when you hear a solid beep but read a line that indicates parking radar distance with some distance from the car icon on the screen - you go closer. Until the read line will be a near car on screen.
You should definitely show how the car can warn you about passing traffic, when you pull out from a parking spot. It senses the passing car quite far away and gives an definitive warning.
Thanks Your right I should make a video about this great safety feature. At this time I don’t have footage of that feature with the ID4 and Mac Volkswagen sold the only one we had. When they get a 2022 I will see if I can make a video then.
That’s a good question. That was a 2021 We sold that car a year ago. I am pretty sure it was a Pro but I don’t know if I can find out for sure. I will have to do some research and get back to you.
Thanks for the question. I was a little nervous when I made this video. I didn't want to bump in to the car in front and I was not used to the ID4 yet. It is easier to get close going backwards because you have the camera. Yes as long as your park assist is on the front sensor will give you the visual display. I found in another instance you have to get very close for it to give you an audible warning. I think I will do another video where I put the front audio waring in it.
It works on the side if you are turning in to something. As much as the car can’t go sideways so it works if you are at full turn and going to turn in to something. It would have to be at bumper height so it would not detect a curb.
I've found my parking sensors to be kind of slow to react sometimes. When I pull into my garage it will go from no notice, no beeping to WATCH OUT!!!! almost instantly. No in between unless I go extremely slow and give it ample time to update.
Are you referring to an ID4 or parking sonar on all cars. I have driven lots of cars with this feature and it seems unless you are traveling at less then 10mph it will seem delayed.
@@macvolkswagentv7476 Talking about the ID4 specifically, although this is the first vehicle I've had that I actually parked in my garage so maybe its been like that on other cars and I didn't notice as much.
@@macvolkswagentv7476 I heard the one’s being made in Tennessee do have the sensors plus more (like the lighted logo in the rear) but we early adopters who got the imported German made ones are probably out of luck.
It’s fascinating they are slightly different. At this dealership we only get a few a year and if they are pre sold it’s hard for me to make a video with them.
There is beeping with forward sensors. You have to get a little closer then I did in this video. I did not have video footage of me getting that close to the Jeep with this vehicle. I thought the footage I had was enough to make a helpful video for some even though I didn’t get the beeping with front sensors. I will be doing the same video with another car soon. I have learned a lot in making these first 10 videos so when I do the next one I will be more inclusive. Thanks for your questions.
I have ID.4 GTX since November 2021, I think to sell it because infotainment system is so bad, the worst in the market. I drive around 170 km every day from Monday to Friday.
Yeah, that's the part missing from this vid...where this feature ("maneuver braking") unexpected slams the car to a stop, knocking the camera out of his hand and triggering a loud expletive ;) You can shut this off by going into the settings from that screen he is showing with the cam and warning lines. But then it defaults back to "on" when you next use the car. The big problem is that this "braking" is routinely triggered--at least in my '23 Pro S by phantom triggers--shadows, break in pavement, etc. I love the vehicle but this is one of its most irritating features.

trange that the forward parking towards the jeep doesn't give any beeping sound?
Good demo.
Thank You

What version of id4 is the car, is it pure+, pro, xpro, xpure plus. Answer please. I'm not sure all of these have the 4 sensors in front and rare.

So the front sensor is auto turn on when you approaching obstacles ?

Does it work on the sides, does it work with helping avoid curb rash on the wheels?

Just keep backing up until your hear the clunk warning sound.
I’ve heard US models do not have the sensors for the 3.0 software update’s Automatic Parallel Parking feature. Do you know if that is true?
Thank you. I don’t know.

Mine slams on rather awkwardly. Is that normal?
