Dude you are amazing. Another game I played the heck out of during my childhood. Especially because I had a younger brother and it was two player coop. We found that if one player dies and has no lives you could mash all the buttons on their controller and they'd come back. Not sure if there was a secret code or something but, basically unlimited lives. We beat the game over and over. Such great times.
A bit of both through lots of practice. I used to speedrun the old Resident Evil 2, and after you play it enough you start to remember things to the point you dont really think about it. Except for the more tense moments like boss fights where paying more attention is very important lol So yeah, a combination of photographic memory and muscle memory along with lots of practice.
You don’t need a photographic memory to do this. Just practice and repetition mostly. I remember I had played some of my NES games so much as a kid that some games I literally beat without even paying attention. Muscle memory just took over. I do not have a photographic memory but I did have a pretty good memory so that can be an asset. All I can say is I recently got into playing some of my old NES games that I used to crush but I suuuuck now! That muscle memory was truly a thing!
When you play less-popular games like this, I'm often unsure if I played it before. I spent years and years renting games every weekend, beating them, and then returning them the next day... and it was fun, but some were just not memorable enough to recognize 30+ years later.
Loved this game. fun fact its actually based on the revolution in cuba and you play as Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. Got censored for north america from Guevara war
ARCUS KILLING EVERYTHING LATELY. Long time subscriber.. millions more to come.

Thank you for doing these runs. Brings back lots of memories. So much I actually dug out my old nes console, cleaned it up and started playing again.
You can't have a tank beeping that early. I know the feeling man.
He said"Took it a little slow there." I must have missed that part.
I'm watched all of your videos and they all are friggin awesome! I wish you do this work as long as you live. Cheers Arcus!
EASILY one of the greatest arcade style shooters of all time!
This is NOT Jorf’s favorite game.
Another quality vid by our man, Arcus!
arcus you are an angel that send from Gods above THANK YOU FOR THIS !
Speed Running my #1 NES game. I love it.
Arcus mustache is looking imperial as ever. Mash mash massssh!
the passionless goal of the automaton is the carry out its functions until it ceases to exist.
I want to see a speed run with all hostages rescued. It's too bad the two player mode was goofy, this was a great game.
Those explosion sounds and flashes are straight out of Iron Tank.
Same font, a lot of the same graphics and sound effects. Both games are made by SNK.
@@postplays I know.
My childhood right here
Loooooove this game, sick run!
This is the first game I ever beat. I was 3 or 4. Infinite continues helped. :p
In the last 80s I played this arcade game at the pizza place near my house whenever I got the chance. Must have been 6 or 7 years old.
This is awesome.. maybe you could do life force one day
Its the No Limit Tank!!!
Make 'Em Say Ugh! Ugh! NA-NAA-NA-NAAA!!!
NO LIMIT SOLDIERS...I THOUGHT I TOLD YA!!!
Arcus and Ricky Bobby both like to Go Fast!
Was digging the stage 3 music at the end there.
Do you know how manny continues i needed to finish this game 🤣🤣
Judging by the amount of explosions, this game was directed by Michael Bay.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he was part of the initial game development but then got fired when he demanded more explosions and helicopters
8bit game sound so lovely..good job bro..
Wow my favorite nes game of all time🤓 Never thought to see a speedrun of it😀
10:14 - I've always thought those were fish skeletons.
A gold game, truly really memorable
Patria o muerte!
I wasn't aware of a pseudo sequel to Iron Tank, looks cool.
Unreal athlete.
It's seriously impressive, do you have photographic memory or something? Or is that just insane muscle memory?

@gabe gheb: calls people morons. Proceeds to repeat what was already said almost verbatim, while barely writing in a legible way.
Ok.
He is powered by cats
That reminds me of the other one that you are the soldier in. No tanks but secrets
great game
Love the content.!
I wonder if Arcus ever rage quits...

I forgot all about this game!!
This seems harder than Jackal
I used to run batman as well and it would drive me insane. Another fun run is the NES version of Shadowgate. I could run that game in about 23 min
Мой первый картридж был с этой игрой😀
Fk yeah man your the best, 🤩 I could not remember the title of this fkin game and I will be looking for a copy for the mini. 🤘😎
Let's go!!
Nice
Лучшая игра детства
I used to play this for 3 hours straight and not beat it. I think I did one time ever. Damn.
This game was fun with 2 players!
Clunk. That was a good clunk. *Arcus wife crying. Good cry. Let it out. :)
The only game my dad and I played more than Contra/SuperC
I thought this game was so much better then Ikari Warriors
First time I have seen this,
But that's what I thought it's akari warriors but better.
Soo, Uh you gonna eat that sub?
This is a difficult game, no doubt
When your NG2 grind is done, maybe you should play a wide variety of games again. Might be a nice change.
wow.... how do u keep the tank sooo long 😅❤ It blows up the second I jump in 😂👹🤫
They should of called this game , Commando 2
Loved this game. fun fact its actually based on the revolution in cuba and you play as Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. Got censored for north america from Guevara war
Wow
Yeeeee
Ikari warriors clone? I swear ive played this and it wasn't Ikari
Commentus
You're looking a little under the weather pal. Also, MASHMASHMASH and Clonk.
The ghosts of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro are smiling down on this speedrun
**Salute**
Tambiem llamado che guevara
🤦🏻♂️
@@hardfugoo1 y lo peor es que es un juegazo
That game was created because of Fidel Castro and Che from Cuba
FOR THE REVOLUTION!
Clunk sound effect... ugh. :(
