This was a game made knowing how cheesy it was supposed to be but still rocked its theme. Even comes with a 'blooper reel' if you watch to the end and I have to say I enjoyed seeing the little guy mess up on the door so much.
In high school, during recess, there was an arcade just across the street and they had this game. Over a few weeks, I went there every day and put only 1 coin and if I lost I wouldn't put another. Gradually I got better and a crowd started gathering to see me play xD One day I got to level 3 without getting any damage, but the tunnel got me twice and I died at the submarine's docking bay, shot down by the guards on top of the moving crane(?) Unlike most people who just shot histerically at random without much aim, running of of ammo and get it from the last guy that comes, I payed attention to the indicators and shot enemies in order, one bullet per target. It worked very well. There was a little bit of memorization involved, but not all situations lent themselves to that, so there was also a honing of my reflexes and calm keeping. When I tried that in the tunnel, unfortunatelly, it didn't work as well. I seeing this video, I guess I should have changed the strategy there to firing more frantically, but it was too late. Although, maybe, the game was set to a higher difficulty in that particular arcade machine, requiring my particular play style. It was ages ago, so I don't know anymore.

Just a short few years after that, the arcade room where this game was (a 50inch screen!) started transitioning into a fruit machine parlor, with just a couple of leftover games, like Virtua Tennis. And just yesterday I passed in front of it and it is now a sports bets broker. It's quite disappointing. I guess the generations after mine were too busy with social media and shitty smartphone games and their seamless microtransactions and had no interest in arcade games' cash based "microtransactions" LOL

I wish to see new modern rail-gun shooters, like the remaked the house of the dead. I love these types of games where the player character move by itself holding infinite ammo and 100 enemy in one single small room coming from nowhere. There are a lot of these arcades to try, yet I want companies to make more of them.

This was played on a recent version of Demul. We were using mice. You can't use a second mouse on Demul, but we got around this by playing it with Kaillera netplay.

oh wow, i think our arcade used to have this game. the art on the side looked a lot like 007 Nightfire so I always thought it was some weird arcade games ripoff of it. The cheesy dialouge sells it, and the little outtakes as well

I remember playing this on a (thankfully) free arcade... every boss handed my ass to me and I failed at every minigame. Good times. There was also a ghostbusting game of sorts... three players and a screen where each player could look through to aim better I guess. I still haven't found the name of that thing.
