Chet ain’t wrong…I’m remodeling my house and the master bedroom is in the guest room, the new flooring in boxes is in the dining room, the master bathroom is in the dumpster (the main job now), my tools are in the attic, crawlspace, dining room, and the master bedroom. At least I know the clean clothes are in the laundry room (and dryer), AND my kitchen is clear, can’t block access to the food, hehe. Oh, and dust is everywhere! Somehow I still find time for UA-cam 😁
The effort you make to produce these videos is worth it. What is really good is your crew is not bothered by the camera-and remains as real as can be. Thanks for your work!
Chet, there is a debris shield kit available from deere to prevent the stalks from getting into the brush. Also, at the end of the season, remove the brushes from the cartridge and then lay them flat in a tote. Also, remove the bowls from the meter to prevent them from staying in one spot. Hopefully, your dealer did the downforce sensor pip and the downforce solenoid pip to it.
Nothing better than a Larson struggle bus video!!! Best if its Douggo!!! hahahaha!!! Farmed in the 70-90's... bro the tech in those planters is just insane!!!!
You'll love the JD high spd setup. Less plastic gears and much bigger electric drive motors compared to precision. Also I think the brush belt holds the seed better for higher speeds than the rubber belt that precision uses.
Always interesting always a joy to watch When you hear Chet say junk you know theirs a big repaired job Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
Clean up all the shafts and then put anti-seize them before you put it back together and you won't have any problems again if you have to take it apart again
Thanks for another great video Chet. It was interesting. Sorry about your bin auger coming apart. You all got it apart so you can repair it. Or figure out what to do with the current auger system. Little Bob was a big help here. Let’s us know how it goes on fixing it. Your new used planter is getting new parts and a cleaning and lots of adjustments. You all are doing great with it. Getting it ready for spring. About it I guess. You all take care and be safe. Thanks for everything Chet. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Two things to keep an eye on with that new DB. One is the lug-nuts and spacers on the carriage wheels. And two, the most important part is the frame under the bulk tanks. I had problems with both and Deere has had my planter trying to figure out how to fix it for 6 months. It’s a year old planter.
Push in on those connectors first to take pressure off of lock then a small pair of knipex channel locks work great those slip joint knipex Chet has would probly work good too
Porta-powers for the win. Absolutely. Used them around the shop and in the field. Hand pumps with long hoses, short hoses, a variety of attachments for all kinds of purposes and - my favorite - a couple that came with electrically driven pumps. If used wisely, a great time and work saver.
By the looks of things you may want to keep the other pig barn. Convert it into more pull in storage. As we see thunder and play toys made it into chemical building 🤷🏻♂️😉😂 Use the current one for chemicals and make the other for seed. There is plenty of real estate there to put a loading dock in. Not sure if there is fertilizer in chemical storage. But that and thunder full of diesel in same building bad idea for sure.
When I was trucking and hauling farm machinery some of the farms and most dealers had outdoor loading docks that are a retaining wall at grade level with an earthen or even concrete ramp built up behind it. They usually were at 48" and 36" heights next to each other to accommodate different deck height trailers. If you dig a depression at grade for a dock you have to worry about drainage whereas building on top of grade, no water problems. From what I've seen you have all the equipment to build earthen dock. Recommend bolting a 6x6 to retaining wall for shock absorption when trailers bump the retaining wall.
watching you guys take apart a piece of equipment and put it back together after repairing it and cleaning it is amazing only to think how much money you save doing all that yourself great stuff good job, Doug you instilled greatness in your son and he passes it all to your help who really care about the jobs they do for you keep up the good work thank you for sharing all that with us be safe God bless
Very few people know or understand what you do..Farming is the most satisfying thing I have ever done. California cost me my Farm. I miss is so much farming so much.
Another great video. I’m not a farmer, but enjoy watching and learning what you guys do. Don’t know what the difference is between the NT and DB model planters are, but was told one time that guy in Jefferson, IA named Bauer had developed some after market product for John Deere planters. Deere liked whatever it was and bought his patent from him. As part of the deal the guy wanted his name on the planters that used his design. They agreed to the DB model.
You can get a metal unloading ramp for semi trailers. They are actually pretty cheap compared to a concrete one. Chet you would be able to do what you want, unload by the shed with the lift out of the mud
You have to know this stuff, Chet! They told you it was going to be on the test! Why can’t I shake this premonition that the new planter is going to be the cause of much aggravation this planting season and probably a few working words? Good luck gents.
Love watching the videos glad you got a little moisture, not fun calving in the mud but green grass is around the corner. We’re dry in north east Wyoming, had two grass fires today.
Congrats Brody & Bride. I know you were using what you had on hand to make that auger path work but i would try to reconceive it to keep it flatter. Maybe. Just a suggestion.
Look at Dougo climb….good working video and really like the old fridge at end. It’s amazing to see all the detailed adjustments needed. All y’all could teach some mechanical engineering courses!
I was looking at the snow and you talking about freezing. My AC popped on and I said no but no and moved the thermostat up to 75. I am not ready for AC. I need a decent power bill. Haven’t had one in a year. Utilities have gone out the roof.
A common phrase used in Minnesota & South Dakota..." it is what it is" used by Dougo, Chet, Cole (Sonne Farms) and Andrea ( That Fit Agvocate farmer) in the last week. We never use phrases like that in Southern California.
It was just a down force sensor issue where the connections weren't staying together. The sensors have since been changed out on those to a newer improved connector.
To me, this is one of your best content vid you have put out. Plus, think how much people would pay for a day to be on the struggle bus at Larson Farms. It would be a blast.
If you are going to buy one of those port a powers for little extra money go with the 10 ton not the 4 ton. Have done the home reno big or small neither is any fun if you try to live in the house during the reno.
Dougo: "Friday night, time to go home" as he grabs for the fridge handle 🥳😄

good snorey, zzzzzzz
Keep up the great work Chet
Enjoyed watching the video CHET AND DOUGO and BRODIE 😊
The effort you make to produce these videos is worth it. What is really good is your crew is not bothered by the camera-and remains as real as can be. Thanks for your work!
'Pure panic when you've got a corn stalk crammed up your tube' uuuuuhmmm exsqueeze me?! Do what?!😂😂
Congratulation Mr.& Mrs. Brody on new baby coming soon in April . Yea it’s cheaper by bulks of chemicals , and sometimes have left over chemicals.
Congratulations Brodie and Ms. Brodie on the coming baby Brodie.
The ole struggle bus was hitting on all cylinders!!!

Dougo I'm SO GLAD you got over not wanting to be on camera back in the day! Dougo + anyone else= laughter and learning to be had!
Porta-power for the win on heavy construction jobs too! 👍
Your right about the port-a-power. Bought one years ago and saves a lot of time and frustration. Very handy tool for a farm.
used one in the fire dept back in the 80's
That would be like the second or third item to buy on a farm. Indispensable
Working with one hand holding a camera in the other and the video quality is still excellent! God bless you all and keep you safe!
Yes, it IS amazing what a "one-armed" farmer can accomplish these daze, ain't it?
The right tools make a huge difference!
Hey Chet did you know Milwaukee now makes a cordless hydraulic pump!
You'll love the JD high spd setup. Less plastic gears and much bigger electric drive motors compared to precision. Also I think the brush belt holds the seed better for higher speeds than the rubber belt that precision uses.
Struggle bus was in overdrive! Thanks for another interesting video Chet!
You need them pliers. They work awesome on electrical connectors especially when there full of dirt
Notice how Dougo gets that phone to ring at the right time, Nice!
StRuGgLe 🚌 is BACK‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
But never fear-Dougo & The Dream Team is here!!! GREAT VIDEO!! Missed Toby 🐶❤‼️
Always interesting always a joy to watch
When you hear Chet say junk you know theirs a big repaired job
Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one
Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
That was a good bus tour 😂 thanks for another cool video
Clean up all the shafts and then put anti-seize them before you put it back together and you won't have any problems again if you have to take it apart again
Always enjoy watching you guys and get a laugh along the way!
Can't wait to see Dougo running his new planter
Snapon makes a plier for electrical connections you might want to take a look at
You guys handled all that like it was a cake walk 😂.
Awesome video guys. Stay safe and keep warm. 🚜🚜🚜
We remodeled our house with a D6 high track and started over
Poor Dougo, it’s Larson Farm’n 🇺🇸 and Dougo’s driv’n the struggle bus
😎
That’s a lot of AMS to mix….
Thanks for another great video Chet.
It was interesting.

Keep up the great work Chet! Videos are always on point and staying true to the brand you created.

I believe Andy @ATrippyfarmer had a video out about this. He had the same problem with the undercarriage on his new planter.
Another wonderful day The great thing it was not raining or wet snow with 10 inches of snow on the ground and windy
Brodie is the Detailer In Chief.
Push in on those connectors first to take pressure off of lock then a small pair of knipex channel locks work great those slip joint knipex Chet has would probly work good too
Ports power definitely a must and anti seize the crap out of those stub shafts
ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHÈT 😊
When I was in the Navy, 50 years ago, I work on BIG guns. We had port-a-powers. You are right, they are wonderful
Brody. I am with ya on the non-straight rows. My old boss used to say. You can plant more on a crocked row as long as it is no more than 6 inches out.
I’ve never seen a group of guys work and get along so well together.
Porta-powers for the win. Absolutely. Used them around the shop and in the field. Hand pumps with long hoses, short hoses, a variety of attachments for all kinds of purposes and - my favorite - a couple that came with electrically driven pumps. If used wisely, a great time and work saver.
Pretty dangerous if you're on the "dull" end and put way too much force into something though 😂
Never-ending repairs when running a farm
Them Porter Powers we had them on the fire department back in the day, there a great tool!
Yes!!!

I believe it's Carlisle Tools that make a electric connector pliers.
Wow you guys really had a of it in that struggle bus. Cool video 👍❤️

Really nice to meet you fellas at the farm show keep making great videos 👍👏✌️

Tell DougO they sell wire connector disconnect pliers for those tabs
Thanks for another great video Chet! Congratulations Brodie and Ms. Brodie on the upcoming baby in April.
Aww, we all miss Chris 😢
Struggle bus continues
Don't forget the hydraulic stabilizer on the new one. Great video again like always
Another great video.

The banter is funny as it gets. Great video.
Congratulations Brody on the new baby that is coming. Chet where was Erik to do the heavy lifting with the bin site breakdown.
You can get a metal unloading ramp for semi trailers. They are actually pretty cheap compared to a concrete one. Chet you would be able to do what you want, unload by the shed with the lift out of the mud
Shallow your depth T handle as shallow as it can go and the brushes will come out and go in much easier. It gets the weigh bar away from the brush.
They do make pliers that release those electrical plugs.
I would love to spend a week watching them.
Congrats Brody & Bride. I know you were using what you had on hand to make that auger path work but i would try to reconceive it to keep it flatter. Maybe. Just a suggestion.

Now it’s a good Thursday night!!
6:10... lol Love watching..
We've got the BRAIN TRUST adjusting the planter. 🤣
thank you
My brother does remodeling and he's really good.
I was looking at the snow and you talking about freezing. My AC popped on and I said no but no and moved the thermostat up to 75. I am not ready for AC. I need a decent power bill. Haven’t had one in a year. Utilities have gone out the roof.

We never use phrases like that in Southern California.
Why I like your show, you are very imformdove
That new planter looks like the one Millennial farmer had a great deal of problems with last planting season. Good luck.
It was just a down force sensor issue where the connections weren't staying together. The sensors have since been changed out on those to a newer improved connector.
Jersey Discount Tool sells a pliers for those electric connectors.
Chet instead of spending money on a dock get a portable dock. We use ours all the time. We also use it to load storage vans that can be bought cheap
Love the video chet
The seed belt comes out easier if you set the gage wheel depth t handle to the shallowest setting
I am amazed at how you can keep all the half finished tasks in your brain and not forget any of them. Must be a super power.
400,000 subs! Come on!
To me, this is one of your best content vid you have put out. Plus, think how much people would pay for a day to be on the struggle bus at Larson Farms. It would be a blast.
8:34 look @ that grin..
Try to keep the bowl and bush unit with the same rows. Mark the bush unit that it came out of. You can run each row just like a test stand.
Thanks for the video!
I dont want to know but it scares me to think of just how much you spend just on chemicals for your farm. Be safe have a great day
Magnifique matériel agricole et bien intéressante 😂😮😅😊
Struggle bus is real with the grain bin site.
Check out the portable freight ramps they are meant for places that don't have a truck level dock
Douge lisle makes electrical disconnect pliers
Add planter lights on the planters
great video
Love it
a little compressed air in the plug will help it come out easier.
If you are going to buy one of those port a powers for little extra money go with the 10 ton not the 4 ton. Have done the home reno big or small neither is any fun if you try to live in the house during the reno.
Add some hydraulic cylinders to your porta power collection you will find uses for them all over the farm.
Great video!
Never good when ya ram a corn cob up ur tube chet😂😂😂😂😂
