same thing for 1/4 the money. Just as strong, not enough weight difference to make a difference.. Good videos though
I used to be a die hard larue mount fan but the last few month I’ve been buying scalarworks they are awesome . Look great and work great
Same, I've been constantly getting LaRue Tactical mounts for years. Might try one of these.

I like Kit Badger. He has a soothing voice and relaxed demeanor. Very good content and not over the top.

Kit Badger is the man....and likes cool music lol
i have irons fromt ghem, they are absolutely the best ive ever seen or used

How do you like the ATACR 1-8?
My ATACR 1-8 on a LEAP 09 is on its way, can’t wait!!
Long time LT660 user (lower 1/3rd). Just bumped to the Scalar 1.93" And there really isn't a reason to go back, TBH. Thx Ivan!!
Awesome background music 👍

Scalarworks! Get on it!
Scaler works just showed there new flip up irons at shot show 2022 and they are also making some for the 1.93 height mounts.
The MRO mount is a work of art.
Unfortunately the MRO is hot garbage
@@mrs.vasquezz What happened to yours?
@@georgeramsburg6432 you dont know that an MRO is basically a sightmark? Look into its parallax error and durability
@@mrs.vasquezz Did not know that but my MRO has been great so far.

Oh shit I just found out about this mount and lo and behold you made a video in it! Small world
Quality content as always. Thanks man.
Scalarworks is pretty much the best. Not cheap, but top of the line products.

Thanks for the vid. I got the Leap 04 w/ an Trijicon RM06.
Thanks for the info Ivan. Good job
Nice intro music. Nice review also.
Ken Hackathorn recommends these.
So does Larry Vickers
Came for the Scalarworks, stayed for the Rancid 👍
Love the video! About to buy a mount!
Can hardly wait for the new 29.62 mounts, hipfire "Butt"cheek weld edition. Scaler Works Sciatica Line.
Hahahaha, good one!
Best mounts out, but you’re gonna pay for em
About 100$ on the secondary market just takes a lil elbow grease and how bad you wanna save money.
My brain hurts a little bit seeing a very short barrel bolt gun that feeds from AR mags and has an RMR for an optic. Confusing but looks fun!
It'll be sneaky sneak with a can on it and ridiculously light weight
Here as part of the Peanut gallery 🐕😁

Does the QD thumbwheel have a seperate tensioning screw for adjustment?
This or Unity Fast mount. the two best in the business

Get the T2. AAA batteries are silly.

Definitely pricey but worth every penny.
Can iron sights be used through the riser?
Only if you use the absolute co-witness mount and possibly the lower 1/3
I think he was meaning physically THROUGH the mount, not through the optic I believe you could through the 1.93”
@@inlandbhsk8r Ahhh...you're right. I misread. Thank you
Is there any info from Scalarworks about torque specs on the mounting nut? Just curious.
You turn til u cant, they're tooless
Cool sh!t badger would also be a good name!
What rifle is being held at 1:17??
I really wish they made a 2.26 mount. But for now, as far as I'm aware, Unity is the only game in town for that height
What scalarworks mount works with the Slx 1x gen 2
How am I supposed to know of a particular optic will fit on this?
How am I supposed to torque this mount to the scope with the limited space?

I’ve always used GDI quick release for most of my builds. How would you compare the GDI next to a scalarworks?
Why is the 1.93 rmr mount nonexistent. It’s on there website but NOBODY has it, including them.
