For me the price is very good. 1,466 pieces on the $150 Ford GT compared to 1,432 pieces on the McLaren F1 car $250 (Canadian prices). The GT is almost 10¢ per piece, so that's ok.

My only gripe about this build is the strength of the door hinges which flex too much -if anyone could make a video on the simplest, most effective fix to firm them up, we'd all appreciate it.
I *hate* the stock seats on this. Anyone have any ideas on something a bit more pleasant? Preferably something that allows a small figure to sit in it?
When it comes to 1:12 scale, think of it as a 12 by 12 grid with only one of those boxes being the car, so you would need 144 of these to have a full ford gt not 12
I love those black display frames you have the cars mounted to on your wall. Did you create that from the box the kit was in or did you do something custom?
They're actually sold by an Italian company called HUYL (hang up your lego). They make custom wall displays each made specifically to mount their respective cars. They're a bit pricy but worth it for the end result I think. (huyl.it/) (Not an affiliate, just a fan)

Something is off with how you’ve built the area around the headlights. Otherwise, car looks great and love the video. More functionality than last year’s F1 car at a fraction of the cost is a win in my books.
I did, when finished I had to tear apart the back end to fix it in order to move the pistons. My manual had serveral errors, the the differential was the worst. It is also super tight to move, other models the came was so smoother.

Perfect size, not perfect price. I feel this describes a majority of Lego sets released recently save for maybe perhaps Speed Champions and a smaller two of the 3 up and coming Indiana Jones releases! The crusade plane chase set in particular almost feels like a bargain price compared to most LEGO sets you get these days! 03:06 it’s because they resemble the aforementioned Flying Buttresses, look it up.

What is a flying buttress if not a big hole in the side of the car? But you're absolutely right, modern Technic sets are leaps ahead of their predecessors. But judging these by modern standards or against System Creator Expert sets of equivalent size, they look pretty holy to me.

You can't Escape this video, it is a true Expedition of the fantastically fabulous Ford Focus, I mean, Ford GT.
It looks as if you incorrectly installed flexible components under the lights. They should go up higher. Then the front looks much better.

My favorite part of technic sets are the realistic pistons and differentials I wish the made Lego valve trains with pneumatic lifters

Something could absolutely be built wrong with my build. I did an accidental drop test and had to guess at reassembling some parts.
