I truly believe it was always Tywin’s intention to send Tyrion to the wall. Get rid of him without having to be known as a kinslayer. And then Jaime comes in with this offer and he’s like “ummm okay bet”.
I don't think tywin was manipulated by Cersei he's to clever. Maybe tywin saw this as an opportunity to send tyrion to the nights watch where, he has to relinquish all titels so, cannot gain his birth write of casterly rock.
It’s scenes like these with Jaime that remind me why I adore his character, you know deep down he’s good of heart, but so complicated as a character that it’s fascinating trying to figure him out.
I really fell in love with Jamie after his redemption arc. His bond with his brother is one of the best thing in the series. Always sticking out for him. I hope Jamie is alive when eventually J R R Martin finishes his series. I know he's dead in the show but George can keep him alive in the book. I hope in the book he's finally understands that Cersi ruined everything and is the reason for the downfall of her kingdom and her children. I hope Jamie will understands it and runs away from Cersi and she gets what's coming for her.
I feel like Jamie should’ve threatened to become Tyrions champion in trial of combat. That way if Jamie lose, Tywin loses everything, so he’ll do everything he can to spare Tyrion.
I like how Tywin stops eating when Jamie says the mad king wanted his head
Jaime's always been complicated, but one things for sure, he did love his little brother
Jamie was literally the only man that Tywin at least tried to explain himself too.

"I know nothing of the sort" the weakest lie I've seen Tywin tell

Jamie might have been a twit but he loved his brother probably the only one who did out of that family
"He'll be punished accordingly." He wasn't going to execute Tyrion.
tywin making excuses to Jamie to justify an execution of his own son
Jaime wasn't perfect, he made his poor choices but he 100% tried to be a good person.
Tywin: He killed his king
joffrey is king
Jamie to tywin: i saved your life so you could murder my brother
Jamie didn’t even try to call Tyrion innocent he just said “as did I” 😭

Jaime is deep complex character
"Performing my sworn duty as hand of the king" someone should point out that performing his sworn duty as hand is what got dear old Ned killed.

Tyrian and jamie loved each other as brothers should.
