seems nice, but looks quite bulky/heavy. I'm not a big fan of adding Vlock on the FX6, especially since there are FX6 batteries with Dtap ouput, and with two of them you can go through a day while powering nucleusM. and my screen has its own batteryes, as well as the LEYE II, which can last one entire day on a single little 5D battery. Also, beware of the solidity of the battery locking system, you are missing a part from Tilta to secure the Vlock attachement. you might damage the FX6 battery locking system, it is not made to support such a weight.
I always wondered about camera persons getting ready for the job. Very interesting! Well Don video !!! I leaned a lot ! Thanks. Keep the camera built is great idea
Thanks for sharing, you seem one of few that actually work in the field with your gear. Lots of videos about rigging from people who's job is apparantly UA-cam itself.
Hi Amy. The algorithm finally threw one of your videos my way so I was able to discover your excellent channel. Cheers and thanks for the all wonderful content!
Thanks Amy, new subscriber here. Video was extremely beneficial to me as I run the FX6 and also have a Prado for crew car. Your website looks great as well. Cheers
Nice, love these kinda videos as I'm always wondering how others do it. I"m a easyrig person myself so hope to see more stuff from there. Now what do I do, get a BMP6K PRO or FX6.....ahhhhhh
@@tiggermedia i find any camera that is a cinema camera has lots of exterior buttons so you don’t need to dive deep into a menu every time you want to change a setting!
Hey! Love your build definitely taking some of those parts to our rig. We just got the Zacuto gratical eye and I’m having trouble figuring out what parts I need to rig it to the fx6 like yours. Anyway you can shoot me a parts list? Thanks!
Its the pelican 1620 and yes I had to make a custom trek pack, as they do not offer this size case with a trek pack, but I only have small pockets on the side for the trek pack to store a lens or 2, headphones, mics etc!
Thanks for sharing this Amy! Epic rig!! Do you connect the zacuto via SDI & the monitor via hdmi ? I wonder if the opposite can be done, outputing the sdi to a ninja V+ to get 4K 120 FPS prores raw & the hdmi to the zacuto Kameleon pro for monitoring, Thanks again!
Great piece...just bought a Fx9 and ordered a Fx6. Don't know whether or not to pull the trigger on the gratical eye or not for the Fx6 as I like using a viewfinder. How do you find it?
Hello Amy, I like you reviews. I have a question. What kind of foldable trolly do you have? It is very handy and impressive! I live in USA. Can I buy it in here? Thank you for your advice.
I recently bought the 503 ultra bright for my FX6 but I have been debating also getting the Zacuto Z-finder (but not the EVF) for when I need to use that extra point of contact. Am I just half-assing this or is that an OK solution? Why do I keep not buying the Zacuto EVF? edit: also - when you hit magnify on your handle, does it magnify on your Zacuto? Don't you miss that function (if not) ?
How do you like to rig your camera? Big or Small?
Both lol
@@LemarGriffinfilms Me too!! lol
Smallest I can get it and still fit the job. But your built out rig is inspiring.
@@heraldocreative4735 Thanks! We have the FX6 as an A camera and then the smaller A7SIII as a B cam for smaller work!

you should do a video showing how you fit the gear in your car with the shelving and drawers
I'm also a grab and go operator. I like your system.
Definitely enjoyed this video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
thank you Amy.

"I dont have the time or the patience for that..." I trully felt that, love the idea of just leaving the camera set up right inside the box haha

Thanks so much! Your comment means so much! Just trying to give other camera ops some useful information!
I wish i had that much equipment, but love the way you explain it if I ever do.
Thanks!
Really useful, more please!
More to come!
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks for the rundown, rig looks great!

love it, I'm on the edge of getting Fx6, would love to see some of your fx6 footages, thank you for doing this awesome video
Got a video coming up on footage from the FX6!
Great overview Amy, great to see the Misfit Kick & ONE Tray combo working great for your FX6 setup
Great products! Would highly recommended for the FX6 🔥🎥
This is great. Appreciate you taking the time to make this. New subscriber here! 👊🏾
Awesome, thank you!
Love this video! Awesome truck setup!
Thanks! 👍
Great breakdown of prepping for a shoot! I’ve just bought a 4wd so the packing is great to see for inspiration. Loved the style. :)
Thanks! Glad you liked it! Really appreciate the feedback
the shorter microphone you need is the Audio-Technica AT875R ;)
Awesome thanks ill check it out
Nice work, i love the tilta cage on my FX 6 but find that the battery plate really blocks the card ports which is frustrating.
im looking into the Tilta. I want a rig setup that i can also do vertical shooting as well.
28-135 F4 G OSS Is a Sonys ENG line of FF/APS-C glass to give you that B4 lens feel, it's not a cine the FE C 16-35mm T3.1 is there only cine lens.

Hi great video .... which pelican case did you go with for the FX6 and was it with trek pack thanks

cool video. May please ask, which pelican case do you use to pack the fx6 still built up?

Yes I do, it loops through... some say this causes a delay... I have not experienced this at all!
How much is the weight of that whole rig ?
Why the ronin over the crane 3s?! :O
Weight and reliability 😳
Which Ronin do you use?
Have you had any problems with the zacuto mount? Little worries with putting that much stress on the Sony handle
None its solid as a rock!
Thanks for this video, it's really helpful. I've an FX6 on the way and would love to know what you used to mount the Gratical Eye to the camera?
It is the Axis Mini from Zacuto
@@amycreighton thanks for this. I meant how did you attach the axis mini to the Fx6 but I should have been clearer.

Do you use a lens support with the 28-135 on the FX6, or does the matt box also act as a lens support?
yes I use a lens support

you can program a button on the Zacuto to magnify. I found the z finder too big and awkward for how I shoot.
@@amycreighton but do you have to take your hand off the lens or grip to hit the button? I find myself hitting the grip magnify button constantly
