Time to get a few details done on the rafters and the beams in order to begin installing the roof boards. Chainsaws and sawmills make this happen! The weather has been fabulous but it can change quickly, so prioritizing putting the roof on before the walls is the route I chose!
In the last video I did sort of let you know that Clyde perhaps wasn't going to be with us much longer. He has been dealing with a serious health issue. I do provide an update on Clyde at the end of the video, and truthfully, it doesn't end the way I wanted it to. I had to let my sweet boy cross over the rainbow bridge. 💔 RIP Clyde.
I hate to end a video on such a sad note, but this is up to date information and I almost find it easier to get it off my chest now. As I write this description, it is October 16, the day after we said goodbye.
My heart is broken, Clyde was my most special boy, and losing both he and Lenny within a couple of months of one another has left a huge hole in our family and home. I'm just trying to focus on being grateful for all the great memories they've both given us.
Thank you for watching, and I know this will be painful news for many of you who have known Clyde for the lifespan of this channel.

Clyde had a special spirit about him that will be missed. The Night-land he walks now is richer to have him and we are poorer without him. Sorry for your pain,but be happy knowing you did a great job making his last years the best any dog could have!
Clyde is in a better place. That being said, you and Steve are such great parents that his last four years have been special for him as well. He was a lucky dog. So sorry. 😢

Tough decisions. We lost our beautiful 18 year old calico cat this summer after a long decline. It's really difficult to know when to let them go because they never complain about their pain. You've given Clyde a wonderful 4 years. Bless you.

I am so so sorry for your loss, I cried when you told us about Leonard passing and now as I sit here typing this out, I have tears rolling down my face over Clyde passing. I am so very sorry. I adopted her the day before she was to be put down at 10. With the help of the doctors she had 6 more years, 4 of them were wonderful. You were blessed Clyde.

Michelle. I'm struggling with words to explain how I felt about Clyde. There was just something about him. He just had that x factor that drew us in. I will always think of him as a silly, cuddly, loud, hungry for life dude. Thank you for giving him the life he absolutely deserved. The end of this video was incredibly difficult to watch. I had a rescue chocolate lab that had many health issues as well, The most difficult decision I have ever made in my life was the day it was time to end his suffering. I feel your emotions. Stay Safe Stay Well and Enjoy Each Day

I hate it when the end times come for my pets , this reminds me of my late wife's little doggie in 2020 , having seizures for a week straight from a vet giving her the wrong meds ,and died in my wifes arms one week b/4 my wife passed I knew it when the doggie died it would not be a good out come for my wife ,while my wife was going through her cancer treatments , Prayer's for you all and RIP CLYDE you guys give them a great life out there ,

I am so sorry about Clyde, he had a great life with you. One thing I got for my now 13.5 year old, 120 lb mastiff mix (who I will have to make the same decision you did soon) is a Help Em Up harness. It has helped immensely as his hips have gone down hill. Might help you with future senior doggos.

I'm so sorry about Clyde! I've been watching your channel last couple of years, enjoy it! Going to miss his howl!
So sorry to hear about your loss. I have had a lot of dogs and fully understand the heartbreak and feeling of loss. Every dog with only one exception I have buried and with full honours as I call it. Buried on the Barbour jacket I wore whilst walking with them, badges of the vehicles they rode in, their collar, and covered with the hi-vis jacket I wore when we went to work. As one gets older ( I am 58) and I llok at my GSD sleeping who will be 8yrs old next year I dread the day when he moves in with God. Dogs are family! May God bless you with great memories and new K9 family members.
My deepest and heartfelt condolences for you and Steve. It’s the hardest aspect of having these amazing animals in our lives, but I have no doubt that when the time is right, there will be room for y’all to introduce another amazing dog into the family to love and give an incredible life to.

Glad to hear I'm not alone in arguing with myself while working on projects, i.e.: cutting roof material vs. flooring... FOCUS is my Nemesis.
Our "Old Man" Rufus (a Tri-Merle Aussie Shep) is in the same boat as your Clyde D Bear; on Pred, old and fading fast. Like Clyde, he shows moments of health and vigour, then he reverts to the stumbling old man. Like you, I'm on the "Night Watch" and dreading the end.
I always view it through his Quality of Life eyes, but when its time we know.
Remember the dirt-covered faces (36:10 mark) and the good times, knowing he had a great life. Rest well, Clyde, you've earned it.
Sorry for your pain and sadly sharing it through our old man, Rufus. We'll hold a "Wake" and remember Clyde then as well.
