    It's harder for me to hit fastballs, because I'm always looking for off speed. I'm talking of course about The Show.

      Yes, very interesting. I used to play as a kid. So I like to see how they teach these days. There was never access to information and train back in those days. It was either you were good, or not.

    Hey Matt, do me a favor. Get Brian Cashman on the phone, tell him to fire Marcus Thames, and to hire you as Yankees hitting coach.

    Hey coach - any advice about being a sub/bench player without a specific position on the team?

    • @luisfrometa8368
      @luisfrometa8368 3 роки тому +2

      Find one or two things you can become than majority of the players on your team. When you get game time make sure you are ready. Minimise strike out create walk and put balls in play.

      Hit. Hit. Hit. There will always be a spot for someone who can mash. It makes it especially uncomfortable on the Coach as it directly translates to run. (RBIs and Batting avg)

      I mean those guys make 500 grand a year minimum because that’s the league minimum, so uh, probably not😂

    Hey Matt, is throwing 75 at 13 good?

    • @domination4892
      @domination4892 3 роки тому

      Well, the average pitcher at 13 throws 65, so you are above average. Work on your circle change and curveball and you will be a deadly pitcher one day.

      @steverobinson4199 3 роки тому +2

      Yes indeed! I threw 75 at 13 and about 77-78 at 14. I think I was the second hardest thrower in my league at the time. The hardest throwing pitcher had trouble throwing strikes. Keep it up kid and work on control. When you throw that hard at your age, develop a good slider. Lights out for batters kiddo!

      @@kyairsoft3828 anytime man. I had much more to say, just kinda busy atm. Like... dont throw a curve till you're a bit older. Too taxing on the elbow and wrist joints. My coaches wouldnt even let me try at your age. Just a snap slider. Like Dominion said, develop the change as well. Its awkward at first, and you may never even use it at your level. But definitely practice it. The most important thing is to not over tax yourself. Save your arm and build it up for the future.... keep tossin'!
