"Ugh, what a terrible, terrible battlefield!" Yes, the dumb computer has given you an incredible height advantage which gives your weapons longer range while forcing your enemy to exhaust themselves climbing uphill to get at you. But, fortunately, you've spotted some flat ground that you can run to which offers you no tactical advantages, at all.
While I agree with your point, was there no better way to put it? Also, it's not very gentlemanly to mow down the enemy piecemeal as they single-line march up those two cliffs. Funny, perhaps, but certainly uninteresting.
I used to love this game! In the final campaign I’d keep playing until I ruled everything as Napoleon! But only thing that sucks when you fast forward a battle you don’t hear the troops marching, the drums, gun fire, cannon fire and so on! It’s that small stuff that makes it so interesting
That was a Pyrrhic victory if ever I saw one. To misquote King Pyrrhus, any more victories against the Piedmont-Sardinians and you shall be utterly ruined.
i really need this walkthrough since i just bought this game on 75% steam sale, thanks for ur videos. will give u a subs and some likes on ur total war vids
23:49 Although a heroic victory in terms of kill ratio, if another enemy army were to come over to relieve the siege, then you would have lost the campaign as that is your entire army. I would consider it pyhrric if anything.
Not gone line, when you didn't put you cannons at the cliff edge, I was frustrated. But its an old video and I'm sure you've learned. looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Flanking maneuver. Good idea to move your troops to face the enemy so they don't shoot at your side.

Amazing position you were given if you took advantage of the heights.
Once again loved the video
