My dad and I were talking today. He told me when he was a kid in a Englewood in Chicago, the churches were here and there. And all the people would walk to church. There were no big parking lots. So people would walk and talk. Imagine knowing everyone, walking and talking on your way to church. Then talking at church. Imagine the accountability. Imagine the comradery. It's what is missing in American church.. To big of houses, Mc mansions, really. We need to simplify, we need to love again. To know our neighbors. To know their kids. To let their kids marry our kids. Dump the big house move to a smaller house and walk to church. Know your neighbors. Love them. Less is more. It is. Go big, by going small. Get back to getting to know some people around you.

blindfaith2go l couldn’t agree more! A large part of being sanctified is though the fellowship of the church community. I have had the privilege of staying in a small farm town with bible centered church and a community that actually lives sacrificially to fulfill the one another’s... honestly I never understood how the gospel can change lives until I had seen the changes take place in people’s lives in the few months of living there.
Sadly I was forced to move back to a city and got involved with a church where it seems Christians are more concerned with their schedules than fellow believers. Having to arrange meetings out side of church once every couple of months for “accountability.” But sometimes it takes those who see the fault to take convince their brothers and sisters in Christ of the need to fulfill the one another’s in relational Christianity. There was a book by Francis Chan... “multiply” or something like that which I found highly instructive on the need for biblical fellowship not just individual knowledge hidden at home.
Thank you for your comment, you reminded me to go find some folk to walk with this day.

@blindfaith2go @stomp1691 Thank you both for sharing, your comments are incredibly insightful and encouraging. I am currently seeking a church home and I will definitely consider what you've both touched on, true bone-of-my-bone flesh-of-my-flesh fellowship and community. God bless the both of you 🙏🏿

I feel a warm feeling knowing that even though I fall short of the Glory of God, God still loves me. He is a patient and loving God. I want to please Him. I want His Will for my life. Thank you so much Jesus for showing me truth in life. You saved my life physically, and eternally. For that I am so amazed and grateful.

The world is full of negative competition. There are people who will try to paint a bad image of others or even destroy the lives of others in order to achieve what they want. That is not the attitude that God desires from us. We are to esteem others better than ourselves.

If God exists, how do we know?
If he up and left one day, it seems as if the world would just go on. How do we know he hasn't already left us?
I don't care if the bible says it's not possible for him to leave. The bible is just a book - and therefore fallible.
I don't care if the book says it's infallible. NOTHING is absolute as it is impossible for us to truly know anything OBJECTIVELY

      Relax nathan. I repeat relaaaax.
I'll tell you for free. HE EXISTS. and I feel you probably wasting the few days you have on earth missing out on His goodness.
Could you Just believe?heb 11:6 Like a child. Just believe and purpose to pursue him for yourself. With sincerity of heart. I challenge you.
      Thanks

Yes. Nothing is absolute. That's an absolute statement. Cheers ;)

    • @VlenceLeuth
      @VlenceLeuth 5 років тому +1

Yes. Impossible to know anything objectively. Definitely impossible to know objectively that the Bible is just a book and is fallible because it is just a book.

"If God exists, how do we know? If he up and left one day, it seems as if the world would just go on."
Except that the burden of proof is on you. No matter what evidence we offer to you, you will probably find an alternative explanation to why anything is why it is. God's existence is verifiable by the very act of existence. Evolution and materialism is insufficient to give account of why you and me reason. They fail to explain the enigma of consciousness. If we are just matter, why argue for truth? What is truth? Is truth and fictional category of thought? What are thoughts? Are thoughts mere reflections of chemical reactions of our brain?
"The bible is just a book - and therefore fallible." : You're begging the question as you are presuming the non-existence of God to disprove the existence of God.
"NOTHING is absolute as it is impossible for us to truly know anything OBJECTIVELY"" : Another logical contradiction as you are making an objective statement to make deny the existence thereof.

Nathan, how should i believe your statement if nothing is absolute? Maybe your just dreaming since you have no way of knowing anything objectively.

Don't investigate your doubts, just swallow it--it must be sin.

    • @KevGuerra

You can check the answer Jesus gave to John the Baptist's doubts: Luke 7:22-23. Look for more evidence if you really need it.

    • @vilicus77

@@KevGuerra The problem with that is circular reasoning. If I point to the bible to prove the bible is true, I have committed a logical error. The only way to test the validity of the text is to investigate its truth claims against something testable outside the text.
